Stock is known to crack since it's Kel-Tec plastic although the frequency varies by model. I wouldn't recommend it, but it is probably the cheapest 5.56 semi-auto that takes stanags you can find right now. Just be prepared to RMA it (they don't even bother fixing them, they'll just send you a new receiver).

What's the most popular semi auto rifle in canada?
My guess would be an SKS, but google suggests a bunch of links for .22lr guns.
Maybe that's just google being gay though.

Probably the 10/22, followed closely by the SKS

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they blanket-flag stuff based on keywords. So if you buy an "AR-15 buffer tube spring" it'll get stopped, but a regular "buffer tube spring" sails right through. You might be able to get a lawyer to fight it; I've heard of it happening successfully with bolt-action mags that were incorrectly stopped.

10/22 mags holding more than 10rds were prohib'd, not exactly the same scenario but it demonstrates how retarded and arbitrary enforcement is and thus why it's reasonable to wonder if importing a mag for a prohib gun is enough to get you wellness checked.

They could fix it but it'd require using a different polymer. Some polymers are proprietary and licensed by larger companies like Dupont who own the actual formula and have it patented. There's a reason Tavors cost more than twice as much and it's not just talmudic sales practices; the polymer they use is incredibly robust and I've never personally read about anyone breaking their stocks. Keltecs are made for a certain pricepoint and I'm sure they could make better guns if they charged more, but then they'd sell less. Keltec is basically just Deluxe Hipoint.

Why can’t they just make that component out of aluminum?
>>
So why do you guys get g36s but we can't get them in burgerland?
>>
>>62877715
because they requires special milling machines and extra costs that go much higher than you'd think. The RDB and RFB aren't exactly AR15s flying off the shelves night and day. Keltec's whole thing is polymer guns, they use it as much as humanly possible in all of their designs.

Besides bullpups have weird shapes and tend to lend their obscure geometry better to injection/roto molding processes. Same way guns like the AK/T81 are served well by stamping and folding processes, whereas guns like AR15s are best served through milling/CNC machining. The shapes/cuts/contours/routing all determine the best materials.

Ergo, vis a vis, concordently Keltec makes the guns they do because polymer is their thing, and the guns they make are as good as they can be with the polymer they have.

In theory we can get G36s, but in reality they are unobtainium sort of like an actual FS2000. There's a handful of Anons with them but most people will never touch one in Canada, the closest they'll get is an SL8 or some Tommyclone for $10k.
>>
>>62877729
PASGT for $25 is an absolute steal (pics to confirm its actual PASGT kevlar and not a knock off) Usually PASGT's go for $125-$200
>>
>>62877728
How would it require any special type of milling machine? You would just write a different program for the part, it could easily be done with any 5 axis machine. Could even be done on a three axis machine, probably in three operations.
>>
>>62877737
We have two types of G36's. Actual G36's that were imported for various reasons (i actually got to shoot one that was FBI surplus that was imported by a movie company) and then the ones made from parts kits and receivers that TI brings in. Tommybuilt is a completely different thing as it uses an SL8 receiver. The XM8 they make off the SL8 is really cool though i want one.
>>
>>62877724
they aren't "real" g36s
>>
>>62876641
that's a CIC officer, you can kind of make out the giant maple leaf cap badge and cross swords. Auxilliary reserve. He works with cadets and isn't trained in anything air force related. They don't even do BMQ. Don't worry, they're just commissioned babysitters
>>
>>62877755
How do the G36's that TI brings in work again. They aren't SL8 conversions.
>>
>>62877742
It would require Keltec to start sourcing a high quality aluminum stock just for that single part on that specific model of gun, then tasking their machine with producing only that part for a set time. If there isn't a constant demand for it they are producing in bulk and gambling on how many rifles they'll sell, or producing in limited quantities and thus run the risk of not moving units because a single part's production is in delay. No one is saying it's physically impossible to do, but there's logistical considerations when you put a product out to market and simplifying the production process and supply chain are some of the top concerns.

Living conditions I'm not sure about. Halifax has some decent shacks now compared to 10 years ago.

Officer bloat I'm sure exists but in my (navy) experience most of that and the kind of faggotry you see posted on here is in shore units, somewhat ironically since you'd assume the gay shit happens on ships.

