Notice how she doesn’t adjust her support hand? She’s making the support hand do the thing
>>
Bros, I like the gen6 glocks but I can't stand the beveled muzzle. It serves no purpose other than to make an otherwise cool pistol look gay, like the gen 5s.
>but it's supposed to help with holstering
1. I cannot think of a scenario where it's important to holster as fast as humanly possible
2. git gud
>>
>>64624912
IMO gen 4 was peak, but of course, I didn't shoot either 6 or V yet, or 1 for that matter.
>>
>>64624922
Gen 4 slide with Gen 6 frame would be ideal for me. Aside from the gay beveled muzzle, the slide also looks pretty crowded with all the forward serrations
>>
>>64624922
I think gen 5 model 47 was peak and gen 6 is just iterating on that. The gen4s weren't exactly peak reliability. that was gen 3. and they didn't upgrade much other than give you the dual recoil spring and backstraps and slightly better texture. The Gen 5 has a much better barrel and trigger as well. We shall see but I think gen 6 is going to be another big hit. Also I was glad they got rid of the stupid fucking finger grooves finally, it made no sense and didn't help with grip at all.

I've shot 2-5 and in my opinion;

I noticed how her purchase is too low and she struggles to control the pistol. In any case, I'll be trying Stoeger's grip next range trip
>>
>>64624958
She struggles to hold the pistol since her arms aren’t doing anything and women have much less arm strength. Look at her elbows, no support at all.
>>
>>64624941
The gen 6 model 17 really just seems like a gen 5 model 47 with the gen 6 updates. Why didn't they just call it the 47 gen 6?
>>
>>64624891
>>64624958

it would be sacrilege not to have a model 17 number on release, they probably figured would be cheaper to just use the same recoil springs and setups for everything instead of having the 45, 49, 19 use one and then have the 17 have a different one. Probably why they also went back to the single recoil spring assembly (which I think is a mistake).
>>
>>64624900
bro shes shooting at like 5 yards, you could grip it however you want and make those hits with a 9mm, thumbs forward high tang grip at all times, straight to target

226 elite with the SRT and the E2 grips is such an insanely good gun.
4300 rounds through mine and its only had 3 failure, 1 to extract which was likely due to carbon buildup under the extractor claw and 2 light primer strikes.
It was one of the first guns I got and I did not realize how good it was until I tried many other guns on the market.
p226 elite with the SRT and E2 grips is genuinely a performance gun, its so good but you have to train around the DA shot.
Recoil is non fluid and yoinks the gun back then forward on the return but the gun is pinpoint accurate with focused shots.

The only Gen 6 Glock that has my interest is the 45.

>>
>>64626464
What even is the point of the G45 unless you just have giant gorilla hands? I wear medium size gloves and the G19 fits my hands fine.

>>64626457
Last time I went to the indoor range a boomer was shooting a Garand a few lanes over. Power to him, but holy shit it was loud. Got to shoot my buddy's CZ Parrot again, though, so that was a treat. The gun basically shoots itself so if your groups suck you can immediately tell what you're doing wrong. It made it apparent to me that I still have a recoil anticipation issue so I need to focus on that with dry fire.

Are there any rumors about the P365 firing uncommanded akin to the 320? I was at a shop the other day putting my XL up for sale, and the guy started talking about a customer who shot himself in the ass with his while it was in the holster.
I can't tell of this is something I'm in the dark about, or of the guy was just making shit up to try and bring my asking price down.

No, the guy likely just saw "Sig Sauer" and started rambling. You have to understand that most gun shop employees are 80 IQ retail monkeys, mentally indistinguishable from the brown women who work the returns counter at TJ Maxx.
>>
>>64626846
and those gun shop people have a good 10 iq points over the people who get issued a P320 for work
>>
>>64626792
It’s more like guns with very light trigger pulls without extra safeties are bad ideas. People shoot themselves with Glocks all the time and a P365 has a lighter trigger than a Glock and no dongle safety

I honestly think grip tape is tacky but it’s not like I give a fuck about looks, what brand do you use? I actually keep hold just fine, I do have the flared magwell attachment purely because my pinky rolls over the bottom of the grip of the 43X when I’m shooting, it helps a lot with that but other than that I don’t have an issue. What I really need is a new trigger boot because the stock boot is ass, it tears my finger up after a bit, I’d prefer to keep the inside stock other than that.

Aside from the safety, which I had to do some light filing to fit, everything else was a drop in replacement which is super nice. Really happy with their 8 round magazines too.

The only downside of really falling in love with this 1911 is that I feel like a boomer.

