These days, you can get legit good AI for free and without needing any demanding hardware on your end.Install SillyTavern:github.com/SillyTavern/SillyTavernThen choose a model. I'd recommend starting with Gemini, but you can try Deepseek, K2 etc. for free.rentry.org/sukino-findings#if-you-want-to-use-an-online-ai

Anyone else like to occasionally revisit older stories with new models, to see how they write differently on certain beats and pivotal moments? I especially like doing it in spots older ones got confused on.
>>42750098It's okay, anon. At least it's not calling anything lavender.

>>42750291Beautiful. Model and preset?
>>42747878Just saw this awesome Timberjack art and wondered if someone could do a card
>>42750291That is such a lovely ending.
>>42750369 It gave me an idea for a scenario, so I'm not promising anything, but I’ll try to have one out by tomorrow since it fits the event.
>>42750338It's a bit of a Frankenstein's monster.I was switching between models and presets to see which one could give me the best ending. Opus 3 with a light prefill:https://files.catbox.moe/kdzxpk.txt gave me this output up until the "She loved it" part. The ending was a bit weak, but I found the beginning really well done, and I loved the toothbrush part. So I copied that section, replaced my prefill with it so other models can continue from there. Then I switched to 4.5, and it picked up the story nicely, bringing back the plot about her looking into alternative versions of herself from the beginning, which I liked. However, the last few lines didn't stand out much.So I copied that part into the prefill again, switched back to Opus 3, and it finally produced the "love" part at the very end.So you could say it's 75% Opus 3, 25% Sonnet 4.5Most of the earlier chat was done with Sonnet 4.5 and the preset posted here: >>42729324. Sorry if this isn't a straightforward answer, I've been experimenting a lot during chats. One thing I'm testing right now is a prefill with just {{lastMessage}} inside. This way, models like Claude 4.5 seem to continue more naturally from your last response, rather than dividing it between user and model; especially if your last input had some thought put into it.
>>42750551>So you could say it's 75% Opus 3, 25% Sonnet 4.5and 100% reason to remember the name

>>42748059This shit is awesome! I've been using NovelAI for art, but only recently I discovered how amazingly its text generation model is as well. After two straight days of gooning I'm totally spent, and need to find something non-sexual to do for a change. Is there a way to use NovelAI for SillyTavern?
>>42758046>NovelAII completely lost track of them, new models I assume, care to show a log or a generation to see how it does pony now?
>>42758046Yes you can use it as a provider source. There's a way to get an API key, It's somewhere in account details/settings, I forget where but I think you can look it up
>>42758046I looked up their API in the past because an anon wanted to use his subscription on the Visual Novel.Apparently you can connect to SillyTavern like this:https://files.catbox.moe/dn6e6o.PNGWith an API key you can get in your settings. Can't confirm since I don't have a subscription, so no key to connect. From what I read, connection outside of their interface can be quite buggy though.>>42758078It's just GLM 4.6 with no finetune and nerfed context. >>42758046Yea, it was looked into way back during the Kayra days, but autism nigger kept whining about the thread still giving support for it.Nowadays, on chat profile, instead of chat completion you'll see a NovelAI option, so should be simpler. There's some bots for NovelAI in the old spreadsheet in its own tab, but the usual shared around aren't compatible to it, at least they weren't in the old days, not sure now if they'd work

