Consensus seems to be that 5.56 is just about adequate but you are usually better off with .308 and up.

5.56 has a much higher tendency to tumble after entering the body, makes some gnarly wound channels but might not be that useful if you're looking for a clean kill (I.e straight thru lungs and heart)

But aside from that? Yeah. It's a light, modular, platform with a mostly self contained operation that'll treat you right if you treat it right.

If your local hunting spots allow you to hunt with it, go for it.

Contrary to popular belief, owning guns is legal in the Netherlands and my dad has owned them all my life. You just need to cuck a lot to the government and police. A police car blocking your driveway once a year so the coppers can check if you store your guns in a different safe from your ammo has sat wrong with me since I was a kid.
I hope Trump makes immigration rules more reasonable because I am building a company right now just to be able to afford an $800k investment to fast track me towards citizenship as a white guy who wants to become an American citizen and contribute while some brownoid is crossing the border illegally right now who gets the benefits for free.
I always wanted to move to Wyoming, in part because of the great opportunities for tax evasion that offers but I realized I would miss the sea/ocean too much living there. I have now settled for Washington because of the climate and nature, with a condo property in Bellevue and a main residence on Orcas Island where I will join the OISC. My dad has teached me a lot about construction so I could help those lads out with maintenance of the grounds. I know Washington is a blue state but coming from Europe it can't be worse. I also know I can only own semi auto's but I am used to that here in the Netherlands so that is fine. I will hopefully get to know some buddies in the better gun rights states to hang out with sometimes and shoot the real fun stuff. As long as I can own a 700nitro express and some other personal semi-auto favorites where I reside it is fine with me.
Are there any WA anons who have further insights into the reality of owning guns in Washington State?

The West Coast is beautiful but the water is way too cold to swim in, and you'll be hella far from home. If you want unswimmable beaches don't rule out New Hampshire or Maine and way closer to Europe if you want to see family, just an example.

Well if travel is nbd I'd still consider living lots of different places and just traveling internally when you feel like it. WRT Washington State specifically, the more inland area is really beautiful and verdant with great areas for outdoor enthusiasts. Overall it is a really cool state. I used to climb there, in Oregon, and Canada as well as California of course. I do think that if you consider yourself to be a traveler you should visit a lot of areas in Burgerland before picking one to settle in.
