So a bit of a curve is a stylistic choiceto add a bit of definition to the bottom edge, but the main highlight should still be vertical.Also I'd definitely advise you to work in a higher resolution from the get-go in the future. You don't necessarily have to redraw this - it's always better to finish a piece than to get into a cycle of restarting it because it's wrong, then lose motivation - but right now it really is pretty pixelated. If you're drawing in something like paint, either go way bigger or consider using some drawing program with antialiasing (can't go wrong with Krita), but starting a bit bigger can almost never hurt either way. You can always scale the image down for posting later, but you can't really easily upscale a low-resolution drawing if it ends up too small.

Adding a bit of shine on the bottom helps define the hoof a tiny bit more, though it's not necessarily super accurate physically speaking as far as reflections go, but then this is in the style of a flash cartoon.I'd say you could always also try just removing the curve entirely and only doing a flat shine if you want, it might look great. The original edit anon was adding little curves but you don't have to follow what he did 100%.
