no it's AC most mods are fantasy and many of them you can already weed out with the analyze button in CM that shows you some of the bits from kunos cars they have reused (the b_sk mod has front suspension from a gallardo for example) or just by looking at the specs (compare the power curve with a real dyno pull one it's always funny)
tires are always fantasy because it's AC most mods effectively have semislicks even if they say they don't

AC is more fun when you know it's not a sim and just drive NFS tier arcade cars

My tips to make your cars look better, without a lot of effort:

-Use layers when placing fixtures. This way you can blend the lights and grilles or pieces of trim in a much better way. Also allows for more custom lights/grilles
-Position the camera further from the car, then zoom in.
-Turn on ray tracing when taking a photo (since it makes your game run worse, I position the camera with it off, then turn it on to take the picture)

Prefer using 3D fixtures for custom grills and lights for clipping and stacking, but I cocked up and forgot to do it on the lower grill. Been using description commands, but they are so fucky so its rarely worth doing any bodywork once scripted.
But hey, anything that should move here actually works, including the gear number. Aside for the boost gauge. And the gear stick. And the clock. And the ABS light is always on.
