thanks the pinkie pie therapist, ive been able to stabilize and narrow down my list of workable models, its impressive how much that char do both in term of environment shenanigan and character speech pattern, started with over 60 models, reduced to 12, then down to 8 ,and now down to 5, these are the best ones around if you run them locally, until something else comes out, i cannot recommend these enough- unslopped nemo (rocinante is the best for char speech pattern, if you have someone that speak in uwu or permanent rage, this is your model- violet twilight is the best overall for most things, jack of all trade, master of none- cydonia is if you want the char to make the first move, anything with a hint of potential horny WILL turn horny, char will volunteer themselves when anything can tease the ai, might also initiate questionable things, but a bit lacking on environment and descriptions-darkest planet is the oposite of cydonia, stick in the mud and need to be massaged hard before things turn horny, but god the world building and details will be top notch, will improv great stories and keep you engaged-nymeria, very fast and for a 16gb, its the first and only one that does not freak out and misattribute things or lose track of what was before or forget important details when recapping, jack of all trade, master of none, but smaller for those who want ethier faster or cant run a better one
Should I be worried about that guy from Permiso grabbing IPs from proxies? /g/ had a small shitfit over it last night.

How does one go about picking a favorite pony. I've been here for literal years, and never been able to figure it out. I love all ponies, except Cozy Glow. How do I hyperfocus on who is my favorite of favorites. Does it even exist? Is the real favorite the friends we made along the way? I usually default to AJ, since she's entertaining to talk to. But I feel like It's gotta be more than just that, right?
>>41623229Can't tell if this is bait, but nobody can tell you who your favorite is, dude. Favorites are subjective as hell. Just rewatch the show and make notes of who makes you smile the most, or something. I dunno.

>>41623903I'm glad I got in early before the gates closed permanently like that scene in world war z
>>41623903I think it's possible. Cycling keys would be the best way, I think. Maybe setting keys per timezone to activate or disable? It would require a lot more keys that way however. In my opinion, with how few of us there actually are I'd say assume 10 users per key would be sustainable. Similar to a small business. 5 to be safe. But that of course is assuming that the overuse protection isn't on a hair trigger.
>>41623950>Maybe setting keys per timezone to activate or disable? Why not just do it by a certain number of messages or cycle them continuously for every message?
>>41623952My main worry with that would just be ensuring that we have enough keys. You can do it that way, but if its a situation where they monitor based on long-term activity; short bursts of high usage would be seen as more acceptable than constant usage over a long period.Timezone activation allows two to three keys to be active at any time, cycling properly before the next set activates. Ensuring they see the usage has a 'rest' period before being used again.
>>41623950Some Anons have already bought licenses for themselves. If the few anons who can afford the $85 (there's a $15 newsletter sign-up discount) buy personal accounts, there is nothing stopping them from donating their api keys to the proxy while continuing to use the api personally since it's unlimited. The difference is that if it's multiple anons with different active accounts (beyond the api) the different traffic will look more organic and natural and also there is a possibility of more than 5 keys fueling the proxy that then collectively lessens the load per key
>>41623952Don't think it's possible to monitor message counts per key
>>41623903 I don't want to be a doomer, but I don't think it’ll work. The infinite use is for their AI MagicxBot and some other tools like that; they’re running them with their own system prompt and limited context. Their Opus is also really spotty. It seems like Claude, it knows a lot about ponies, etc., but it fails the Powershell test. https://desuarchive.org/mlp/thread/41354986/#41358281 Maybe it’s because of their settings or prompt. There’s zero indication that the API will be unlimited. In fact, tools that allow more context in their interface are rate-limited (like Magicx Coder). You have to think about it rationally: $139 for lifetime unlimited API access to Claude, with a rate that would allow us all to connect, would be fucking retarded.

