Is the "Gen Alpha can't read" meme real? Like are 2025 9th graders actually showing up to high school not knowing how to write paragraphs?

Or only the brown ones?

They should just sort it based on people who want to go to university or some kind of polytechnic. Maybe also military schools for a smaller third category. Sorting based on IQ is dumb. Not every 150 IQ genius wants to be a mathematician.
>>
>>24785925
Nah it's fine, the issue is how we test and score.
"X grade reading level" is a meme and means very little. Tests cannot capture literacy properly because that's not how language works, so all literacy evaluations are shit. They test vocabulary and surface level analysis while skipping the important parts that are much harder to score

I know firsthand that since at least the 90s the shorthand for "general public copy" is 5th grade reading level or lower. It's not better or worse now, it's just different as the ways we communicate are much different, and we test more and publish tests more often.

People have always blamed it on something or other, famously the Beetles of all people were blamed for poor literacy rates back in the 60s because they couldn't read or write proper music notation which grandmas feared would slippery slope to their teenage fans giving up on books

Nice lies. When controlled for race America has the best education in the world for all races.

Every White, Asian, and Black that comes to the USA has a higher IQ than their home average, including European countries.

Looks like dragons to me. I think they're just there as a stylistic choice on Howe's part, to symbolize that the Door of Night is also the entrance to the Void. So like, creepy dragons hang around it.

I am going to have sex with this Female Balrog from LotR. I find the female Balrogs in The Lord of the Rings sexy. However, their body is made up of 87% fire, and 100% fire surrounds them. That could kill me if I tried to have sex with one. To remedy this, the female Balrog casts a spell on me making me resistant to fire. Keep in mind, resistant is not the same as immune. I still take damage. It is either 1 point or 0 points of damage each second I am having sex with her. Just because a particular second caused 0 points of damage, does not mean that I did not feel anything, it just means I took no damage. I am not going to rush through having sex with this female Balrog. I make sure I pleasure anything I have sex with—especially non-humans! I’d rather take damage than not pleasure the female Balrog
The Balrog and I go to Angband to have sex. When having sex with non-humans, it is ALWAYS sexier to have sex in their natural habitat rather than a human’s natural habitat. The depths of Angband are Balrog's natural habitat.
Before we went into Angband, Balrog let the orcs know that we are just here for sex. The orcs will not attack us because they know that I am here at Angband on sexual business. This includes other balrogs. However, Gorthaur thinks that I am going to be an easy recruit for becoming a follower of Melkor considering that I am having sex with Balrog. However, I have no interest in becoming a follower of Melkor.

How do I become a minotaur
>>
>>24784008
Sexuality is all mental to women. It's why the situation has to be "perfect" otherwise they're not interested. Smut creates these ridiculous "perfect" fantasy scenarios for women which only increases their standards in the real world. With men it is a strong physical urge, we have to do it and we'll accept less than favourable conditions to sate ourselves. It's like eating for us, while for women it's like wine.

>Advice for you anon. Never get on the internet again. Move to a smaller town, dress like Boromir, spend 7 hours a day chopping wood, join the fire department and adopt some stray animals.
that's not a bad life plan. Except Faromir was the snappier dresser.

Men and Women differ on sexual arousal.

Men are sensitive to visual stimuli, masturbating is easy, fast, fun, and associated as a quick response to boredom. Thus visual porn is mostly consumed by males, average visit under 10mins. Hipersexuality had no evolutionary costs on males (there was no problem with a male impregnating thousands of woman if he could) thus he evolved to be easily aroused so as not to let pass any fleeting opportunity to impregnate.

Woman evolved to find sex with strangers threatening, because they could get pregnant and die if they mate with the wrong man (can't provide food for herself and babies or survive pregnant alone in a hostile world). But also, sex is necessary for the survival of the species, so they are sensitive to sexual stimuli, but not just visual.

Woman's sexual stimuli include: The male must be physically strong, socially powerful or at least well adjusted (not a loner), dominant (leader of men), capable of providing (eg: rich), also attractive to other woman (consensus required), and love HER above all else (won't ditch her when she gets pregnant).

This is unnecessary in the modern world, but the biological system evolved for a primitive world. Thus, woman's sexuality is much more social than men's. Reading manages to turn them on much more than porn, because it provides the necessary context for them to feel aroused better than a video: There is a generic virginia youthful female characters (reader can interject in story), The minotaur is strong, dominant, powerful, well-off (yes really), but also needs her, is respectful and loyal to her, triggers all the right cues to turn them on. The fact that its a bestseller and woman talk about it on tiktok and such signals other women love the minotaur too, so it triggers the consensus effect too.

Once they're aroused, the minotaur has a massive cock for them to let loose and get off to wild fantasies. The websites with one of the lowest bound rates are erotica sites, second only to online casinos (people who literally have an addiction) so you can imagine erotica works VERY well for the female brain.

Its the same pattern in every erotic book. In fact, many writers from different genres start off by writing erotica for women because its very easy way to make a living and to learn the structure of writing for a specific genre.

>>24787942
disagree. the situation does not need to be "perfect" or even ideal, the woman just has to feel safe enough with you to be comfortable enough to get off which, clearly, you have no experience with chud.

>but he overdosed twice. what kind of doctor prescribes a dose that a grown man overdoses on? and then after he gets out of the hospital still prescribes that same dose? no one ever overdoses on a pescribed dose
Drug overdoses can occur on doses that should be within an addicts level of tolerance for some unknown reason
>Heroin overdose deaths in the Unites States more than tripled from 2010 to 2014, reaching almost 11,000 per year. Despite the use of the term “overdose,” many of these victims died after self-administering an amount of opiate that would not be expected to be fatal for these drug-experienced, and drug-tolerant, individuals.

I always liked Peterson but when the outrage against him was rising to a fever pitch I stopped really engaging in his work. 12 Rules for Life is arguably one of the best of the self-help genre and cuts most of its copycats to the core, even if it's not the best book you'll ever read. It's a shame the overly intensive and serious nature of his personality threw flame on the fire of everything surrounding him, and despite the enormity of the topics he tried to bring up and how hopeless many of them are, I must admit, there's a nobility in being less overbearing with your feelings and dramatic about everything. His slut plastic daughter, his constant health narratives (most of which seem completely theatrical and stupid), and Israel simping (I don't even care what goes on in that doomed patch of land) is frustrating.
I prefer to look at him as I did when he was ascendant.
It's also pretty rich how trannies mock him for not having a stable home life, suffering imagined health issues and not going along with their dogma. They see too much of themselves in him.

P&V and no other is close. I don't care what arguments anyone else has, their English sounds the less faggy or british, it sounds like a proper translation. That is all I care and I tried many translations. I ignore the critique that the pair of translators was marketed a lot, it's a non-issue.

Especially if they are not banal choices like 1984, Animal Farm, Brave New World, etc; so we could all discover some interesting books we might never have heard of.

I'll start:
1) Civilization and Capitalism: The Structure of Everyday Life: 15-th18th century - Fernarnd Braudel.

2) Epitaph of a Small Winner - Machado de Assis

3) The Luneburg Variation - Paolo Maurensig

4) Earth: An Intimate History - Richard Fortey

5) River of Darkness - Buddy Levy

Judge Holden is the physical manifestation of the god of war. Not necessarily evil, but brutal, vindictive, egotistical, cold and heartless all the same. He's strong, near-omnipotent and impassionate, but since he's the personification of an archetype he's not necessarily evil.
