Yuri blanket knitting blog 4: Rows 61-80Happy Holidays /lesgen/! Okay so it's been a while since I made an update but I have a good reason for it. At the beginning of November I started making a present for a friend whose birthday is at the start of December (another knitted pillow with their favorite character on it) and I though I could get it done relatively fast but it ended up taking >1 month which also means I missed their birthday by a few days. Obviously I wasn't able to work on the yuri blanket while I was making their pillow but after finishing the pillow gift I was able to also get the next 20 blanket rows done so I can make the update but kind of forgot about it for a little bit :) Anyway, I'm visiting my parents for Xmas and new year's and normally I wouldn't be able to work on the blanket until after I go back home but since my laptop is on it's last legs and could die any moment, I didn't want to get stuck just staring at a wall for a few weeks so I decided to use the large luggage when I came to visit and brought all the yarn for the blanket with me. So now instead of being forced to take a break from making the yuri blanket, I should actually be able to work on it even more than usual due to boredom (there aren't many games that this laptop can handle).As for the blanket itself, despite how loose some of the stitches feel due to the large gaps between the colors, the actual image looks fairly nice! I could simply cut the yarn when I get to the really long gaps so that I don't waste so much yarn on the floaters in the back but having to tie multiple knots every row, sometimes even for just a single stitch sounds kinda annoying so I think I'll just keep doing the floater technique where I leave ~0.5 centimeters of yarn for every stitch that I jump over (so a gap of 100 stitches means leaving a 50 centimeter floater in the back).
