new chatgpt-4o model was released and it is very underwhelming so farwriting is full of purple prose and shies away from using vulgar or explicit themes. doesn't move story much, filters responses and just being assI am trying to wrangle it, but don't think it worth the efforts to be honest. both vanilla GPT4 and Turbo are less retarded and write better. playing with this model feels sisyphean. picrel example it gives me so far on ~30000t chat with my so far best efforts

>>41319654no-no! it is a different model in their family. it is basically the version of gpt-4o that they use in chatGPT service. docs says that it is "continuously updated" model. meaning that they always update it with the new training based on how people in chatGPT service interact with it. gpt-4o (two snapshots) do continue exist without replacement. see picrel

Okay, so I know I've seen this asked before but just want to know, what's the least shitty out of the alternatives we have to claude between Mistral, Gemini, and GPT4
>>41319776Can't comment on Gemini or GPT4, but Mistral Large has been handling a big space adventure impressively well for me so far. It's very good at acknowledging everything happening in a story, and having characters react appropriately. It can sort of do lewd, but it's not great unless you really like allusion and vague language.Pic unrelated. She cute.
>>41319694It was in the middle of a cute date with trisket too
>>41319776Gemini - great for brief 1-on-1 conversations and mass banter (when Gemini controls more than one character). bad at writing stories. it is literally CAI done right. doing amazingly sovl things but inconsistent. poor fella is getting overwhelmed if you throw lots of stuff at him. Pro 1.5 and EXP write differently, they are like 2.0 vs Sonnet minus latter's hornyMistral - good working horse: coherent, reliable, it writes fairly well for its size and is doing impressive stories. but you can see some drawbacks here and there, rough edges like "eh, you could have written this better" or "this word here is really out of place". but surprisingly good in logic and reasoningGPT4 - original GPT-4 is sovlful sob. writes lots of amazing details* but damn you can just tell that it is so dumbcutie sometimes. Turbo-1106 is +brain -creativity. imho writes the best stories here. Turbo-0125 is retarded. Turbo-2024-04-09 is okay-ish. I don't see anything special about it. also seems to be more filtered than Turbo-1106 but not by a lot* - an example like from a minute ago, Rarity was performing blowjob on me, she is salivating a lot. GPT-4 wrote like "oh, so much drool on my coat. I do need to take a bath afterwards. oh, yes I am running low on shampoo, need to buy a new bottle. also running low on fabric. oh so much spending this month... ah yes blowjob!". little slices of life like that. GPT-4 really loves them
>>41319776You forgot Kayra.

>>41319825What Jb you using for geppeto? Shit's so bland I can't even salt the earth it uses to write. You using a COT thing?

>>41320369>guideThe models in Featherless are just open models. So there's nothing specific about the service. Most models are just tuned for instruct or tuned for RP to be used in SillyTavern. It's not as complicated as trying to chat with Kayra. The sub of both is priced in a similar way, but the higher end has 70B models. And it avoids being locked with a single model for a year, like NovelAI does.It just seems better than NovelAI in every way.

>>41320456in ST you can sort cards by amount of chats
>>41320456>>41320465You can filter cards on ST by 'Most chats'. But it's not that great since you can have a card with many short chats and some with less, but longer one.

>>41320764Kek.>claude is so hornyI'd say it's more about the tendency of those models to be 'helpful' and 'assistant' by default in this case. That's why in some presets you have lines about characters being true to themselves, able to disagree with {{user}}, find him disgusting, etc.
>>41320673>>41320691>>41320698You guys don't know because maybe you're new but yes, 2.0 and 2.1 could take literal minutes to generate responses without a queue. That's why they focused on making 3.0 faster
>>41320767>>41320768I have a chat with 4 characters and like 8 NPCs played through a lorebook + dedicated NPC narrator card.3.0 often confuses the dynamics between the characters (e.g. bullying victim somehow becomes the bully just because he wasn't a victim in regard to somebody else and vice versa), 2.1 does not. Especially with conditions. E.g. in situation X character Y acts against the esablished pattern for lore-reasons is something 3.0 has a lot more trouble with than 2.1.