I stopped by a gun store on my commute home the other day and finger fucked a half dozen revolvers. Not really impressed with the executive Taurus. Twice the price for a broke in trigger. I realized the LCR is the more practical choice and it's not bad, I don't hate it. They only had it in 9mm. I was tempted to go back and buy it the next day since the ammo is cheap, but I watched the Paul Harrell (rip) video about it and got it out of my system. Really I don't need anymore guns and have better shit to spend money on (like range time and ammo to actually use the guns I have!)
>>

>>
>>64628528
The LCR is a great gun imo, but only in a rimmed cartridge. If you want a 9mm revolver, you should just get a Charter Arms Pittbull to avoid issues with the moon clips and break in the trigger yourself. I almost bought a Charter Arms Double Dog, but I found out that every time you change the cylinder, you had to swap out a little gasket and they only include 8 with the gun. I would probably run out in a week just fucking around with it practicing reloads while at my desk like I tend to do. They will apparently send you more if you call and request them, but I don't know how much they will charge for it.

what about a 92A1?
>>
>>64629227
The 92A1 is the evolution of the 90-Two which introduces a new takedown method and a soft aluminum recoil buffer in the frame. It’s an evolutionary dead end due to DA/SA falling out of favor with law enforcement. Beretta USA continued developing the 92 Vertec into the 92X and 92X RDO instead of continuing the 92A1. Feature wise the 92A1 has a front dovetail iron sight over the fixed front the M9A1 has (it has a 92FS slide). But you can just get a LTT 92 Elite instead for 700-750 bucks, it doesn’t have the LTT trigger job but it has all the other upgrades like a M9A3 slide on a M9A1 slide with a front fiber optic front and blacked out rear, very nice sights and perhaps the best ever from the factory.

It kind of ticks me off Beretter didn't put the A1/Two takedown lever in all their guns. Like why not have auto-lock as a standard feature?
>>
>>64629261
I’m talking out of my ass but I think it’s because Beretta USA never made the 92A1 and didn’t have the tooling so they continued the 92 Vertec which they did make. The M9A3 was also a proposed upgrade to the M9A1 to the military and they probably wanted to keep the production lines simple.

I forgot to ad the 92A1 has a captive recoil spring too
>>
>>64625213
Gee Bill
>>
>>64629269
afaik it's JUST the radius on the pin that does it. I just tried my 90-Two takedown pin in my M9A3 and the auto-lock works with the A3 recoil spring, but the lock pin is positioned differently in the Two frame so I had to take that out of the A3 frame

I get not doing it for the A3 because muh military institutional momentum but they could certainly put it on every other 92 variant with no other changes. Just cut that radius on the takedown pin and make that the new standard pin, like they did with the gen 3 locking block
>>
Is 38 super fun/cool?
>>
>>64629339
If you reload, then yes. You can load it to almost gun exploding pressures and make "major" powerfactor for competitive shooting despite not being a heavy caliber like .40/10mm/45.

If not, then it's very expensive 9mm. You can buy hot loaded 9mm for less than what factory .38 Super costs.

The honest truth of ".38 Super" 1911s is that almost no one buys them anymore and people just keep selling them out of tradition, or in reality they just keep listing them. The major custom 1911 companies barely sell any and if they do it's paired with a 9mm barrel which likely will live in the gun. There is a very small but very vocal minority that will praise .38 Super as the end all be all.

I have ruined a ton of clothes, leather seats and steering wheels just carrying a regular pistol. I specifically started carrying IWB to mitigate that, but it is uncomfortable while driving. >>

Not that anon, but I was checking out a Charter Arms revolver not too long ago. I have fondled two in person so far. My take away was that it was better than a Taurus and on par with current S&W/Ruger, but may have more fine machining issues, burs and such. The more recent one that I looked at had a little tiny bur on the cylinder star where the hand rotates the cylinder so for one chamber, the trigger pull was significantly harder than the others at the very end of trigger travel. Easy fix with some sandpaper, a stone, or a really tiny and fine file. Aside from that, the lockup was super tight, no movement at all and timing was well within acceptable tolerance. Every single one of my J frames, Taurus, and Ruger small frames were looser and sloppier than either of the Charter Arm revolvers that I have looked at. I don't own one, so I don't know if they shoot loose or anything, but I was rather impressed by the ones I saw, especially for the price. I am planning of getting a 9mm Pittbull once I recover from Black Friday Christmas shopping sprees.

For a little context, it was made to be a better. 38 acp (which is different from .380 acp) for Colt pistols, which was already an established cartridge, although it isn't backwardscompatible, despite chambering in .38 acp guns. No
>WARNING retract slide to see if loaded
>Gun will fire with magazine removed.
>Read owners manual before using
.45 acp was still pretty new and mostly just used by the military, though it was commercially available. Think 277 Fury/6.8×51mm.
WW2 definitely cemented .45 acp as THE caliber for large Colt semiautomatic pistols.
.38 Super was also popular in countries where it is illegal to own firearms chamber for cartridge in military or police service. Mexico is probably the best example of this.
Like has already been said, the main reason it is still around is because it is popular with competitive shooters and if I have learned anything from this thread it is that people take that sort of thing INCREDIBLY seriously.