Equipment wise it's same as it ever was honestly. Always make do with old shit, that's been the CAF way for decades.

I think the real problem right now is they've pushed so hard with the diversity bullshit that they've alienated the usual recruiting base (white males) in favour of groups that are never going to join in any numbers (browns, chugs, women). This just leads to burnout when we're all doing 4 jobs since no one wants to join.

Aside from the barrel which is idiot with a barrel tool tier and the stock which is idiot with a hammer and punch tier the g36 can be assembled with your bare hands and a screwdriver. You shouldn't need a workbench. I clean mine in the kitchen sink. This shit about "not real g36's" is car battery applied to the nuts tier cope. It's like saying american AR's are cope because real m16's aren't disassembled when issued. If the trigger pack and the reciever match, and the colors of the plastic match & fit it's a "real g36". Does putting a C barrel and handguard on mine make it a cope? What utter dogshit. iirc they're lithuanian contract overruns though that's not quoting the bible. Of course this garbage with the latest batch is shitty but so is everything else to do with firearms in canada these days. Maybe if you idiots quit seething so goddamn hard all damn day over "cope status" and put that anger towards firearms law reform we could buy handguns and the other half of the 5.56 market. NTA, and I agree with what you're saying, but I recently taught my wife to shoot and we both had a lot of fun.
I didn't realize before we started that she was still a little nervous around guns so it felt good to get her over that. I don't think she'll come out too often but I'm glad we did it.

What's your guys opinion on Carl Gustaf Mausers?
I looked at one a little while ago that was in fairly good shape, but the guy wanted $1100 for it and that seemed pretty steep.
A local pawn shop that deals in rifles has one listed on their sight for $500 but it has a scope on it.
Are these worth less with scopes? I would prefer it to not have a scope on it but the price seems fair

My loyal subjects (voters). My second decree is all laws/amendments shall and must be run through a CanGen thread to determine if it will be put into law. Instead of Yes or No, it is retarded or based.
-Voting would only apply for anons/user that arent new fags (6 months of off and on use and has to demonstrate some knowlage of retarded information like who BS is and must prove that they are white via voice recognition AI and skin scanners)
-If something is deemed retarded, we will cast that person who proposed it to india or isreal (if it still exists under my rule)

Now saying this, my second decree is to demolish anyone who uses the "new" Canadian flag and reinstate our traditional flags (any pre-1965 is acceptable) to show that Canada is a white mans land. This law will also include the destruction of the RCMP to be replaced with my own loyal gestapo. This folks will provide free 22lr for those who give any information to those unloyal to my cause.

He also holds the world record for most elections contested

Use of Alternative Name

If you want an alternative name to appear on the ballot, in addition to providing proof of identity, you must provide the returning officer with documents that prove that you are commonly known by that name. You must do so if you want to use a different given name (even if it is a common abbreviation of the name) or a different last name (e.g. your married name, if it is not your legal last name). You may not use an alternative name that can be easily confused with the name of a political party.

At a minimum, you must provide:

documents from at least two authorized sources as listed in the Candidate List of Authorized ID (EC 20014)
documents that pre-date the call of the election
one document from a third party (i.e. it may not originate from you, the prospective candidate)

See the Candidate List of Authorized ID (EC 20014).

Just marry an American, get your green card after a while and then apply for citizenship a few years after getting your green card.

Be warned, America is a bitch goddess that gives with one hand and takes with the other. Being able to carry one or several handguns on my person and drive around with a loaded AR-15 is nice though. I have open carried, I have concealed carried, that is the one thing about America that I like more than Canada. Canada still has better access to wilderness spaces though, at least the regions I lived in compared to the region I live in. I have to drive an hour and a half to use a range that isn’t indoors and shitty. Magazines are also cheaper.

However, i agknowledge that due to 22lr being rimmed, and having massive loading variance (from just 8/ftlbs energy(colibris), up to nearly 200ft/lbs energy(stingers)) that the ideal 22lr is not a semi, but rather probably a revolver or somthing.

