Do i really need to wear the full armored gear all the time? I wanted to buy myself a honda cb300r to commute around the city, not exceeding 30-35mph, but i'm being filtered by that all gear all the time reddit faggotry. They all seem to wear their full suits even for 10-minute commutes. The helmet is a must where I live, and gloves seem sensible to wear, but I fucking wouldn't wear this full chinese plastic funko pop garbage just to go and eat something at a restaurant. If you wanna be a cheapass for daily riding, run a michellin road 5/6 in the front and a cheap dunlop gpr 300 or chinko in the rear. You lose grip in the front, you're fucked, you lose grip in the rear, you have a giggle. The michellin will handle all the slick, cold, and other fucking trash on the road right off the bat, and since the rear was cheap korean rubber, you wont care if it squares off from commuting. Come summer I switch out to some proper summer tires and save the ride for the weekend, and take out the cage for the AC.
