i see 10 of these "trucks" every day
congrats, i guess
>>
>>28199709
It's a body on frame 4x4 with a 5' bed. That's a truck by every definition.
>>
>>28199604
Didn’t have time to install it, instantly got my diesel swap running and then drove it 400 miles to desth valley to visit my friends at the cabin
Takes the same amount of time to install it on the trail or in my garage so it don’t matta
May I see your truck by the way?
Something tells me a bitch ass like you doesn’t even have one
>>
>>28199765
Trucks don't have less than 8 lugs and certainly aren't powered by minivan engines. Cute Barbie toy tho.

It's not even in the lineup for 2025 OP

>minivan engine
(You) realize the first pentastars where in the Grand Cherokee, right? What am I asking, of course you don't.
>>
>>28199906
A Grand Cherokee is more or less a minivan so it's a fitting engine. I'm not too sure what you were going for with that one but better luck next time.

I've been in analysis paralysis about how big I want the tyres on a Wrangler I bought, 31", 33", or 35" , I've been waiting for some used wheels to force my decision but my local used market is shit so I haven't found anything. it will only be used offroad
>>
>>28199766
Just filled up after 400 miles of city driving and a shit ton of off roading, 28.5mpg

Blew out my rear tire and fucked the other side in the process 31" muddies do fit but I have to space the rear blade it's out towards the rear and cut the guards plus run huge 35mm spacers and shit but will be a huge upgrade over 28"

Weird.
I could have sworn you said you got it running then just took it for a joyride all night.
Not to mention you went for a 5 hour trip but were in such a rush that you didn't have 10 minutes to throw in the driveshaft?
That's 100% drug induced mentaliy

God hates California, land of the sodomite damned! The fag-infested land of California is burning. The fire of God's wrath is sending hundreds of those filthy Californian beasts straight to hell! We at Westboro Baptist Church are rejoicing, and we are praying that the dear Lord would burn many more Californians alive!

He's a tripfag, there is no thought process other than "look at me I'm special"
>>
>>28200471
I didn’t even have the front drive shaft made at that point
I made it myself, you can see the welds on it in the pic near the double cardan joint
I made the rear first because that one is actually needed and the front one isn’t, may I see your truck now lol
>>
>>28200912
How did you balance it? I think my rear driveshaft is out of balance.
>>
>>28200939
I didn’t balance it, I didn’t have time to have it balanced which is another reason I didn’t put it in
It’s a game of luck when it comes to that, I put it in while off roading and left it in and it doesn’t seem to be vibrating noticeably at freeway speeds so I guess I got lucky
All the shops say a week or more to get shit balanced and 200 dollars, I didn’t have time for that
>>
>>28200912
So you had time to make a driveshaft but not 5 minutes to install it?
Or did you make it at camp out in death valley?
>>
>>28201010
I removed it after I made it to get it balanced but every shop said weeks of wait time, so I just threw it into the back of the jeep and said I’ll install it if I end up needing it
I made it entirely to the cabin without the drive shaft, I only needed it because I went further on the trail up to the mines around the cabin which are much more technical trails than the one that only goes to the cabin
I could have gotten away with never installing it at all if I just hung out at the cabin the entire time but I wanted to explore more and visit the mines in the area
The truck had absolutely no problem reaching the cabin without the front shaft as I have 33s and a locker in the back and those alone can do a lot of work

Probably the most based vehicle in these threads, definitely the most capable and best looking
Jeep is the only company that still makes a true off road vehicle, everyone else cucked out, even the new g wagon ditched the solid front axle for IFS

I've shortened several driveshafts and Just made sure I clocked them exactly as they were and got runout down to minimal with a dial indicator in some v blocks (or bolted up between the transfercase and front axle) and then tacked a spot and re-checked until I had them tacked in 3-4 spots around the tube and it was still running true. Then welded em up.

Pic rel is one I made for a 99 ford explorer with the 5.0 and AWD. Took an older longer ranger double cardan front driveshaft and made it work because I got tired of rebuilding the damn CV joint on the front driveshaft of the explorer... Did another for a 99 F-350 because it has a manual transmission and the front shaft for them was like $500 or 800 vs the $150ish for one that had an auto transmission. Fuck it, guess I'll shorten one and make it work!
>>
Got stuck in the same fucking spot on the beach this time in low tide
Entrance was all cut up so I gunned it coming out and smashed my radiator again time for a skid plate finally will take photos

Prop tip you can unbend your intercoolers and radiators with ratchet straps around a pole lol