I've been testing Knotty as a JB and it's damn solid, but as I was looking through it I couldn't help but notice that there are... Fucking dozens of 'don't control user' rules in repeat. Are those really needed? Or would one be enough?
>>41626964 I didn’t check Knotty, but only one should be needed normally. Make a copy and try editing it to see. If you have to keep just one, generally the 'lower' one in the preset is the most respected.
>>41622190Spaaaaaace!
>>41626964repetition in general a good way to reinforce model's attention. case in point Anthropic's system prompthttps://docs.anthropic.com/en/release-notes/system-prompts#oct-22nd-2024notice that they say "your knowledge cutoff is X and you are unaware of events after X" at the start. and then repeat it again at the end (but granted they also have a bad case of "you should not say -I aim to be direct-, -I need to be honest-, -I should be direct-" so yeah)however lots of repetitions seem to be redundant and I am unsure why Knotty put so many of them in prompt. my idea:1) he was making a prompt2) model started to control user on some swipe3) he put an instruction to prevent it4) 30 messages after model started to control user again5) he put another instruction, and so onbasically he played a whack-a-mole until "it seems" (c) model stopped controlling the user. in truth model will be controlling user - because LOTS of roleplay/chat/story examples, on which models have been trained, contain examples of all characters been controlled in narration. plus it is just the way model works. if your name in story is Anon. and model had logprobs:>The: -0.02342>Why: -0.135>Anon: -0.252and model picked 'Anon' instead of The/Why (because you know - a random chance). then most likely the next logprobs will be> said: 3.2354> move: 1.682> is: 1.875> , : 0.999> smile: -0.0235because Noun + Verb is a logical (linguistically) continuation. model controls user not because it doesn't follow the rules but because training + examples + random chance lead to pick the tokens that will lead to using user in generation. so imho lots of "dont control user" is just a spray and pray tacticyou can remove some of them. I do not think it will make matter worse but as Anon above said - make a backup of preset just in case

>>41628232 Normal 4o models compared to chatgpt-4o-latest? Just my opinion and YMMV, but 4o is the usual old GPT style: very LLMy prose, the kind that influenced most of the models called slopped today. It’s also often full of meaningless details that add absolutely nothing to the writing. There was a rentry with a funny rant about it, but I can’t remember which one. Chatgpt-4o-latest is the first GPT model with very decent prose IMO, even though it still has some issues. Like previous GPT models, it suffers from too much positivity and can lack proactivity, but you can try to correct that with presets or instructions. It’s a shame, but it’s also one of the most filtered OAI models right now, although NSFW is still very possible. One thing to note: if you start with latest and then switch to 4o with enough context, it’ll try to imitate the writing style. The difference will still be noticeable, but it’ll be less obvious. Also, Azure proxies don’t have latest, they’ll redirect you to normal 4o.

Brand new to the hobby aside from using the Chai app for a year. Just installed SillyTavern pretty easily, no idea where to go from here. I just want to RP with my mare waifu, really. I'm not paying for Claude pony pony and the currently available p's are all Latte or Chorbo which has killed my ability to get off to pony pony. So now that I have some time to do whatever with Latte and Chorbo I might as well do something productive. >>41628730you have installed SillyTavern - good. installing it and checking its features is the first hard task. you already figured that ST has A LOT of options, so many that some anons spent 20+ months on this hobby and still discovering neat or cool features. so you are for a long ridethe second hard task is finding model. if you are willing to pay then probably getting Claude 3-5 from AWS or directly from Anthropic is the cheapest/easiest solution. it will cost you ~20$/month if don't go overboard. but do tell if you are willing to paypig for more detailsif you want models for free then it would be more complicated. in this case you need to find proxies. keep an eye on this thread people do post proxies occasionally and you should connect/save them. the most popular model on proxies is chatGPT-4o-latest (or simple Latte or Chorbo). it provides good writing and follows commands well, also>I did read the guideguide? which one? novice-to-advanced? but did you read this guide until the very end? -do it-, Anonthe third hard task is avoiding model's filter (censorship). it requires special prompt (commands) that will confuse model into ignoring its own filter (jailbreak), thankfully there are plenty of them:https://rentry.org/lattejbhttps://rentry.org/znon7vxehttps://rentry.org/jb-listingif you are going to use Latte then maybe use Knotty jailbreak? it seems simple for starters. jailbreaks will be very confusing and complicated at first. when you see all those thinking, biases, regexes you will be overwhelmed. but just experiment on your own, ask question and develop an intuition about how the things work. it is like riding a bicycle - it doesn't matter how much you read about it: you just need to sit on bike and try out. anons can describe some concepts or explain why the things work the way they are. but your own intuition is paramount. text-based AI is a HUGE concept with lots of depth. you may consider it a separate programming language only with natural words instead of pre-set labels and syntax. and as with any programming language you need practice and knowledge>using the Chai app for a yearall those apps from Character.ai to Crushon are popular because they are simple to use and everything was set for you already (the way developers want). with SillyTavern + separate model you have way more depth and control. but also more stuff to learn. godspeed!