Also out of curiosity does Army intelligence do your security screening or CSIS.
>>
>>62882713
Both, be it Military or civilian employers its run through a federal system that is used by RCMP, CSIS and if I remember right even Interpol. My last clearance I had to work at an airport and I won a decent amount of money on a lottery ticket, that came up in the clearance and I had to explain the sudden funds. Its pretty in depth however you would have to fuck up pretty bad for 4chan shit posting to show up.
>make threats etc etc
>>
>>62882724
Really because i have been denied a security clearance before.
>>
>>62882735
Ever get a reason why?
>>
>>62882740
Not really. I filed an AITIP request and got 67 pages of redacted information. I really shouldn't go into detail to not dox myself plus i'm sure CSIS wouldn't appreciate me discussing their activities online. Some pics of me and buddies on crown land that were posted to social media(not questionable patches or flags or anything and nothing illegal) and a former (very brief and not in depth) association with someone who did some no nos, somebody some people here might know.
>>
>>62882758
>association with someone who did some no nos,
ahhh yeah that would do it. Co worker of mine who is a standard Suburban white dude got his clearance denied because his brother was selling cocaine in fort mac.
>>
>>62882764
The thing is i didn't even know the person (never met them) and only did business with them online a couple times (nothing illegal). Wonder if a bit of time might heal that wound and if i could apply again in 3-4 years.
>>
>>62882771

>>
>>62882810

Sigmaco had thousands of customers, they wouldn’t just deny clearance from buying something from a shop that thousands of others bought from. I know CAF guys with sigmaco furniture. Hell I know an RCMP with sigmaco furniture on his t81.

Though, it is suspected of stealing a couple chimken eggs a couple days ago, so we put electric fencing back up around their pens.
I do know though that killing will likley be the only long term solution, it took a dog barking every night to keep the wildlife at bay, aand just a few days after her absence the wildlife is moving back in; similarily, when i scare something away with gunfire, it often returns a couple nights later.

same reason why you have both extreme far right and extreme far left wing schizos together working at the highest security clearance levels-- when you have truly unironic Evolian racial monarchists and truly unironic Khmer Rouge communists they both know they'll never weasel their way into power in the modern era, so they perform their duties perfectly fine and without any ideological meddling in the same way that a comparatively moderate White Nationalist or Marxist-Leninist would try to, with the added benefit that the former two HATE the latter two for spoiling the movement with their weak-wristed views

>>
>>62885575
We have labour legislation that protects workers, it doesn't require a union. If companies want to remain competitive and attract good talent they compensate well. Shitty couriers would pay less and thus employ less reliable people who would fail to deliver or steal packages and thus companies would stop using them. They would kill themselves.

Canada Post has a monopoly on shit in a way they shouldn't. They're no more reliable than any private courier, arguably less so. I get my regular orders 10x faster from a private courier than Canada Post. You're subject to their stupid banking hours when you have to get a gun from the post office too, stand in line for 15 fucking minutes while some old codger picks out stamps, show your ID to some wagie idiot, etc.

No reason a courier service can't do all of that better and faster.

>>
>>62885607
Labor laws are far too static to keep up with changing circumstances, so unions are more dynamic in that regard. Even private couriers can have unions. Nothing you lambast about Canada Post is unique to them either, you'll still have to deal with business hours and dumb wagies with courier services too, that's what you get when people are paid peanuts. No, employers won't pay top dollar for top notch employees, they'll just fire them and choose a TFW who'll work for pennies for the same (shitty) performance
>>
>>62885620
Public sector unions accomplished none of that and just serve to soak taxpayers, meaning that those taxpayers have less money for

People like you are half the reason this country is racing towards the bottom. You see people standing up for themselves and demanding better, from the faggot fucking government of all entities, and you whine and get your dick hard at the thought of cheap third worlders replacing them. Unions are based and anyone who disagrees is a cuckold. You'll cheer Trudeau on when he imposes back to work legislation because you have no values and no soul. You won't be happy until everything that was once good is run into the ground so you can have your toys and your slop one day earlier and one dollar cheaper.
>>62885605
You're retarded. The union doesn't represent the government, it represents the workers. You'd have a point about if this was, say, teachers unions making a stink to score political points, but this is literally just workers demanding better pay and working conditions. This is what organized labour exists for and it is good. And to the faggots who say private carriers are better, good luck convincing a private company whose only priority is profit to service the rural communities you pretend you want to live in.

