Zaku was MS-06, and the Z Gundam is the same serial number but with an added Z (as in zerta, yes, but also Zeon and Zaku) plus an added zero. Also noteworthy, zeta is the sixth letter in the Greek alphabet. AND the corporation supplying the heroic space rebels is Anaheim, which used to be... Zeonic corporation.Mix all that together, and notice how even the Z Gundam's face isn't a the classic Gundam face of the RX-78 or the Mk-II, and it becomes clear that Z Gundam (the MS and also the show) really is "Zeon Gundam."

>>22937140The only G Gundam similarity is that each country has its own robot, but even then, each country's robot corresponds to a god. Japan had the Ares robot, Russia had the Hera robot, and so forth. Aside from that, there aren't really any "tournaments" per se as there are contained, scheduled duels, and most of it is just trying to preserve the status quo and appease the gods. Also, each robot was made by a different mechanical designer IRL -- picrel is the full list, so they got quite a bit of talent.
