New track from today. I tried turning my bass up but it might be too loud. I didnt want it drowned out by the other stuff. Everything besides the acoustic guitar is me.
>>
>>129262201
I can recommend it. But make sure your playback system is decent as well. Initially bought it thinking I could use it for late night playing with just the QC>Sony MDR or my shitty pc speakers but it sounds so shite and toy like going through those. Ended up permanently attached via 4 cable method with my amplifier and used as an audio interface for my pc

I’ve had a $450 Eastman, a 60s yamaha red label, a Gibson studio walnut j45, a yairi dym70, and an Adirondack hd28 and I’ve played hundreds of vintage acoustics when I did repair work. there are some good sound cheap acoustics out there but it’s really not as common as you would think to have a great acoustic. a great acoustic has even bass and projection across the registers, a very smooth and appealing chorus in the resonance chamber, great headroom before it compresses, and won’t lose any power when you use a capo. very few acoustics can do all that

Is there a specific reason most singer/songwriters don't use an electric guitar over an acoustic?
Is it because it's hard to keep time with an electric if you don't just strum constantly?

Lower output pickups don’t saturate as much and you don’t get as much sustain or as many harmonics. There’s a significant difference in tone when going from say a heavy gain vintage paf to a lower gain high output humbucker like a JB. Rolling the volume off effectively makes those hotter pickups lower output anyway.

Pattern thin neck is still nowhere near as thin as a charvel or Ibanez. It’s like a 60s Les Paul neck. Like I said if you’re doing lots of huge stretches with legato it can be a bear and harder to play standing up. No they’re not a knock offs I’ve owned several custom 24’s and mccarty’s.

Can be worse for tendinitis and carpal tunnel tunnel due to less support in your palm. Less comfortable for chords and thumb over stuff. A lot of times you’ll be gripping the neck with your thumb instead of your palm. Idk I can play either just fine but for me doing fast legato with long stretches it’s hard to get that classical thumb position right without hyper extending my hand wrist on thicker necks. And I’ve got very large hands so it has to be worst for handlets. I really like charvel necks and think they’re just about perfect for everything. But I also don’t mind vintage Gibson or whatever either.

That's true - it's just that those stoppieces look "cheap" and generic to me. I think I'll replace it, if I get the thing, with a different tailpiece, just to make it "mine", you know? Because I definitely don't want to deal with a normal jag trem - those things can be a nightmare
>>
>>129267641
Point out where I said pattern thin was thinner than an ibanez or charvel (you cant, retard). Pattern thin is thinner than a 60s slim taper neck. Most mccartys dont have the pattern thin neck and you are lying about owning multiple PRSs.

Um well not every fucking PRS comes with a pattern thin and I never said every one I’ve owned has had one. And no I’m not lying retard. I’ve been playing guitar for 30 years and have owned quite a few guitars in that time. Also the entire point was you saying gahhh ACTUALLY they’re thin when in reality they’re not. They’re just thinner than a standard PRS neck by a tenth of an inch at the nut and 2/10ths of an inch at the 12th fret. Go fuck yourself homeboy.

There are no guitars for me. I want something with an HSS configuration and with a vibrato arm. Ideally it should also offer a pre-installed coil split for the humbucker and a bigger neck radius (no 9,5 inch stuff).
I looked, but can't find anything. I got burned on the Sire S7FM. The Fender Player II Modified has a 9,5 inch radius.

I’m not sure if that’s sarcasm but I was just saying don’t be so hard on yourself. sight reading professionally is more for remembering stuff you already have played before or at least half know how to play already. orchestra musicians really only rotate a dozen or so pieces in their career and they spend months working on the piece

Ok so it's the same chord but why not just call it a C chord why differentiate it as a voicing for C?

>>129269970
I think it’s split on whether people consider inversions voicings but an inversion drastically changes the harmonic function of the chords. to me a voicing just changes the feel or adds movement to the harmony without changing its structure

I'd vote for all high energy/rock bands. The more energy to your musical tastes, the better. You have to come in juiced up like a kid high on sugar. Otherwise the cow guts and wife will rip you apart. Your sanity armor is your music.

My first real bought audio tape (and replaced by CD) back in the day was from Billy Squire...

His best-known songs include "The Stroke", "Lonely Is the Night", "My Kinda Lover", "In the Dark", "Rock Me Tonite", "Everybody Wants You", "Emotions in Motion", "Love Is the Hero", and "Don't Say You Love Me". Squier's best-selling album, 1981's Don't Say No, is considered a landmark release of arena rock, bridging the gap between power pop and hard rock.

Anyhow, find musicians like this...this is the shit that will get you through a divorce or a cow truck full of shit and guts flipping over on the highway on the way to work.

But it's good music. I used to not really appreciate it until I get older. But now, it's a staple. Like the Black Crowes, AC/DC, CCR, Aerosmith, S.R.V., I could go on and on...etc...Certain musicians and bands have this iconic influence on guitar music.