I'll say it again. If you oppose unions, you are a cuckold and a faggot. You are begging the government and private companies to bend your wife over, fuck her stupid, and then do the same to you afterwards because you are a gay cuckold. I'm sorry that you work a shitty job where everyone's too spineless to unionize, but these are the facts.

The posties at the CanPost office in my town of <800 people are lovely women who joke with me about all the guns and ammo I buy. They provide a service to me and my community and though I am inconvenienced by the strike, I am happy for them and hope they win. This is because I am white and have a soul.
>>
>>62885736
You're the reason they're overpaid and have a gluttonous union to begin with. You are the reason our fucking MPs have massive million dollar pensions and get to take months off every year instead of doing actual work. You are the reason my taxes keep going up to support a topheavy bureaucracy of increasingly lazy CIVIL SERVANTS who are indignant and fucking RUDE when I go in for something as simple as a vehicle ownership change.

If private sector employees want to unionize and strike they do so at their own peril; the market will dictate if their business survives the stoppage. Government employees should not be permitted to do this, because they can't be fired or go out of business.

Socialist faggots get the rope. Deliver my guns and stop bitching about it.

I dunno for you but my post office hours are good, 9AM-9PM and I get decent desk service in my experience. Can't comment on delivery times since I always buy the cheapest rate but I consider them slow but steady. If you get the same slow delivery despite paying for express then that's weird. I have mailed items out though and was surprised at the speed it arrived. I sent a gun from ON to BC in about a week.

Still, I can't tell you how many times private couriers like UPS or FedEx fucked me over. UPS can burn in hell, they sent a package of mine from the US back to sender without permission, but not before it circled the Canadian border 4 times in a merry-go-round. I ended up paying extra for USPS priority and Canada Post just charged me $5 or $10 for fees. FUCK UPS REEEEE
>>
>>62885841
I've used Express and even Registered with Canada Post, their delivery times are always off and never as quick as they claim.

UPS sucks shit, I won't disagree. But CanPar, DHL, FedEx, and even Purolator (part owned by CP) deliver better service for marginally more in cost. Lots of smaller couriers too that just exist in certain locales that are amazing, one near me is lightning fast and delivers until 11pm at night, 7 days a week. Wagie posties can't even compete with that.
>>
>>62885736
>The union doesn't represent the government, it represents the workers.
The workers all want higher wages (understandably, as all workers always do). Their employer generally has some limited amount of resources, and therefore does not want to pay higher wages, so it makes sense for labour to organize.
The exception is when the employer has unlimited resources because they can just offload the cost to a third party (the taxpayer), so now the employer and employee are both incentivized to just raise taxes (as the government always wants to do) so they can raise wages.
>You'd have a point about if this was, say, teachers unions making a stink to score political points, but this is literally just workers demanding better pay and working conditions.
The teachers' union is the exact same thing.
>This is what organized labour exists for and it is good.
When labour and employers have actual competing interests, definitely. Not the case in the public sector though.
>And to the faggots who say private carriers are better
They usually aren't but their employees would be justified in forming a union, unlike public employees.
>>
CadPost Express shipping costs like $100 if you don't own a business
*image of pepe frog tearing his eyes out*
>>
Just use the flat rate boxes. I use them for everything. You get expedited for only a couple bucks more and $100 insurance for free.
>>
>>62885862
Private sector employees demanding higher wages can only do so through restructuring of finances or charging more for their service/product.

When government employees want more money the government just raises my taxes to account for it, or takes away another government service that now ends up under-funded.
>>
And thats for a small, light package, somthing a bit larger and heavier could be in excess of $300

Also true, my business is a side gig and I have a company card for my day job. Setup is not as cash as yours, just for travel (maybe 5% of my work, and specifically can't expense alcohol) but still feels cool.
Writeoffs for the business means Ottawa gets no money to import jeets or steal anybody's guns so that's another feelgood aspect.