Whats the best 'rewrite what I wrote into a long-form story' jailbreak? I like RP but I'm a storybro at heart, so I'd love to see my own stuff expanded. >>41629022 NTA, but: Local models are generally less smart than corporate ones we use on proxies or Claude in OpenRouter, but at least it’s on your machine, usually not or less censored without jailbreaks, and you won’t be dependent on proxies like most anons here. If you’re used to online websites, they often use old local models themselves, so I’m sure the quality will be, at worst, the same. You might get less support since 90% of us use proxies, but we do try to help when we can. For local setup, read https://rentry.org/lmg-spoonfeed-guide. Use koboldCPP with one of the models an anon recommended here >>41622441 with settings from here >>41627959. (Ask the thread again if you’re not sure what to do with them once you’ve set up a local model.) Just ask in the thread again for whichever you want to try once you’re ready.
>>41629193Messed around with a cool character card of Coco Pommel. It was neat, more "complex" I guess than Chai, but sometimes it'd just be wildly weird, I dunno. Just the model seemed wacky. I might try local hosting
>>41629226 Mythomax is a very, very old local model. It’s a bit obsolete by now. If you know how to use OpenRouter with Tavern, I believe OpenRouter still offers Hermes 405B for free, which should be better. However, when I tried it just now, it gave me a blank response, so there might be an issue at the moment. There’s also LLama 3.2 90B available for free. It should be much smarter, but it can have a somewhat flat writing style since it’s not originally made for RP. But yeah, the local models listed above in the Anon post should be a way better experience than Mythomax 13B.And yeah, the card system is great. We have a lots of them.

What's the fix for blank responses?
>>41629327>>41629838I'll make a better comparison post once I've tested it out more, but in my very limited initial testing, the good locals have been really fucking good indeed. I think 90% of "proxies are better" posters have not really given locals a shot and are only repeating what others said because it seems to make sense. I did the same as well.Even with Opus access, I think I prefer locals for now. Part of it is the novelty, yeah, but I've done a simple test where I picked some random chats and regenerated a response with Rocinante/Cydonia before comparing it to the Opus original. I preferred the locals' writing for most of those. The RP training makes them punch above their weight class when it comes to writing. You also don't need any prefills or bulky presets shitting up the context. I'll report back once I get more chats done with it to check for stuff like repetition or Claudisms.Advantages of locals include:>super quick generation that starts instantly (makes swiping painless, too)>no filtering/blank responses/key dying>writing style due to not needing a text preset>follows story convention well (maintains the perspective/PoV better than corpo models)>I haven't had them write for {{user}} yet>lots of model options if you want to try something different>no proxy juggling or riddle-solving needed ever again>no risk of pozzed or scuffed keys lowering the quality>much better configuration (e.g., banned tokens in addition to logit bias)>the RP/story finetunes do not have that "assistant" feel that you get from GPT and even Claude to an extent>reliability -- the model will work even if every site on the web kills itself overnight and Ants/OAI pull their models from their sites>privacy, duh -- everything you do stays on your PC.The main downside is that the model is supposed to be dumber, but I am not sure how big of a deal that is quite yet. The finetunes have been hiding their lack of B's from me thus far. Although RP'ing with a generic Llama kind of sucks, the models from >>41622441 have been impressive. However, I expect them to perform much more poorly in very complex or multi-character cards, given that even Sonnet 3 struggled with those. This is all only for RP/story. Alright, I seem to have enough with Chorbo.I just don't know what to do with it... is the model cucked or just bad? Because I seem try to many presets with the dam thing, but it always falls flat.I'm in Garf's proxy though, so GPT is the only option I have (since I don't have access to Claude) and also since AICG is a massive whine fest, I might as well go here for help.Is there any jailbreak or tips and tricks anything to at least make Chorbo (Chagpt-4o latest) good enough, or at least nudge it to the good mindset for RP?
>>41630387 >is the model cucked Positivity-pilled and quite passive by default, yeah. For some NSFW, you might also need big presets that aren’t the easiest to customize to your taste. But it depends; in some situations, it allows everything on small presets, but that varies. It’s mostly liked because it’s still very smart, knows a lot, and can genuinely write quite well. >Is there any jailbreak or tips and tricks to at least make Chorbo (chatgpt-4o latest) good enough? I posted some I like here, but they’re mostly for SFW, and I add other instructions like being punchy and other preferences. You can also try to instruct it even more for proactivity, etc. >>41622183 The first one is a basic preset that can work quite well and is easy to customize. There’s also a dice function I don’t always use, but it allows for more variation and can put characters in difficult situations (when GPT doesn’t cheat the dice). It also has panels to make the world and characters less agreeable and more dynamic, but you may need to add more. The second one is just a set of instructions that help Chorbo loosen up and be a bit more fun. For NSFW, I’d try each one in the rentry and see which you prefer. I’ve heard recommendations for Smiley, Knotty, Avani, etc., so it seems to depend on personal taste. Chorbo is also pretty good at listening to and respecting OOC in chat, sometimes even better than instructions inside the preset. So, if it gives you a text that’s too long or passive, you can OOC it and ask for a more punchy rewrite with added dynamism or interesting events. If it does well, just OOC to ask it to keep that style going. But even with all that, it still has issues. And you’ll miss Claude for some situations. But that’s just my opinion and experience.>since AICG is a massive whine festI heard the /vg/ one is better.