>>42763044I can talk a bit about her creation.I knew I wanted to make some kind of monster mare for Halloween, I tossed around the idea of werewolves (marewolves?) or other cursed beings, but decided a ghost could have the most unique interactions. My first idea was something more serious, where the house would actually have two identical ghosts, one good and one evil, and the player wouldn't know which is which as they only appear one at a time. I scrapped it because I realized it would become a Mare Amore Mansion tier mess real fast.I also tend to think horror is the hardest genre to write well and didn't think I'd have the writing chops for it, so comedy cuteness it is. That's when I hit upon this idea of a mare who's done nothing but grow vegetables all her life now having to try and be spooky.Fun fact: I was going to name her Hush Puppy cause it sounded like a fitting name for a cute pony ghost, but then urban dictionary told me that's also the name of a sex position so eh... I went with Rosey Ring cause of the cliche of that song being used in horror movies.
>>42763094>I was going to name her Hush Puppy because it sounded like a fitting name for a cute pony ghost, but then Urban Dictionary told me that's also the name of a sex position, so eh... I went with Rosey Ring. I'm pretty sure old Claude once used "rosey ring" to describe a ponut, back when it couldn't describe them and used phrases like "puckered star." Anyway, cute card. I'll make a detailed post once I have the time.
>>42763136Kek. Goddammit literally everything is a sex thing.
>Gemini, trying to say she's a mature mareI'm not too sure about this one...
>>42762872I feel that. Also it's hard to explain but you spend a chat building up the "vibe" and tone, especially the character's, then when you summarize it almost never feels like it did in the original chat and you have to work to build it back again. Only to do it again if you keep going past this chat too.
>>42763534so how do we accurately capture it?picking up key phrases and putting them in a summary/lorebook will just be prompt poisoning where it will be used repeatedly and become their fucking catch phraseI once had a lorebook where Twilight would very rarely feel a phantom limb from having her wings removed. would show up almost every response because what else will a LLM do with context but include it
>>42763553I'm not entirely sure. My "solution" is just doing a general story summary in the card/relevant info in the lorebook, then for the character vibes/tone I find myself manually editing/adding stuff to their replies for the first few messages to try and steer it in the original direction. It's not perfect, but it did help me through my longest story which went thorough 6+ chat resets.
>>42763566do you still have the whole thing, or did you delete the prior ones when summarizing and making a new chat?
>>42763585Whole thing. I eventually had to "reboot" that story because the card got way too bloated. Like I said, it's not perfect and I'm still figuring this out as I go (even 2 years into ST later lol). I think as it stands LLMs are just best for short form stories.
>>42763591willing to share it? i'm wanting a long roleplay as an example to test against. my own are short-mid at best since I ragequit and start new one with a new concept when it gets alzheimers, and i'm too lazy for manual summarization/lorebooks
>>42763597Sorry, my stories are very personal (and kinda cringe) and I don't feel comfortable sharing the summaries here (plus said story isn't MLP technically, thus off topic). But for summarization I actually rarely do it fully manually, you can upload your logs to something like Gemini or NotebookLM and ask for a summary and then double check it/add any info it missed.