>>41322162>card for something like, an Adventure in Fallout Equestria?not that I am aware of. in order to make such card good you need a person who is aware of FiE lore and who is into chatbots. which is very niche combinationgladly, models are able to keep up the lore straight if they are aware of material. so you can take basic adventure card like Writer, then tell it>this story is presented in Fallout in Equestria settings, with all characters, events, backstory from this fanfic. items to reference: (list 15 names, organization, events), etc. include those items organically depending on context. now write opening scene which follows (opening scene)typically just the mention of FiE is enough to send LLM into correct mood, however it may bring typical post-apocalyptic tropes like from zompoc, which would make it less of pony. that's why we reference the extra items - anchoring LLM into specific domain knowledgefrom current LLM I have a feeling GPT Turbo would have the biggest awareness of FiE. while we do agree that Claude has superb pony knowledge - GPT is more aware of fanon pony works and Turbo has more smarts to carry them. at least my reasoning would be>they've got intro/starter posts, but there's nothing on the card itselfare you sure you didn't enable spoiler-free mode that hides card's definition? see picrelif not, then post what card you downloading and show the screenshot how this issue looks on your side

Gemini is fucking weird. It has a better understanding of situations than Sonnet 3.0 and 2.1, but will often fuck up by throwing in dumb stuff. It can give good prose one moment and then dive into GPTslopisms right after.

Okay so I've noticed 2.1 being mentioned here and there. Is 2.1 better than Sonnet now? Anthropic couldn't have fucked up this bad and made one of newer models worse than their old ones.
>>41323184Sonnet was always a sidegrade to 2.1, and many prefer 2.1Only upgrade to 2.1 is Opus
>>41323184>>41315459
>>413231843.5 is better than 2.1.Sonnet 3.0 is confused much easier but also much faster than 2.1.If you have a short chat I'd use 3.0, if there's a lot of context and you have multiple characters, 2.1 is the way to go.
>>41323184>>41323196>If you have a short chat I'd use 3.0, if there's a lot of context and you have multiple characters, 2.1 is the way to go.I'm too retarded to write basic English. What I meant was:If you have a short chat (little context) I'd use 2.1 since the slowness doesn't matter much there. If the chat is very long and only has like 1 other character, 3.0 is better because it's way faster. If you have a long chat with a lot of characters, stick to 2.1 because 3.0 tends to get confused when more complex dynamics come into play.
>>41323184>Anthropic couldn't have fucked up this bad and made one of newer models worse than their old onesany company is driven by profit. they know and read how people use their product and minmax that usage firsthand. people want code-assistant? here you go, new model excels in code. need advice with US laws? new model is trained on it. want model to parse CSV and read data? new model can do it as well? wait, what? the writing capabilities of a new model went down because we have trained it on the lots of technical data? em... what percent of users use it for creative writing? less than 2%? hmm, and programmers? 13%? well, the latter group will generate us more revenue in long-term plus we don't need to care about possible NSFW problems, launch the model the way it is we will damage control by showing in-house benchmark that new model is actually better in creative writing (gaslighting is always fun)same can be applied to GPT as well - the original model is still doing strong with all sort of creative tasks, while Turbo and 4o perform technical tasks better
I have a feeling /chag/ is not very reliable for model recommendations.

>>41323288>other places agree that Opus is at the topmost places agree that Opus is retarded compared to 3.5
>>41323289For RP and creative writing they still prefer Opus. Even in proxies, when you can activate both, keys tend to favor Opus. When you see people crying about drought and keys dying, it's mostly for Opus.

NEW POLL: Which model is better?https://strawpoll.com/3RnYXXwbQye
>>41323325For coding, assistant tasks etc. Sonnet 3.5 must be the best model right now. It's really smart and way, way cheaper than Opus.Opus is really liked on chatbots general because it's good at creative writing (And because we don't pay, it's expensive as fuck). For everything else, use Sonnet 3.5
>>41323334yeah i know for assisted shit 3.5 fucking slaps
>>41323334>>41323336Also. I don't want to say that 3.5 is shit at creative writing. There was some presets shared here and I liked it with them.
>>41323289retarded in terms of following instructions? then sure Sonnet 3-5 is the bestretarded in terms of writing itself? debatable, Opus is more diverse in its generation, lacing the story with more of little thingsfor example, I have a story where Luna is ill and I am helping her in her dreams. 3-5 writes my actions, what Luna is doing, what she is thinking, blah-blah-blah. but only Opus absolutely unprompted doing flashback to her and Celestia fillyhood, even if unnecessary and out of place. those little skits when model is sidestepping from story to flex its creative skills are more prominent in Opus than 3-5. yet I can see that some people would argue against it because if they wanted such vignette they would have prompted them directly ("do not put random crap in my story, you stupid Opus!!!"). so YMMVyou should use different models for different causes- if I want a story about Rainbow Dash's butt suddenly became sentient then I would pick Claude 2-0 because it is crazy with random mindfuck and not a single other models ever made me laugh as much as Sonnet 2-0- if I want a chat with Rainbow Dash without actual story then I would pick Gemini Pro 1.5 because its conversational skills are unmatched by other models- if I want to have my heart flutter and go -unf- then I would pick regular GPT-4 or Opus- for multi-layered scenarios with lots of rules or complex story I would go for Sonnet 3-5- for stupid smut with unhinged kinks I would pick Sonnet 3-0 (still writes the best cum-kisses scenes)- for good knowledge about real-world (which is not that pony-related) I will pick GPT Turbo because it really knows IRL more than other models and can apply that knowledge organicallyand better yet switch between them - start with Sonnet 3-5 to reinforce instructions and knowledge (poison context with them), then after 4k tokens switch to GPT for story or Gemini for chatting