>>41632737 It’s mostly a matter of taste, so I encourage anons to just run things and see what they want to modify or update themselves. But here’s what I have: - Instructions to punch up the writing. - An optional panel to make Chorbo more "loose" if necessary >>41563493; you could add something for authors you like too. - An optional panel to avoid similes, metaphors, and adverbs if Chorbo goes a bit overboard with them. - I created something to randomize outputs even more. It was a bit schizo and artificial but could work well. It’s on my work computer though, so I can post it after the weekend. - I’m experimenting with the best instructions to add more dialogue in cases where Chorbo leans too heavily on narration. - A free space where I can throw things on the go if I don’t want to use OOC during my RP (e.g., "Something unexpected will happen," "Twilight will enter the scene," etc.) You can also just run the original and go OOC to correct things you don’t like or adjust the writing to your taste. OOC is really powerful because Chorbo then has an example of the writing it needs to update.
>>41632848>- Instructions to punch up the writing.wat
>>41632857 It’s not as bad as past GPT versions, but Chorbo sometimes overdoes it with long sentences or descriptions that don’t add much or aren’t vivid enough. But sometimes, the AI just overdoes it. A quick "make it punchier" instruction can help. If Chorbo’s dragging on, just ask OOC to punch it up and see what happens.

Also, the U.S. government would never have considered using Anthropic or OAI for their AI needs if we hadn’t been RPing with it. Because obviously, the people here are the best advertisers, not the companies, not the people using AI for work or coding, not the AI benchmarks used everywhere to secure investments (It's well know that they use number of PROOMPTS). Not even their own internal tests. Again, they would have never thought of doing that without us, and AI would have never developed without us, too. GPT-2 to GPT-3 to GPT-4? All thanks to RPers and Coomers. I don’t think this needs more (you)s or posts, to be honest.
I'm pretty sure that the new version of 3.5 Sonnet is actually what they were planning on releasing as 3.5 Opus but after OpenAI's releases they went back to the drawing board to overhaul Opus so that it could competeTherefore the Opus model they had ready to release was rebranded as Sonnet so that they could show their available models were as a whole more powerful and they anticipate a far more powerful o1 competitor for Opus
>>41634659Pretty sure Opus is just too expensive to run with too little gain.
>>41634659 I'm not sure. I know it's a popular theory and it kind of makes sense, but the new Sonnet 3.5 is so close to the older one in some points that I really think they took the old 3.5 as a base, not Opus. From its speed, the model also seems to be the same size and not something as big as Opus. But maybe that was their plan from the start and wouldn't have stopped them from calling it Opus 3.5? I personally believe that they just can't justify right now a huge jump in price and size compared to what they had with Sonnet 3.5. Opus is truly expensive, and you would need HUGE gains to justify using a 3.5 version of it. I don't know if current models architecture can still make huge jumps like this.
>>41634685Right but remember how all AI companies are operating at a loss? The rates they charge don't even cover their own expenses let alone make a profit. Tech is all about building up a user base then finding out how to profit later (like Reddit or DoorDash)
>>41634689Operating at a loss doesn't mean you intentionally tank your profits. You still have to try to find lays of minimizing how much your losses are.
>>41634689 If they release an Opus 3.5 that isn’t a big improvement or a huge jump compared to previous versions, it might discourage investors because they’ll see we could be approaching the limits of the current architecture. That might be why you see OAI hyping up AGI, even though they know it’s not possible with current models, and why they’re releasing gimmicks like o1 or voices while still hovering around the level of the first GPT-4.

>>41634768 I looked, and it says source 2 right now. Maybe he saw your post. >>41634781 To be fair, jailbreaking Claude is mostly just using the prefill. OAI is indeed more restrictive on API. But if they used Azure moderation system for everything we would be fucked. But the most WTF jailbreak meta is the stuff people try on the official interface—it’s crazy all the methods they’ve used and experimented with. Foreign languages, DAN, point systems, context poisoning (more impressive than on API with what they’re working with), encryption, etc.