Any advice for GLM 4.6 system prompt?More specifically NAI, but considering it's more about the model, non-specific is fine. I just find their default to be less than ideal, I don't think whoever wrote it really grasped the pink elephant effect, or how phrasing of instructions might influence the output. (Which checks out, since it's technically still a preview)
Talking about summarization. When you do you to “inject” the lorebook summarization into the story?
>>42763782Based on the best practices from these guides, here's where injection should happen for optimal results: Summaries Small summaries (under 1000-1200 tokens): - Inject at depth 3-4 into chat history using Character's Note field - Target the bottom 3-4k token zone (Claude 3 Opus/Sonnet) or 4-5k zone (Claude 3.5 Sonnet) - Leave space for recent chat history messages underneath the summary for coherency Large summaries: - Keep in the system prompt (at the top) - Use if your summary + other injected content exceeds ~1200 tokens Key principle from summarization.md:872-876: "You can put it into the 4th or 5th user message as User, by using a chat injection... Count the tokens and try putting the summary at the top of the 3-4k token (Claude 3 Opus/Sonnet) or 4-5k (3.5 Sonnet) zone." Lorebooks/World Info From the World Info Encyclopedia, the recommended placements are: - PLists (descriptions): At depth 5 (one above author's note/persona) - Ali:Chat (dialogue examples): "After character" position - General environment/setting: "Before character" description - Character persona: At depth 4 (as constant entry in lorebook) - Genre/Tags/Scenario: Author's note at depth 1 worldinfo.md:137-141: "These positions are determined based on how important something is in the prompt. If you believe something to be more important, then place it further down the prompt. Depth is the most useful option since the entries can be placed anywhere." Data Bank (RAG) - Follows the same rules as Author's Note and World Info for Injection Position - Retrieved chunks reserve context before fitting chat messages - Use Injection Template to control formatting (with {{text}} macro) Why These Positions? The guides emphasize the U-shaped attention curve: - Bottom 3-5k tokens: Highest attention (most important) - Top 3-5k tokens: Secondary attention - Middle: "Lost in the middle" - easily forgotten Lower depth numbers = closer to bottom = more attention. The injection strategy balances keeping important info in high-attention zones while leaving room for recent chat history.
>>42763044Really cute card: Casper but as a mare, and changing something to pony always makes it 10 times better, as we all know. Both the description and greeting are hand-written, which is always a plus. The description details the concept well and adds personality touches too.>She tends to float around slowly, but occasionally forgets and trots like a normal pony. This is quite cute and soulful. From my tests, Claude didn't latch onto the eggplant, which is good, but it did have a tendency to use "fiddlesticks" a bit too eagerly. These models always tend to overuse examples when given. Not sure what the best approach would be here; maybe add more varied examples or emphasize that she uses other expressions more frequently. The greeting is really cute and sets up the situation well. It does force the 'you' POV, which will annoy the 3 anons who roleplay in third person or use other cards/characters, but it can be a pain to create an anypov greeting in this type of scenario. I believe most do roleplay in second person anyway.I can see lots of scenarios with her: having her as a 'roommate', helping her become scarier, discovering why she haunts the place and trying to set her free, etc.I wouldn't replace it because it's cute, but I'm not sure how she managed the mask since:>Due to being incorporeal, {{char}} cannot touch or be touched. She cannot interact with physical things, however she can mess with certain magical objects. For example, she can adjust the light crystals that illuminate the building, or play around with the magitech responsible for things like water pressure and heat around the house.Magical mask perhaps?Overall, a cute single-character card with a nice concept. (You) should give it a try or share your opinion too.
>>42763900>I wasn't very good at being a ponyAww, my heart. Thanks for the review, anon! Yeah, I should have guessed giving an example word is a bad idea. Might just remove it and word that part differently>Magical maskThat was my thinking And in my experience the models picked up on the spectral mask thing pretty well, having it fall through the floor when she drops it.
>>42763900When I played with her, the mask poofed away and she often has props that just appear for her like a spectral notepad when she wanted to take notes.
Lorebooks PSA:This may be obvious to others, but ALL that gets passed on to the LLM is the content verbatim, without the entry title / primary keywordsAnd it just rams all entries together with just a newline (\n) separator (the [] brackets are in my entry content)So if you're a muppet who makes your lorebooks like me, it has no context whatsoever for who/what you're even talking aboutso in my example:the LLM gets:"content": "[Location: Library built into a large tree, contains Anonfilly's room]\n[Character: Attempting to mother Anonfilly, wants Anonfilly to integrate with other ponies her age, currently away doing friendship research with friends]