A good trigger job makes a HUGE difference. I do trigger jobs on all my revolvers, except for my LCR. Too many youtubers make it seem like putting in a reduced hammer spring is all you need to do, but I personally don't touch the factory hammer spring, other than stoning the strut it goes on. Just putting in weaker springs fucks with your reliability and that's about 3/4 of the reason people that carry revolvers carry them. If you smooth out a revolver trigger well (and maybe slightly reduce the trigger return spring power) it becomes so consistent that staging becomes second nature and you start hollowing out the bullseye on paper targets.

staging is a cringe strat for standing 1-shot-per-secord slow-firers
>>
>>64630120
For defense staging feels like a way to shoot when you don't mean to. If under normal circumstances you can stage and hold, under stress you're going to just fire. If you mean to actually shoot, not staging would be faster. If you mean to slow fire for accuracy, pulling the hammer back would be better.

That's a reason nobody shoots compact guns in competition. Full size is always better. I would say too that a longer slide is better, but not as much as a longer grip. The 45 slide is much more comfortable for short torso body types.

So basically the best of both worlds. I initially thought it was stupid as I preferred a g17 slide length, but after carrying a g19 and g17, the g19 slide is as long as I want to go.

It's the 8 shot 357 redhawk. I love it, but I wish they made g10 grips. These are too smooth and the rubber ones they make are too big.
I got the gp100 for my wife. She really liked the wooden grip when she held one at a gun show but it was in 10mm. We found one used on arms list in 357a while later. The guy bought it for carry but decided it was too big. He gave us his speed loaders and their belt holders with it, a great deal. He didn't need them anymore.

When you are ready to shoot, you aim, quickly stage, pause for a brief moment to confirm sight alignment, and then finish pulling. You dont stage, aim, then fire. You are basically just delaying the firing for a moment. When you are good at it, it happens damn near as fast as just pulling the trigger all the way through.
>>
>>64630185
A lot of it is because if you want a 6 shot revolver, they think that you probably want it in 357 mag. The only ones that make small 6 round 38 that I know of are Taurus and Charter Arms. I personally really want an aluminum frame K or L frame smith. Not Scandium as I want to to not cost over 1000 dollars. Think like the mass produced 642 only with the model 10 instead of the model 36 to make a nice carryable mid size revolver. I don't need 357 mag, I don't need performance center trigger, I don't even need adjustable sights, I just need something bigger than a J frame that I can carry easily.
I also think a Ruger LCR scaled up to the size of the Ruger Six series would be amazing too.

I've looked at it, but as an owner of a security 9 and lcp2, I can both recommend it based on the similar platform but at the same time suggest that maybe you might spend a little more on something higher quality.
I get that this is a striker gun and those are hammer, but a canik mc9 might have a better trigger and allegedly the HK cc9 is better, but they are charging a lot for it.
What I do like about my security 9 is that I didn't feel too bad about falling in a river while carrying it. No it didn't rust.
I'm saying that it's as cheap as I would go but consider something better if you can.

>You're trying to arsenal post for clout
clout? I'm anonymous, I don't give a fuck. if I wanted clout I'd go post on reddit for fake attention from people just trying to be the most popular poster making some snarky Marvel movie comment

If you did not care for clout, why would you arsenal post? Arsenal posting is for clout by default

>You are anonymous
First of all, no youre not because Agent Gomez has your IP and device fingerprint. Second of all, the idea of anons being anonymous makes ktards seethe like nothing else. That is why they yell post gunz, for instance. Ktards are not ok with anonymous discussion. Even itt they are calling for pol style ids. Ktards hate anonymity and they dont think it applies to this glowie shithole. Anyway, the only ones interested in your arsenal are Agent Gomez and a few incel retards.

The only way you would know that is if you were Agent Hernandez. Are you Agent Hernandez?

surely the feds have better things to do

Agent Gomez tried to deport me, but i stole his gun, his badge, his organs, and his cat. The cat was delicious

>surely the feds have better things to do
Lmao that's where you're wrong. Feds see a gun safe full of ammo, and then they'll immediately release 1,000 hours of overtime pay in order to convince anon to put those bullets inside innocent students.

It’s pretty much exactly like my PCR, just with a rail and a spot to mount an optic. My PCR points and shoots better, but that is only because it has the palm swell grips and a CGW ultra lite kit. Once I get some lok grips and the spring kit for the S2C it should be perfect.

Some people report FTF in the first hundred or so rounds. I cleaned and lubed the slide rails, and hand cycles it about 50 times, and never had a FTF. I was skeptical of the benefits of going to a dot from irons, but the ability to only worry about target focus has sped up my shooting considerably.

If you want a light and a dot, and enjoy the PCR then go for it

Beretta not being able to be carried cocked and locked is far more gay. May as well just carry a Sig.

It means you are making anon seethe by speaking to people outside anon's approved poster list. You better stop, or anon will continue seething.

Mods have to be careful laughing. When you weigh 600 lbs, you could die of heart failure if you laugh. And if heart failure doesn't get you, you could still choke on your cheetos. At that point, an entire squad of EMT's wouldnt be able to get you out the door. And even if they broke down your wall and got you out with some forklift, I'm afraid they don't make big enough ambulances for 4chan mods. So you see, mod can laugh all xe wants for all I care.

“The later” is literally how English refers to the second of two listed objects, retard.