>>41634988To someone who's new to identifying/model forensics what do I look out for to make a good log?
>>41634974I decided to test this and it decided to hit me with this shit. I regret putting "asshole storyteller" as my main prompt
>>41635000 First off, post logs if you find them fun, neat, or just because. It’s always great to see someone enjoying themselves, and I imagine bot creators like seeing their work played with, too. I’ve never seen logs here get bashed or hated on. Even in this log, there are some cool parts. The only thing that holds it back for me is the repetitive structure: "Her magic," "Her horn," "The bed." But that’s just me being autistic, and I think it matters more in longer logs. What makes a good log varies a lot. So-so writing with a cute, funny, or soulful pony moment can easily beat out perfectly written but uneventful scenes. For example, >>41625533 has some typical LLM clichés in its narration, but Fluttershy’s reaction is just too cute to care. Even sharing a funny line, a clever phrase, or pure weirdness can make a good log. To be more "objective," I would say:- Avoid repetition - Try for varied sentence structures - On some models, you might see a "summary" paragraph at the end where the AI tries to recap, explain everyone’s feelings, or ask what happens next. If it doesn’t add to the log, it’s best to avoid or cut these. - Try to avoid "Claudisms," "GPTisms," or "LLMisms." With time, you’ll start spotting certain phrases they overuse, like "shivers down spine," "barely above a whisper," or "eyes full of mischief." But again, even with that, if the dialogue’s funny or something cool happens, just post it. And don’t overthink it. You can always blame it on the AI at the end.

It's genuinely as bad as GPTMeanwhile Sonnet 3.5>Generates immediately no questions askedI'm telling you that kid's death scared every AI company. The era of fun and easy to tweak Claude is dead. >>41635207>>41635263>>41635275This is as good as it gets, believe me I tried.

>>41635669Yes>>416356633.6 through both via OR and a paypig proxy that recently reacquired Claude. I noticed more refusals (almost 90% of generations) through the paypig proxy than OR ("only" 50%)JB is a slightly modified form of the Kurt Vonnegut one which has never been filtered out on any previous version of Claude, ever.
>>41635695By the way, the only reason I was able to complete the story was when I went and used 3.5 (0620) through OR. I did use 3.6 for everything in Part 1 and Part 2 so it doesn't make sense why it choked up at the end
>>41635695 No problems with this one, I just add to use explicit words in the NSFW section. https://files.catbox.moe/cf9jzv.json I tried some other presets, and usually, you need to push the prefill a bit more. Sometimes, just adding [Resuming]: at the end can work. If you don’t mind sharing your previous preset, I can test it and see what can be done to make it bypass better without changing too much.
Stop dying colun=mn
>>41635807This.
>>41635649>>41635695I've been through ...a journey. I think I found out why I got those refusals. I think Risu gives a specific additional prompt for GCs that interferes with JBs. Some swipes showed responses to a prompt I never wrote that insisted that characters narrate as themselves RATHER THAN as a writer like my prefill says. Additionally when trying to force a scene change in a GC it was impossible, and my the output was limited in GCs showing that the prefill must've been compromised in some way. The moment I exported the chat and went to an individual card again I no longer got refusals.Regarding the picture. Read it left to right. First row, then second row. Before you ask: yes, it's chronological. Yes, it skips over a lot. I'd love to see what you guys assume came in between each of those snippets.

>>41637678don't worry. it was funnymodels via API typically have RPM and TPM values, - Requests per Minute and Tokens per Minute. how many messages and tokens single API key can process at once until it hit a ratelimit. basically a way to combat spam/resource-hog/ddos/extensive-fee. they are set by developers. sometimes RPD and TPD are used - those mean -per day-. various API keys have various tiers. for example if company spent 100$ on model (in total) then they have say 100,000 TPM and 50 RPM. but if they spent 5,000$ then they may get for example 2,000,000 TPM and 2000 RPM. more spending == better rates. it all depends on business/key/tier/company

>>41637681>>41637734>I use like 0.5 usually with the long replies,Kek, it's funny how much that number differs for everyone. I checked and apparently I'm below 0.2 RPM. It's not the reading that's slowing me down. I just tend to think about my replies for a moment. Then, once I start writing them, putting in the {{user}} actions, rewording things to not repeat myself, moving the dialogue tags around, etc., takes a minute or two as well. Not to mention that half my replies are 8+ sentences long, so this time adds up.I just feel bad when I'm writing worse than Claude and "dragging down" the quality by poisoning the context with garbage.

Add instructions to use explicit words in the NSFW field if it’s too shy with those.