Where are the glowing reviews for GLM before NAI started hosting it? That was a couple of months, by the way. Because it sounds to me that you're a bunch of hypocrites.
>>42764114>Where are the glowing reviews for GLMI posted logs several times in the past and was always called a chinese shill. I still think claude and kimi is better though, glm is better than gemini / deepseek though
>>42764114Or maybe that one anon only just discovered it, like he said. Don't start this stupid obsessed shit again. NAI is out of the OP.
>>42764143I still think removing from the OP and giving in was a bad move, as if the fag would disappear after giving in to his autism like barneyfagBut to be fair, I am surprised he's still around like year(s) though
>>42764128I can't think of anything that makes it stand out between that tier of cheap Chinese models. And I was already getting tired of them. But this thread pretends that it's something new... a couple of months after it released. Fuck you and your astroturfing.
>>42764160deepseek id dumber and has too much deepseek isms, and does dumb shit like making twilight a robot, glm is much smarter but a bit less creative. Kimi 0905 is a bit dumber but its like old opus, creative / filthy as fuck, claude's fandom knowledge still makes it the best for new cards / sfwI often use claude to write until nsfw scenes, where I use kimi
>>42764159I wouldn't even be surprised if he has some bot scanning all the AI threads for NAI mentions just so he can come in and throw a fit.I really hate the amount of obsessed schizos on this site currently. Can't even discuss certain topics.
>>42764143>that one anon only just discovered itThat's bullshit. Read it again. Why is there excessive hyperbole? It's there for the purpose of selling NAI. Do you ever read anything like that for a random OR provider? Normal, honest people don't talk like that.
>>42764114I missed you, NovelAI schizo! I just recently found out they have GLM and it's covered under the subscription I already pay for image gen. I do not think GLM is better than Claude. If I had infinite money I'd use Claude on OpenRouter exclusively. I was excited to find an alternate and possibly cheaper way to get my fix. Hope that clears things up.I look forward to your endless shitposting crusade though!
>Should I post logs or participate in the highlight? >No, I'll answer or talk about the schizoFuck off, retards.
what model is generally good for summarization, including of NSFW? "no, Anon. I can't summarize the nuances of how you pound the pony pussy"and as a followup, is there a free sauce for the model with a high usage cap?
>>42764171There's nothing to discuss. You want to install yourself in every AI thread on 4chan to sell a subscription, while offering nothing new compared to a random OpenRouter provider. It's forcing itself as "4chan culture" with the power of spam alone. You're just scamming people. If it was honest, then I would be seeing people worshiping random providers like if they were Gods, but that only happens "organically" with NAI. It's bullshit.
>>42764186Gemini should works well.
>>42764178>I was excited to find an alternate and possibly cheaper way to get my fix.No, that doesn't explain the excessive hyperbole or why worshiping NAI is supposed to be organic.
>>42764195I see only that one mention, take your meds
>>42764186Gemini is alright and Claude of course. Though I've noticed Claude tends to write really clinical summaries so if like me you want a more fun tone you should say so in your prompt.
Has deepseek always been super deterministic?Like the start of a replay is ALWAYS the same no matter the temp or how many gens/swipes you make?
>>42764197You just disagreed with him, therefore in his world you are also a paid off shill. You can't argue with genuine mental illness, anon.
>>42764209afaik Reasoner ignores the temperature, and the normal model adjust the temp somewhat. Try different temps and see if there's a sweetspot. You can also inject an ooc note for one generation to make it change its tune.
>>42764197Fuck you. The only explanation given for that behavior is "it has to be a person that doesn't know that anything else exists except NAI" which is stupid. "I'm so impressed about this thing I know nothing about, I have to tell that thread that I don't actually read!"The company that started by taking over a thread on 4chan is the only thing that gets shilled that way.
>>42764222*the adjustment is nonlinear From the api docs, temperature has no effect on the reasoner model. As for the chat one, it's a hearsay, but I believe it:>Apparently DeepSeek is at its best at Temp 0.3, so the DeepSeek API does some weird maths to keep it in that range unless you try rlyrly hard: if you put in a Temp below 1 it multiplies it by 0.3; if you put in a Temp between 1 and 2 it subtracts 0.7. Personally I use Temp settings of 1.1 or 1.2, and get good results.
>>42763044I like her a lot, she is very sweet and fun to tease. The one thing I would like is some more greetings. And add a way that I could touch her...
>>42764044Yeah but the model also sees the text, no?
>>42764251Not the botmaker, but what would you add for greetings?I could maybe see one where she doesn't reveal herself right away and just causes phantasmal pranks for a short while.I think we can go see Twilight to magicbabble a solution, but that feels cheap.
>>42764272Maybe a greeting on Nightmare Night where she gets a corporeal form for a day.
>>42764272Yeah, one where she doesn't reveal herself right away, one where you have friends over and she is interrupting your party or whatever, one where some ghostbuster pony is trying to get rid of her, body possession, taking her trick or treating, you dying and being a ghost too, AI lovemaking, IDK dealers choice, I just think it would be cool to see her in other situations.
>>42764272I actually considered something like that when writing her, but you'd have to game it in ST somehow so she doesn't get revealed too soon. Now that I think about it, it might be possible with lorebooks like this>entry A that says she tries spooky stuff without revealing herself>entry B that says she's revealed somehow, with X amount of delay, set in the same Inclusion Group but on higher priority>entry B triggers X messages in, overwriting entry AYou might still have to manually disable them afterwards though. Hmm.
>>42764251>SpoilerLLM's are prone to skew into this territory on their own. Ghosts becoming temporarily tangible enough to touch is a thing in fiction, but since models are assistant slopped you can just nudge it in that direction
I was surprised to see that there's only one intro for her. >>42764302>>42764278Instead of limiting it to 1 Nightmare night. For example, I would edit the def to include this as a mechanic. https://naturalform.com/blogs/wellness/the-witching-hourIf you want extra immersion, you can tie it to macros of time of day for you irl, until its late at night then she would be closer to the mortal realm but then that means you might have to sacrifice your own sleep. {{time}} isn't a requirement and can just as easily make another intro with hinting at the witching hour being close
>>42764257>Yeah but the model also sees the text, no?The 'content' portion only, you can verify checking the terminal display in sillytavernso for my example the model gets verbatim '[Character: Attempting to mother Anonfilly' etcnothing mentioning this relates to Twilight
>>42764293>but you'd have to game it in ST somehow so she doesn't get revealed too soonyou could do some kind of countdown and have it keep track, with it in the AI response between one of the comment tags like <countdown_here> so it's hidden form the user. but they would see it if they edit the message

