If I had been born in a different country, then I would've been far happier than I am now. I was put on a gender clinic waiting list in England when I was around 13, I'm 18 now and I've not heard anything from them. I only found out about DIY when I was 17, and I started it immediately. I've only been on it for around four months. It has made things slightly better for me, I still don't pass, but I can't stop thinking about what I was denied for years and how much time I wasted; even though it was out of my control. I feel like it's too late for me and that I'll never pass. I want to get to a point where I pass and where I'm happy with myself, I'm incredibly miserable. My family thinks that my dysphoria was something I grew out of and no one has any idea about my gender or me being on HRT. If I were allowed HRT at 13, then I wouldn't have to be in the closet right now. I could've been happy. I could've already been living as my true self. I hope that one day this will all be a distant memory and that I'll be living as myself.