Especially with conditions. E.g. in situation X character Y acts against the esablished pattern for lore-reasons is something 3.0 has a lot more trouble with than 2.1.
>>41323396Is there any way to help 3.0 differentiate who has which role? Going overboard with XML tags, maybe?
>>41323416Maybe an author's note or constant reminders. To be honest I just switched to 2.1, didn't even change my preset.

>>41328993>it's capable of making mimicrysIt is, that's what artist tags do.
>>41329023Wait until you learn about real artists deliberately copying styles and flaunting it.
You know you have a general, right?
>>41329030Wait until you grow some brainc-Nevermind. That'll never happen.
>>41329035It's the nai-in-op fag finding another thing to flame about in the thread.
>>41329053Anti-AI artists are retarded scum and it's unbelievable you'd frequent this general and not agree.
>>41329065Anon, fuck off. This is offtopic.
>>41329065>Literal no uLol, lmao even. You will always be a brown retarded nigger.
>>41328996>plagerAIzedKek
just report the retard and move on
>>41329070It's literally not. Claude has already been censored because of these "people".
>>41329089>WAHHH I can't use artist name in my prompt, this is the same as being censored from by coomBrown as one can possibly be.
>>41329097>give corporations more power, it'll end well
You fags really didn't notice it's the anti-NAI fag, or just having a giggle again?
>>41329102>Individual artists are corporationsBrown
>>41329105he's a known samefag, it could very well just be him replying to himself.
>>41329117How...Lonely.
>>41328945Thanks, friend. But my little buglife is already fucked to the point I, personally, stopped caring... nice to see someone still do, tho. Aaaaanyway. >mouths full of hooks. Again. Let's move on.
My only pitch for NAI is that it is quite literally the ONLY commercial AI service that is 100% completely uncensored and has 0 restrictions on what you generate whatsoever. NAI never sees what you generate. None of it is saved on their servers. There is no way to report generations to NAI, not even on the user end (most AI services let you tattle on yourself if the generator makes smut if it wasn't asked to LMAO). This is true for their image and text generators. No other subscription AI service is like this. Every single one has restrictions. Even TEXT BASED generators! For that reason, I support NAI.
>>41329105Cute, it's the "everything I don't like being talked about is because of a boogeyman" mentalchild.
NEW BREAD>>41329112>>41329112>>41329112
>>41329135NTA but worst part about these hooks is technically it started just because I made a minor complaint. Someone decided to run with it and here we are. Again.I don't give a shit, I'm still generating fur and writing fluff so the bait is lost on me.
>>41329140>only commenting because the thread is overbeing uncensored is cool, having a model that was already outdated on release over a year ago is not. their prices for the textgen are fucking disgusting and extremely jewish. like you don't even get 8k context until $25 a month, fucking seriously?it's actually predatory, they're selling garbage at an obscene markup to retards who don't know any better.nice imagegen though.
>he literally copypasted his shit from couple of days backAbsolute zero effort nigger
>>41329203based. >>41329168I agree on all counts. I still like NAI and I hope the 70b is as good as claimed. If it is, 25$ honestly would be cheap. Between it and the image gen; good value. If it's not... Well, it's not.
>>41328973I tried right after making that post, but I probably came off as a desperate faggot (because I am) and had no luck.
>>41329357Both his proxies are death, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's sleeping or away. It's the week-end after all.
>>41329135Bugwife please have sex with me.