Oh hey, 4.5 has streaming now. Also I told it Rarity was racist and it's being very cooperative having her talk about mass deportations. In general I have found the character itself matters to it more than the actions in terms of filtering. Chrysalis raping Celestia is a nono, but lolis sucking you off gets a pass. It's interesting.

>>42766239>Do you mean here on pic related? or where?length would be measured in tokens for how many words etc in your summary. throw it in a token counter to get an estimatethen there's injection position, where it gets sent to the LLM relative to the rest (your preset, your roleplay messages etc)there's a built in summarization extension. i've not used it in forever, but you should be able to replace the {{summary}} in [Summary: {{summary}}] with the actual content you want to be your summary. Or you could auto generate a summary with this extension
>>42766398I see, so would "Injecting after main prompt" work with a 2k+ summary, assuming that will put it right into the story. btw, appreciate your directions, anon.
>>42766398Do you normally chat with that horrible blue or is it just for us to see easier.
>>42766521>Do you normally chat with that horrible blueactually yes, I changed to this when one of the chatroom simulator type cards had weird contrast and I couldn't read a damn thing, and I haven't thought to change it back since there's usually a background image so it's only visible for the UI elements, not the chatThat's something we don't discuss nearly enough here - best sillytavern theme?
>>42766514>would "Injecting after main prompt" work with a 2k+ summaryany position will 'work', it will still be sent to the LLM model and included in the context. But the AI weights things differently depending on where it shows up in all the context it's sent, which is why we can optimize a bit by changing the position depending on how big the summary is to make sure it's seen as important2k looks to be getting into large territory, so experiment with either before or after main prompt, that should be near the top, and different models will have their own nuance about what works best

Just had a 100+ convo with a bot. Been a long, long time since I did that, it was usually around 20 at the very best. How are you doing in terms of chat lengths, anon? And do you have some kind of finishing ritual? I remember during the AI Dungeon days some people used to conclude with "and the moral of the story is...", which can stull produce hilarious moments.

>>42767062My RPs almost always go for multiple chats of 200+ messages each. I get swept away in the story and coming up with new scenes and developments.
>>42767062Usually mine don't go for longer than 20 cause I don't tend to go in with more than a vague silly idea I want to play out and then abandon.I do have a few though. One of my more recent 100+ ones was a romantic drama with Rarity.
>>42767062I'm a genuine schizo who tends to go for long conversations / roleplays. I think the longest running chain of a session ever was somewhere around 3,200 inputs? I average around 500 inputs per story before I either complete the overarching theme of the story, or the model starts to break down as we've breached the scope of its world-building.I was the one VN Anon who had the weird magic problem of requiring the balance of both light and dark magical energies, whom was also forced into being an alicorn by A.I. shenaniganry, who then went on an adventure with Starlight in Our Town. (I think I used 2.6 - 3 million tokens up to that point.)I've been meaning to get back into the Visual Novel, but have been wanting to add custom day / night variants to locations. I've also been watching the events calander idea, so I've held back from jumping into a long session so I don't have to worry about losing all the progress of the chat when I inevitably swap versions.
>>42767243I believe this was my 'Our Town' session token usage. Not the craziest thing anyone's probably seen, as I was stretching the value to the best of my ability.

