Looking at buying a Honda? Post here and we'll tell you our elitist asshole opinions!
Need help identifying a chassis?

How are the current gen Civic (and other Honda) hybrids vs the Toyota hybrids like the Camry, Prius, Corolla, etc? My one and only focus is reliability.
>>
>>28110999
A lot of em are similar technology, a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine with a battery and hybrid motor helping it along for that smooth stop start, Toyota loves their 2.5L 4 cylinder on the Camry, the 2 liter engine on the Corolla and Prius, and Honda loves their K20C engine with the hybrid setup on their cars

I'd personally be driving an Accord hybrid Touring if I had money because it's fucking sick

>Accord hybrid Touring
Just watched some videos about it, it does seem really nice, maybe nicer than the comparable Camrys. I can't believe it doesn't have a spare tire though, just a patch kit- that's insane. I've used my donut on many occasions, that would have sucked to have possibly been stranded all those times.
>>

Yeah it's really stupid that new cars, even expensive ones are cutting out the spare tire likely to save weight, I think Hondas have gotten too thicc for their own good, to the point where they're having to cut out shit people want, like having a Honda Accord that you can load up with 17.1 gallons of gas and passengers and cargo with spare tire just in case, and do what you need to do, but by cutting the size of the fuel tank down to 12.8 gal, and deleting the spare tire, Honda can basically shave off over 50 lbs for free, and they had to do it due to regulations and safety stuff the car needs to have on it which added weight.

>$61,000 USD
>Almost 3x the price of a 2021 WRX STI
>DOUBLE the price of a BRAND NEW 2025 Elantra N
>More expensive than a 2024 Nissan Z Nismo
>Around the same price as a 2022 BMW M3 Competition

This is diabolical man.

>23 model and it's still fucking sitting
Whoever's the GM of that stealership is gonna get their ass fucking fired, You lose so much money when you take in new inventory which costs money, and then devalue it by not selling it because you wanna do markups.

Lol I was OTD @ $47k.
I paid MSRP for both US gens. It requires a willingness to travel. Greedy stealerships are fucking ruining it though.

Based traveler, a lot of people tend to forget that dealers have nothing to do with Honda itself and it makes sense to just road trip it home instead of paying $5000 or more for markup.

How are EP3s? Anything I should look or watch out for? Just want something mildly exciting to drive around and always liked the design of these

Crosspost from the show your car thread- crious if you guys have any suggested maintenance I have missed, I'm relatively new t this stuff. In the last five years I did the oil changes, replaced the brakes (new rotors/pads), all new hoses & belts, all new fluids & filters for everything, new spark plugs, replaced a bad wheel bearing, replaced the engine mounts, did the valve cover gasket, put in a new water pump and temp gauge, cleaned the throttle body, got new tires, and put in a new battery and gas cap. Basically this has been my education in car maintenance, I had never done so much as an air filter change before. Now she's got power steering whine, topping off the fluid makes it go away temporarily but it returns quickly. I don't see a leak anywhere, now I've ordered new O-rings for the high/low side, supposedly that might be the issue. 165k miles, been in four accidents (it was my younger sister's car back in the day), one of which bent the frame so much that the AC condenser is toast and can't be replaced without fixing the frame (not gonna do that). Curious how long I can keep her running. Anticipated future jobs: timing chain, suspension.
Thanks for reading my blog

You're doing quite well on maintenance Anon, keeping up on fluids and filters is what these cars love, as well as a new timing belt water pump job every 100,000 miles, thats unfortunate about the A/C system but that's a car that would last a long time if you just fix it when it needs something instead of ignoring it and watching the car fall into disrepair like so many Civics do.

Yeah, the hatches definitely do look different. I don’t even necessarily think it’s a bad thing, I love me CR3, but I think the price just feels insulting. I really wanted a new Si but that’s a financial mistake I can’t afford to make. I could get the cleanest EM1 this side of the Mississippi for half of what a new Si cost. I don’t see this working out for Honder.

It’s very choice. Highly recommend
