There’s a significant difference in tone when going from say a heavy gain vintage paf to a lower gain high output humbucker like a JB. Rolling the volume off effectively makes those hotter pickups lower output anyway.

A lot of times you’ll be gripping the neck with your thumb instead of your palm. Idk I can play either just fine but for me doing fast legato with long stretches it’s hard to get that classical thumb position right without hyper extending my hand wrist on thicker necks. And I’ve got very large hands so it has to be worst for handlets. I really like charvel necks and think they’re just about perfect for everything. They’re just thinner than a standard PRS neck by a tenth of an inch at the nut and 2/10ths of an inch at the 12th fret. Go fuck yourself homeboy.
>>129268360Also read this faggot:https://forums.prsguitars.com/threads/pattern-thin-vs-60%E2%80%99s-slim-necks.52663/There are tons of posts on the internet saying they’re comparable. I’ve owned and played both. They are fairly close. I didn’t say they’re EXACTLY the same. You’re the only one here who is bullshitting and doesn’t know what they’re taking about.
Guys, MusicMan is the most comfortable neck isn’t it
There are no guitars for me. I want something with an HSS configuration and with a vibrato arm. Ideally it should also offer a pre-installed coil split for the humbucker and a bigger neck radius (no 9,5 inch stuff).I looked, but can't find anything. I got burned on the Sire S7FM. The Fender Player II Modified has a 9,5 inch radius.
>>129268734>I'm this prissy about guitarsMaybe take up the skin flute.
Still thinking about a Revstar but the p90s sound so much better to mehttps://www.youtube.com/shorts/bDOq5-pRmg0

What is a voicing
>>129268767if you go by gold and silver prices they're not
This one's from the Epiphone Custom Shop in Wuhan, formerly the covid virus lab. Really increases the collectibilty.
>>129268798voicing is how place notes together(a chord), take the C chord(C-E-G) a different voicing can be(E-G-C).
>>129268734Dude anybody can swap a neck.Buy a HSS loaded body from ebay or reverb and get a 12inch neck off fenders site or something. It would probably be less than buying a player 12 modified new.
>>129268481>guitar fetishWhat if the reason their stuff is so cheap is because they came on it all.

Hey. So. Who has actually made it through all 32.5 hrs of Scotty West's Git Gud series? Check in if you have...where you bitches at with your progress? I have to start over from scratch. It's been too long in between my watching episodes and I remember nothing...
>>129269378I watched the first 7 and realized I already knew all of this shit so stopped
if the headstock said either squier or fender, which one is more likely to get stolen?
>>129269397I did eight. But that's actually when things started to ramp up in difficulty and importance. The first 7 to 8 are kinda masturbation level if you know some things on guitar already. You may wish to start on 8 again and see if I'm full of shit or not.
>>129269437niggers can’t read so it’s equal probability
>>129269437Keep your guitar on your body or somewhere locked
>>129269201>uninteresting budget friendly guitar brand guitar did not sell well against other budget friendly guitar brand guitarsSeems a lot like a major self own to me.
>>129260689I tried a tube screamer (basically an SD-1) after the BD-2 but before the orange. I don't like it, the EP Booster is better in this as a boost when the amp is providing overdrive already.
>>129269452I skimmed the rest but I’ll check one more time if it makes you feel better. I’ve been playing bass for 5 years so I’ve already done extensive dives on sight reading and harmony/theory
I'm crazy about mustangs, it's like a compact strat
>>129269598>Mount falls off the wall
>>129269579Awe thanks man, you'd do that for me??? I'm going to refocus and try again here. I may go back and start at episode 6 though. I do watch the vids at 1.25x though too. It's still doable to follow along with and the time savings add up knocking off about 15 minutes at regular speed per video. Good job on your site reading git-bro. I can only do melody well. Site reading chords fucks me up to a snails pace. So frustrating actually.
>>129269643it gets easier once you look at the key signature in the staff and realize there’s only a handful of progressions. almost nobody is sight reading new material at tempo
>>129269623*SMASH*
>>129269677Okay great advice, thanks! I'll try and focus on this going forth here. Appreciated!
>>129269570That's fair, but I use the clean channel on my amp. If you're relying on the orange OD anyway and that's integral to your sound, that makes sense.

>>129269738I’m not sure if that’s sarcasm but I was just saying don’t be so hard on yourself. sight reading professionally is more for remembering stuff you already have played before or at least half know how to play already. orchestra musicians really only rotate a dozen or so pieces in their career and they spend months working on the piece
>>129269825>orchestra musicians really only rotate a dozen or so pieces in their careerthat's so silly and sad
>>129269836to be fair they are quite long and complex
>>129269836>that's so silly and sadyou can't say that bro, you'd pop their ego
>>129269836should clarify when I meant rotate they’ll usually pick up a new setlist every year or half year. so you’ve got half a year to sight read 10 or so pieces
>>129269863you said in their career though
>>129269598I think it sits right in the middle of strat and tele. Neck + bridge sounds like a tele, but with strat-like pickups and form factor.
>>129269869yeah I misspoke, my bad
>>129269333Because MIAs aren't worth the price anymore.
>>129268816>a different voicing can be(E-G-C).But isn't it the same chord unless the root note changes?
>>129269970what do you mean "but"a different voicing doesn't mean a different chordit means the same chord with differently arranged notes
>>129269825No, not sarc. Genuinely need/want to break through that obstacle. It's something that is messing me up and making me give up causing me to revert to tabs which are easy and comfy. Turns into a big circle over and over...
>>129269990>differently arranged notesOk so it's the same chord but why not just call it a C chord why differentiate it as a voicing for C?
>>129269970I think it’s split on whether people consider inversions voicings but an inversion drastically changes the harmonic function of the chords. to me a voicing just changes the feel or adds movement to the harmony without changing its structure
>the people who want to talk about theory are mouth-drooling retards/gg/ should stick to talking about guitar finishes and what the badge says on the cloth

>>129270163I'd vote for all high energy/rock bands. The more energy to your musical tastes, the better. You have to come in juiced up like a kid high on sugar. Otherwise the cow guts and wife will rip you apart. Your sanity armor is your music. My first real bought audio tape (and replaced by CD) back in the day was from Billy Squire... His best-known songs include "The Stroke", "Lonely Is the Night", "My Kinda Lover", "In the Dark", "Rock Me Tonite", "Everybody Wants You", "Emotions in Motion", "Love Is the Hero", and "Don't Say You Love Me". Squier's best-selling album, 1981's Don't Say No, is considered a landmark release of arena rock, bridging the gap between power pop and hard rock. Anyhow, find musicians like this...this is the shit that will get you through a divorce or a cow truck full of shit and guts flipping over on the highway on the way to work.

>>129270282Master-BATEBut it's good music. I used to not really appreciate it until I get older. But now, it's a staple. Like the Black Crowes, AC/DC, CCR, Aerosmith, S.R.V., I could go on and on...etc...Certain musicians and bands have this iconic influence on guitar music. He's one of them but he gets mostly shade thrown in his direction.