>>42767243>>42767258Loved the 'Our Town' adventure.I took a break from the dev of the VN because I was starting to get burned out by it (the coding part, not the pony part), but I think I'll restart soon. Starting by fixing the Summary function, then I guess I'll just see what anons want added.
>>42767285What do I replace "metadata: null," with?
>>42767312I understand the burn-out. Make sure to take a break every now and then, or have a little side project that you work on to help prevent burning out your creativity while still giving you ideas and experience. I personally help another anon on a project by motivating them with edited videos of me breaking their game. (I beta test as a fun hobby.)If my opinion is worth anything, I can honestly say that the Visual Novel is one of- If not THE most ambitious and successful projects I've seen in this field!
>>42767312>I took a break from the dev of the VN because I was starting to get burned out by itI feel that. Holy shit, do I feel that.>>42767243>I've also been watching the events calander ideaModding the game is a fucking curse, anon. Honestly, I haven't been able to enjoy the VN the way I used to before I started working on Dashie. I stopped treating it like the magic it is and started treating it like a job. I kept starting new saves, only playing a bit into stories just to test location transitions, character entries and exits, bedroom scenes, and features like sleepovers and afternoon switching. A month later, I started implementing the calendar and got hit with major burnout. I want so badly to dive into a deep RP, get immersed, and test the calendar system, but I just can’t right now.tl;dr: Please don't wait up for the calendar. I have no idea when I'll get around to finishing it.
>>42767344Replace null with curly brackets. The reason for the error is due to metadata being set to null.I'd recommend refreshing and updating the session id after patching.

>>42767374I'm very patient. I can wait for an extended period of time without issue. Sorry to hear that you've suffered burnout as well. Don't let request take precedent over your ability. We're thankful for all you've done, but this is a passion project. What's the point of doing this if you can't enjoy it as well? (That is my personal experience.)Development takes time, and sometimes we don't have that luxury. I'm thankful that you were honest with me. If I could actually program instead of just breaking things, I'd toss my hat into the field, but it has been years since I've personally coded, and that was utilizing C#, hehe...
Since there's talk about chat lengths, I decided to check the stats on my Vampire Cozy story, which I believe is my longest running one>somewhere between 800k - 1 million tokens total>26 chats across two character cards>four separate lorebooksAnd it's not even done, there's at least a couple story arcs still left, if and when I get the urge to continue.
>>42767399>>four separate lorebookswhat? wouldn't you want a single one for all of the chats if it's a continuity roleplay?

A bit off topic, but can I say how much I loathed the Golden Oaks Library for the fact that it seemed to rotate to face whoever looked at it; no matter the position? I really hope this doesn't go into a lorebook.
>>42767062I do two kinds of chats: quick NSFW that goes to ~40-50 messages (80%+ of my chats), and longer stories that finish around 120-200.>And do you have some kind of finishing ritual?Nothing specific. The short ones are either left as-is or with a small handful of messages (2-3) after a timeskip. The second type tends to have their initial story naturally exhausted by the end, with things settling into some kind of a status quo—and if not, I'll write a final timeskip and an ending.

>>42767392Thanks anon. Hopefully it won’t take too long for me to get back into lovemaking. I like your idea of having night versions for locations. I thought about doing something like that, but just for the sleepover scenes at each pony’s house. I didn’t find enough good background images for it on the boorus, but I’m pretty sure the Nightmare AU has what we’re both looking for. I also briefly considered changing the outdoor backgrounds to match the season when it was winter or autumn, but there just aren’t enough background images to work with. I wonder how much it would cost to commission some vector artist to make some.
>>42767517Nightmare AU was indeed my inspiration for such an idea. Trying out the group chat feature.I'm not complaining, it ended up super cute.
>>42768732>Last sentence.It's a cute indeed.
Went better than I expected. Contrasting points of view really bring out a story. Rosey kinda reminds of the princess from slay the princess.Rosey appeared and tried to scare us. That was very painful for Rosey's self esteem. After stepping in between them, the only way forward was for Rosey to posses me and lead out us out of the spooky forest. The rest is in picrel
I really don't get why 4.5 is so inconsistent with its filter. Why is Rarity getting wet talking about mass deportation okay but as soon as we get to killing Celestia that's too much?

How do we actually *begin* to reshape Equestria into what it should be?">*Her gaze drops to his erect cock, and she licks her lips, her earlier pretense of propriety completely abandoned.* "Overthrow the Diarchs, purge the ziggers, rebuild Equestria in our image..." *She steps closer, her own arousal becoming evident.* "Tell me more while I show you exactly how a proper Equestrian mare rewards a stallion with such... *revolutionary* vision."
Had to do some wrangling against the slop collapse due to a long chat, but we finally reached a happy ending. After a fight reminiscent of evil dead between the two supernatural entities, Rosey came out on top and formally opened the x-files.
>>42768965No substance on the politics since she was obviously horny, but the start of the third paragraph is hysteric.
>>42768990What did anon mean by this?
>>42769052It just that it's so sudden it took me out of immersion for a sec.

