Even watching your retarded movies meant to portray nigger ghettos as poor just demonstrates how rich even they are compared to most Europeans.Driving around the most ghetto places in the southern US all I saw was driveways with expensive cars and even fucking boats. We were amazed at the buffets that cost a fifth of an average cheap meal in Europe. I can not get a house for $100k anywhere, no matter how far into the woods I go.
>>24996718Maybe classically liberal, but it's not and shall never be marxist. There's a difference, between the neo shudra open borders globalist third worldisms, where we must mix oriental djinn brained parasites along with the anglo-"insert european here" population.
>>25009550Go on Xitter right now. Top-to-bottom the entire website is a U.S. government propaganda psyop to push for neocon regime change around the world with every MAGAtard rallying for it. Because that’s all the conservatives can amount to despite how much they attempt to rebrand as “populists” or “isolationists” or whatever else. Mass public opinion on politics does in fact matter and they’ve realized they can engineer it the best with social media. It has become abundantly clear that the system welcomed Trump and his conservative movement because mainstream liberalism was making people too docile, with October 7 really terrifying the ruling class in particular. Once they achieve all their geopolitical aims in solidifying the system using conservative manpower, it’ll be back to our regularly-scheduled programming as usual — demographic replacement, pornification, fertility decline, woke stupidity, etc. Conservatives as usual are too retarded to realize how they’re being used because all they want is to shoot foreign brown men and fuck their women

Exploitative gore porn with mediocre, sloppy style. Never trust anyone who loves this book. The Judge is too unrealistic to be scary and his philosophy is idiotic. No insight is this book. Just a surface of garish gore. This would be okay as a neutral aesthetic experience but the Indians become just material for the readers experience of the grandeur of violence. There is no sympathy involved.

>>25010317NTA, but I'd argue that the crew being on Theseus wasn't contrived. Their original objective decided to sudoku, and the cost of the ship had been so great (and they were already deep into their trip) there wouldn't really be a better idea.
>>25010317>>25010317He's headed to the source of the Theseus signal to find his son. I'm not trying to be a dick but did you read the book? Is your comprehension just lacking? I'm not even a smart dude and I didn't really have trouble understanding any of the characters motivations...Valerie was drawn to the monastery because her mind was picking up on the energy the hivemind was generating from there. She set the zombies to attack the compound to force the crown off planet so she could potentially take it over / escape to higher tech somewhere in space. It isn't exactly spelled out and to assume you need a total understanding of a 500 IQ vampires thought process is a little antithetical. Maybe just maybe the escaped super smart vampire decided owning a spaceship, learning what she could from bicamerals hivenetwork was preferable to hanging out in a forest waiting to be recaptured by the lab?Part of reading is filling in the blanks and things aren't exactly spelled out all the time. I think you have so many issues with the book because you might suffer from minor retardation.
>>25010391Was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but I think he's just dumb, read too fast, or just seriously lacks comprehension skills. >>25008051I feel the same way. It was assigned reading when I was in eighth grade and yeah, it’s relatable and has some enjoyable parts but overall it’s mediocre. Everyone goes through that “shove the rules, shove your ideology, I’m so over and above all this crap” phase of despondence & disaffection at some point as an adolescent / young adult so the tone of the novel resonates well with western youth. At the same time it has a lot of stone dead boring parts and doesn’t make any grand conclusions or observations, it just kinda trails off and ends. Not that it needs a happy (or even definitive) ending but to go from a 6 to a 9/10 it should have been more direct in asking more provocative questions about teenage angst & disillusionment.
>>25005252When catcher in the rye was assigned I was in a bloomer mindset and resented how doomer it was. Little did I know.
am i the only one with the opinion that the dominant plot line is occult, has some significant symbolic component? Where the things untold are silently screaming. Pardon my ETL language, but as a post soviet citizen, i've been taught in school that mephistophel is a cruel joker, that there's a secret plot line behind every plot line, with utmost scams hidden in the plain sight so this story must be some sort of riddle with uncanny outcome. But instead the discussion here derails to> home alone: christmas in NY> i am 13 i am le sad> gotta kill phonies etc etcLike if every other one after reading this mandatory lit became whiny little bitch with sand in vagina, and every third one felt strongly the world would be less phony place if John Lennon was positively removed.
>>25005252he's the perfect image of a jaded cynical teen. maybe this was new in the 50s? (nah) Now at least, its hard to say he was some outrageous guy. no direction and support and all that, which is part and parcel with modernity, only he was self-conscious enough to realize it, but unfortunately unfit to remedy it (which is what the writing's for.) he's in a tough spot, he's not doing the right things, etc. So its easy to say he's shameful, and sure he is, but he's not some fundamentally corrupted, terrible guy. he's got the sense enough to reflect, which is more than many have; those who don't and don't jell with society are very dangerous. he's pitiful more than anything, and he's got potential if he could just turn his animosity into something creative. he's really a good kid, everything aside.in short, he's literally me.

So, we've all had plenty of time to read it by now. I'm halfway in and pretty dissapointed desu.
>>25007987I finished it a few weeks ago and still don't know what to think about it. It felt like 3 books integrated into one with all the endings edited out. I more or less think I know what he wanted to say with this book. In his other books he put a huge emphasis on his nihilistic view on politics. In this book this seems really flat. The focus is more on family and relation with the loved ones. Instead of trying the fight the social and political decline, he tries to accept in through spending time with the people close to him. All the other "noises" are faded out. He said this is his last book so he will probably try to do that. I kinda like the idea of everything just becoming needless, but I hate it even more. The biggest "win" I get out of this book is that I can bring it up when a qt at the bookstore tells me Houellebecq is a misogynist. Wished it had a lot more of Houellebecqs philosophical rambling about random topics. Like the chapter in elementary particles about Huxley, the ending of serotonin, the talking with that Islamic guy in submission, his rambling about women or others. These are always entertaining.
Houellebecq is washed regardless of where you stand on his politics
>>25007987My impression was that this novel was supposed to be his version of Buddenbrooks by Thomas Mann. A somber, serious tale of slow decline, with Schopenhauerian undertones, and elements of a family novel. I vaguely remember that he said something to this effect, about having read Thomas Mann.
