I got around to doing the governor and pressure sensor in the zj, and everything about it was weird. The inside of the pan was painted and there was no magnet. Parts of the pan were hydrophobic and the fluid kind of separated into grey cloudy looking shit around that area. Because there was no magnet the filter on the sensor was plugged and I'm sure if I was any more pragmatic I could re use it. Should I go back with a deep pan or do they even make one?

We had a nasty snow storm come through here a bit over a month ago. I was wanting to hold off putting some tires on my winter farm truck daily driver until my next oil change, but they were getting pretty bald. Threw some new e-bay mud tires at it the night before the snow hit (hi country if I remember right). Glad I did. That thing clawed through 2' of snow and a ridiculous amount of sloppy mud for 2 weeks before it dried up enough to not be a goddamn mess. Never got stuck once somehow. I was feeding my cows in an old open field and almost couldn't even get around with my loader I was feeding with. It was an absolute sloppy fucking mess, worse I've ever seen for this area. The snow was super heavy and wet and the ground hadn't properly frozen yet, so every bit of that moisture went into the ground. There were a ton of haysheds in the area that collapsed from the weight and amount of snow on them. It was kinda wild. The only ones I've bought that were kinda shitty were centennial dirt commanders Toward the end of their life when they were almost bald I started getting a ton of sidewall leaks. Probably a shitty batch. I have a tire machine and repair all my own tires so I still made them last, but it was a bit annoying.