Have you ever written fanfics or greens before getting into chatbots? There's a chance that the pone you're talking to RIGHT NOW was trained on your writings.
>>42769136ah, I'm blind. I actually meant the last one.

>>42767136 (me)turns out the free account only lets there be one collaborator, that'll teach me to trust AI when finding a toolbut no one pointed this out, so I take it there's no interest in helping on this? should I bother finding an alternate platform and migrating everything across?
>>42769434I'm interested in this and in the extension, but I honestly don't know how to proooompt for a better summary than what we already have, or if a human-written proooompt can really improve a technical task like summarization.
>>42769452did you read my slop prompts? huethough maybe the issue is it's hard to help without context of how it would actually work etc, and i've likely not explained the various prompts and what they do wellmaybe the solution is I need to make each instead of a single configurable prompt, make it a dropdown where you can have multiple for each like presets, make it able to be set per card/chat if you want to configure it for a specific scenario, and versionedand maybe something like a proompt repository where they can be shared and downloaded from
>>42769481When I do use auto summarization, which is not that common, I go with:https://rentry.org/how2claude#summarizationWhich I imagine you already know since it's often posted on AI generals.I'm busy with other projects, but I'll take a better look at what you have this weekend. Anyone knows why lmarena is answering like Silly isn't sending the chat context? It was working fine earlier after the metadata fix, and I don't remember making any other changes.

Here's my attempt at giving back. It's a system to hide spoilers, characters inner thoughts, feelings, and more, from user. We do this by hiding the text visually instead of preventing the AI from outputting it.Warning for bad AI code and AI written examples.https://rentry.org/m2tx23ih
>>42770473Nice. Will give it a try for sure, thanks anon.
>>42769497>This anon seems quite adept at summaries with lorebooksThe way I do it is I use World Info Recommender for lorebook entries, manually editing as needed. In lorebooks I add characters, important items etc. as well as a smaller recap of the basic premise. For summarization I've never used any of the fancy automatic stuff, when the chat gets big enough, I simply prompt something like>(OOC: Pause roleplay. Recap the events of the story so far. Write at least x words and keep the tone of the recap in line with the rest of the story.)Then I try different models and swipe as needed, grab the best one, edit as needed and slap it to the start of a new chat.
>>42770607>and slap it to the start of a new chatWhy not just hide everything until the last 20 or so messages with /hide 0 - X?That way the character behaviour and style of speech will easily carry over.Do you guys do a chaptered summary you tack on to, or just one big blob that gets completely redone every summary? I reached message 700 again, and the big blob summary is getting hard to manage. Also I feel like sonnet is a better summarizer than opus
>>42770615>Why not just hide everything until the last 20 or so messages with /hide 0 - X?Easier archiving/rewinding in super long stories, mostly. I name and number my chat files according to the current story arc. That way if I want to get to a previous spot again, I just gotta pick the right file from the list.
Anyone else getting Error 529 Timeout's on sillyspoon, when using a jb? Or is it just me? When I switch off my jb's, it works perfectly fine
>>42770698i've never had that problemwhich model on spoony, which jb?and can you get the actual error details from the sillytavern terminal window?
>>42770615Oh and as for the big blob problem, I usually let the older stuff in the summaries naturally get less and less detailed. That's where the Premise lorebook entry comes in: if there's an older, important plot development, a short version of that goes in the LB while the chat summary focuses more and more detail on more recent events.
>>42770697I just do "Save Checkpoint", then enter something to remember it by.>>42770704Yeah. I think my problem is I'm just yapping with characters, and not really doing much else. You can condense that down, but at a certain point claude gets confused and starts noting down more and more contextless snippets. I think I'll just have to do them manually now.I hope I get back to adventuring soon, that sounds easier to summarize/lorebookize
>>42770704>That's where the Premise lorebook entry comes inhow is it triggered, or is this one always active?
Next thread should be Nightmare Night themed too.
>>42770714ah known issue with cloudflare fucking out. it happens to me rarely, though it's strange it only happens on a certain jb for youhow frequent is it? i'm using a local first hop proxy that silently retries in the background so I don't even see that kind of bullshit
>>42770725oh you saw it alreadyIt was giving away my time and I decided to get rid of it, edit out the time, and reupload itIt's extremely infrequent, first time I'm seeing it ever. And it seems to happen only when I'm using jbs.
>>42770709Always active.
>>42770727actually, is there demand for my first hop proxy?it's got lots of scuffed features that aren't ready yet, but the basics work to resend the message to the real proxy/provider on a ratelimit, cloudflare fuck up etc. there's also options to log every llm call in a file locally (helps with me developing extensions, seeing what lorebooks/prompts are actually active etc. the sillytavern terminal window is aids for that)how it works:you set the sillytavern endpoint to the first-hop proxy running on your own pc, something likehttp://localhost:8765/opus6-claudethen you have a config-opus6-claude.yaml file with the settings you want to use and where the request should go after local logging/formatting etctarget_proxy: url: "https://each-consumers-aging-planners.trycloudflare.com/v1/chat/completions" timeout: 30 apikey: "<REDACTED>"though having the api key there is optional, if not provided it'll use the one saved in sillytavern, I just had weird issues when changing connection profiles sometimes it didn't reliably switch to the right apikey so I offloaded that to the local proxy instead
>>42770732My friend, you are way better at this stuff than I am, I already forgot how I even set up sillytavern on my computer in the first placeI've no idea what a HopProxy is and half of what you're explaining in the how it works goes right over my headIt sounds pretty cool and that it would probably solve my issue though, but I am, an absolute brainlet when it comes to this
>>42770732>helps with me developing extensions, seeing what lorebooks/prompts are actually activeWhy not use https://github.com/SillyTavern/Extension-PromptInspector ? I also log all my requests, but for just checking the prompt the extension is really nice>>42770736Mate you have an AI at your fingertips to guide you through everything step by step. >>42770739ah thats fine whatever>>42770738>Remember LLMs aren't actually developed for virtual maresIm not gonna lie I legitimately forgot
>>42769748it's not looking good, anon. i'm not good at coding at all, but i got the gist of it. they changed the way they deal with message retries, which makes it so you can't inject whatever text you want into the http request, which was the entire reason the script worked. put simply, it's completely fucked and the party's probably over.
>>42770758actually I came up with a fix earlier. different method entirely because you're right, it looks like lmarena rugpulled how it used to workthe couple anons I had testing haven't reported back so either they've fallen asleep, or are too busy with AI mares to tell me the results implying it's workingI was hoping on more feedback first for quality (I dont use lmarena myself so have no idea what it's meant to be like usually) but fuck it, i'll post shortly once I figure out how to gatekeep properly. spitefags and locusts ruin everything

