Tips on buying merchandise directly from artists? Also I listen to all my music free, I feel I should probably give them some money but I don't want to give it to (((record labels))) or other assorted kikery, anyone mailed cash to their favorite artists? As someone who was there for this poll, let me recount the truthful history of it:
Early voting was unanimously anti-Hector (probably ~10 legitimate votes against him, with a few others going toward kpopfag, inherentlyfag, and anti-inherentlyfag). Upon seeing this, Hector spammed the poll with kpopfag votes, so kpopfag responded with some spam as well to keep it even, so the final result was this >>123102843

It's fun that metal is a matroskhya doll of various misfits and outcasts, you have your typical heavy metal beer drinking slobs and black metal elitists who shun anything not up to their autistic tastes and standards under the same umbrella. Not to mention metal is one of the few genres to accomodate the biggest current social taboo for normies, the seething over good musicians with crazy views will forever be entertaining. How in the world is it obscure? Even RYMplebs like it.
It stands out because of excellent god-tier songwriting, atmosphere and of course - Pytten.
In The Nightside Eclipse is almost on the par but fails to reach the heights of Anthems because Ihsahn wasn't very experienced songwriter back in 93 94.

Incorrect, they are only beginning to show their true worth. The layered vocal styling in Synarchy, Teitanblood, and Swallowed show off their latent orchestral potential. Harsh vocals are our choir and ideally in the future we ought to have 5 different vocalists who each add a different texture to a piece.

Yes, this is a like a simplified version in a more approachable and poppy fashion. Listen to Pendrecki's mastery of vocal layering on Utrenja:

They are. In the past they were either clean or poorly done, as metal advances refines itself the true worth of such ideas will present themselves in more intricate and interesting ways. Spiritually dead men such as yourself cannot see the future because yours has already ended.

Could not really "get" into any of these bands. I kinda liked Purple Hill Witch, but it seems to me just another band trying to ride on the psychedelia doom trend? I might still buy the Celestial Cemetary album by them as it seemed to have some good Sabbath style riff parts. For some reason the drums seem almost nonexistant/non-audible in the mix on this album? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtiEl51NHqA

I guess I'm still looking for recs... think of bands like Electric Wizard/Reverend Bizarre/Sleep/Black Sabbath...
bands that are laballed Stoner Doom metal "accidentally" without really going for that style, kinda like Sabbath is considered doom/proto-Stoner, but it was not really anything "intentional". I get the same feel from Reverend

Phil Tougas on his influences (direct quotation):
>We are strongly influenced by all types of extreme metal, 80’s power/heavy/neoclassical metal, Baroque/Romantic era classical music, video game soundtracks, flamenco, etc. From Crimson Glory, Joey Tafolla and Apocrypha to Spawn of Possession, Martyr, Bach, Paganini, Paco De Lucia and F-ZERO X songs

Phil Tougas on how First Fragment changed over time (direct quotation)
>hearing some of these guitarists implement classical guitars kind of got my interested... this band Warlord mentioned his influences being Bach, Paco De Lucia, etc.. It made me appreciate these composers. The more time went on, the more these influences became apparent... Gloire Eternelle is the culmination of cultivating a rich ensemble of influences

Phil "Shredgod" Tougas on his favorite person composition (direct quotation):
>My personal favorite composition of mine aside from Solus is In'el

Phil Tougas on christian metal (direct quotation)
>80’s Christian heavy/power metal is heavier and better than most satanic extreme metal bands.

Phil Tougas about the early flamenco metal scene in Montreal, Quebec (direct quotation):
>Turns out that, pretty much everybody were so-called "wankers", they were pro-shred, they were Bach fans, we cultivated this rich ensemble of influences