If the mining company is backstopped with tax money and the miner's raises come from tax revenue, like Canada Post and posties, then yeah I guess it would, but that isn't how it works and your analogy is retarded
>>
>>62885918

>>

>CanPost wages either now or if the union succeeds are absolutely reasonable, low if anything.
Not really the point but OK
>The idea that labour costs should always be driven as low as possible is degenerative to society, whatever tiny cost savings are passed onto consumers are dwarfed by the increased corporate profits.
Agreed about driving wages down but Canada Post doesn't turn a profit so that doesn't apply here
>The dynamic is the same for the public sector but instead of shareholders, it's executives looking for a performance bonus and ministers looking for austerity good boy points.
The dynamic is not the same at all, >>62885871 is correct
>the government will always tax you as much as it can get away with
"We need to pay our employees more" lets them get away with more
>In any case I'd rather my tax money go to paying the wages of posties than to the million other useless things the government will toss billions at anyway.
Sure but not relevant.
I'm not saying posties should make minimum wage or even that they suck. Government employees (Crown Corps included) just shouldn't be allowed to unionize, whereas the private sector should.

Fears about the dangers of taking peoples guns is why they no longer ship ammo, theyre trying to dry you out. Its also why theyre demanding higher wages; hazard pay, because they know taking the guns is going to be dangerous.
The end goal ofc just being less work, because they wont have to ship guns or ammo anymore after the mission is complete.

You aren't even making an argument. You literally just do not understand basic dynamics. The fact that posties are paid by the government is irrelevant, the workers are organized for their own interest against the wishes of their employer. If that wasn't true then the union and this strike wouldn't exist in the first place. Nor would back to work legislation be the default response of every provincial and federal government.

Virtually every CanPostie I've ever interacted with has been pleasant and their services on average have been as good or better than private carriers. Sounds like they just don't like you anon.

The core dynamic is employees vs. employer. The employer wants to minimize costs including at the expense of employees, this is as true of CanPost as it is of any private company. Whether the employer is private or public does not change the dynamic. Hence why there is a strike to begin with; if your theory was correct then management would have already just caved, because they can just offload the costs to the taxpayer. This has not occurred, because the dynamic is the same, except perhaps with upper management performance targets and political will taking the place of shareholder profit. This narrative against public sector unions for actual public services is not based in fact, it is incoherent. And if Canada Post was abolished tomorrow, your taxes would not change at all and the national debt would continue to balloon. You are tricking yourself if you think otherwise.

I like CanPost because they ship my guns. I want them to win because I like the people who ship my guns. The only reason they don't ship ammo is because of regulations made by political faggots.

No, that was all part of the posties plan.
It's mostly frail ladies working the post offices now, they are sick and tired of big heavy packages.
You guys ordering multiple crates are 7.62x39 are partly to blame.
They don't really have anything against guns tho, other than how big and awkward the boxes are, and ofc that being the ultimate endgoal, the final solution to the big heavy awkward package problem, guns and ammo really are just minor steeping stones in the posties ultimate plan.

>The core dynamic is employees vs. employer.
Yes, but it is not the same dynamic when the employer has access to public revenue. It fundamentally changes every single aspect of the relationship.
>The employer wants to minimize costs, this is as true of CanPost as it is of any private company.
They have some incentive to reduce cost, but it isn't the same incentive that exists in the private sector, where they can't access external resources to make up the difference.
>Whether the employer is private or public does not change the dynamic.
It does, because a public employer has access to resources that a private one does not.
>if your theory was correct then management would have already just caved
They *can* just offload the costs to the taxpayer. It doesn't mean they'll just give public employees whatever they ask for but they are not as motivated to reach a realistic solution where the company can still operate in a way that makes sense, because they can just make up any shortfall.
>This has not occurred, because the dynamic is the same, except
"The dynamic is the same except for these fundamental differences that totally change it"
>This narrative against public sector unions for actual public services is not based in fact, it is incoherent.
No, you are just denying that an employer who can offload its costs onto someone else would ever do such a thing.
Private companies do it all the time by passing costs on to the consumer - except the consumer can choose not to pay for the good or service in question, which they can't do when the employer just takes public money up front to cover it
>if Canada Post was abolished tomorrow, your taxes would not change at all
Losing $200M a year isn't great but that isn't relevant anyway.
Also they don't ship ammo so they're gay.