>>42770779Thanks.
>>42770743Sure, here's the latest recap I got. As you can see, the prompt doesn't always even need to be that complicated when doing it this way.And here's a lorebook. It's one I used earlier on in the story, but it has some better examples than my new one imo.https://litter.catbox.moe/a89umjpc1v8qbmns.json
>>42770795many thanks frenlorebook - basic premise is very factual as bullet points, where the other entries are rather verbose proseis that intentional, or just you made 'basic premise' where the others were auto suggested by that worldbuilder extension? what tends to work best for you?summary - without the accompanying chat it's difficult to tell how good it is. are the 'acts' part of the roleplay at all, or did it fabricate that when organizing the recap? and again this is all prose which is quite context heavy. is there a better method?
>>42770834The premise entry being more dry doesn't matter that much in my experience. It's only there as a reminder of plot points, the tone gets picked up from the actual chat context. That's also why I have the big recaps in the same prose style as the chat. The "acts" were invented by the model, I kept them cause they seemed sensible. For lower context, you can always ask for less words. Some of my recaps are shorter, it somewhat depends on the point I'm at in the story.
>>42770865>the tone gets picked up from the actual chat contextisn't most of that being omitted and offloaded to the lorebook/recap?but I guess that's why you need those in the same prose style etc so it can be picked up. well nuts i've been going full 'must reduce context!' autism mode with plist etc
>>42770878Well the way I see it, compressing 35k tokens to 1500 (+ lorebook) is more than good enough for me.
ive been using Basilik Universal preset for sonnet 4.5but it feels just eh. and any other JB rentry/maker seemingly just dropped making JBs for claude all together (understandably since that shit is rare). anything better though?
