I made a service appointment earlier this month for the 18th for valves. Dropped the bike off that date. They still aren't done with it. Earliest it seems I can get it is Thursday.

Well you called them already.

If you're too nice they'll sit on it for months.
That or be a really cool dude that throws money around like candy.
They also legitimately might be waiting for parts

ok bros im a noob rider probably under 200 miles.

whe i stall my crf450rl it doesn't want to start up again for some reason like the dash lite to start comes on but it just wont. if i wait before i try the light goes off and then it also doesnt work what am i doing wrong bros it usally takes 3-4 times before itll starty
>>
>>28689623
I tell them it's my only transportation to and from work, and ask if they can expedite my service order. If they can't, I just tell them I'll take it somewhere else. Either they do it, or I take it somewhere else.

>>
>>28689772
>>28689772
Today it was around the 40s and I wore 4 layers on the top and just jeans for the bottom, wearing knee high socks and leather boots. The 4 layers are, base later cotton shirt sleeve t shirt, then a light cotton twill weave long sleeve sweater, and then a thick heavy duck weave sweater, and finally an insulated nylon outer jacket that has a goretex like membrane. None of it is motorcycle gear, the shirts and sweaters are standard Old Navy stuff and the jacket is REI. With that said, cold hands is the easiest way to ruin a ride, so I'd say good gloves are as important, unfortunately motorcycle specific riding gloves don't come with enough insulation for real cold weather, so under 40f I use insulated nylon mitts that have a goretex membrane in them, mitts are so much better than gloves in real cold, give them a try

>>
>>28689795
i see
my main issue right now is the cold wind hitting the gap between my scarf and my helmet, i already ordered one of those thin balaclava type things and hopefully that will fix it
its hovering between 5 - 10 C (40 to 50 F) during the morning and i cant really cope with it due to the neck being partially exposed
>mitts are so much better than gloves in real cold, give them a try
i have some super thick winter gloves that are not at all made for motorcycling but they mostly get the job done, i may try putting some welding gloves on top of them to protect from the wind too but i will keep mittens in mind

So I'm in 3rd gear on my carbed softtail and I think to myself "Okay fuck it I want to crank this thing and take off" and twist the throttle pretty hard but instead of taking off hard it kinda sputters for a second like it's choking on gas and then takes off in an average mostly unimpressive way.

>for some reason

Picture the kind of shit that has to be bodged onto a bike worth $1000. Most of the advantages modern tech has offered like electric starters is added because these things are now made at scale and adding it is cheap. There's a reason a kick-started japanese bike from 40 years ago still has better quality than an electric-start indian shitbike today.

Every one of these bike are shit because they know the people who buy them are one generation removed from shitting out in the brush and fleeing wild tigers and thus don't know any better. It's the future the governments of the world want for us, but they can't just make our lives third world overnight lest their heads roll.

I replied to you last thread and based on your last addition, you have flooded your engine
Just clutch in, throttle a few times, clutch clutch, go open your choke, try and fire it up again
If its not high idle you didnt open the choke, do that for like 2-3 mins and then ride like itallian stallion
Dont use shitty fuel, run seafoam next refill, good to go
>>
>>28690668
Depends how you ride down said trail. Bombing down some hard packed twin track and breaking the rear loose on a 90 degree turn? Sure. Doing stupid stunts down in a dried up flood plain where you pop up rhe edge and catch some air? Probably not. The KLE is probably going to cost more when you overestimate how hard a patch of dirt is packed down and eat shit on a turn as well.

I have started building my ramp. It is going to be great. Solid, light and as wide as the door so I can use the full doorway while manouvering into the house.

Last time I used my narrow ramp the bike fell off, it slid and I snapped the brake lever.

I basically use first gear and the clutch to keep it in position while permitting some movement. With a long wide ramp it should be much easier.

I'll be adding nogs to the joists tomorrow once I am at door height. Then the diagonal beams, struts and then chipboard on top. Wish me luck :)

Probably just fine, but realistically no. It's not an offroad bike.
>>28690680
You mostly ride on roads anyway, I'd argue the kle is a better fit for both of you. However, know that it too will struggle on the road. Just like the cb500x does, it's cool for commuting but not for hard core pavement pounding. It's also going to be shittier offroad, though some d606s may help. It's basically the kawasaki cb500x.

Do you guys ever think about all the undesirables on the roads nowadays making riding even more dangerous than it was before they came here? I just drove through this stroad and saw police sirens, an SUV with 2 beaner teenage girls outside of it, a crashed, knocked over motorcycle, and an ambulance, presumably with the rider inside as I didn't see him. I can't blame them 100% because it seems Gen Z in general are just retarded drivers. You get a drivers license now by just not falling asleep during the written, and if you speak spanish, you can simply ask for additional assistance in completing the test and they give it to you.

And this gives you the right to drive any kind of vehicle up to Dump Trucks, we don't have consumer license tiers like other countries which would make the road MUCH SAFER.

It's a fucked system, I swear. Better invite a billion more Pajeets and Pacos in.

>>28690840
It's funny because indians have some of the best motorbike riders in the world. They start them out at age 4 riding scooters on some of the most do-or-die streets on Planet Earth which, if any of them had cameras, would make Chinese traffic liveleaks look like preschool television programming.

It's just they can't make the jump to driving full-sized automobiles because it's not like that's a required skill in their country or is even permitted without having worked there as a specialized high-caste driver. Many of them only rode little 250cc bike their entire lives, come over with their motorbike permits, and get put in charge of 30 ton lorries within a month. And the absolute State of California just turns a blind eye to it because they would effectively have no shipping industry if they didn't allow it.

And you know the funniest shit?
When any of them publicly fuck up, there are millions of other jeets protesting and writing to support their fellow caste regardless of how badly they fucked up. Like this guy. 2.6Million Rahjeeds and Sanreets wrote in to insist he serve no jailtime for killing a family of 5 when he couldn't read basic street signs on is cross-examination. Jeets literally think it's their given right to simply kill every other race as long as they get money for it.

>If convicted, the petition requests that Singh receive a "proportionate and reasonable" sentence, that parole eligibility be granted after part of his sentence is served and that alternatives to incarceration — like counseling or community service — be considered.
This guy killed four people by trying to use an emergency vehicle U-Turn lane with his Lorry in the middle of the interstate that is labeled 2-3 times as being for service vehicles only and No U-turn permitted. None of the signs he could read when questioned btw. If he had killed anyone in this thread the nation of Pajeet would be writing petitions that you deserved it and will be reincarnated as a cow to compensate.

Not that big but I have built it now and I would be disappointed with myself if I didn't finish it and it wasn't as strong as possible. Also my steps are a bit of a strange shape as I think the original doorstep wore out and some later owner built new ones with no particular plan and paid little attention to fitting an ungainly motorcycle through the door.
>>

Yeah I also rarely go past 60. It's also pretty hilly here so if there's both wind and an incline I only get 55mph maxing it out. I haven't ridden a motorcycle in weeks though and even going 40 felt super fun and heart pumping, going 70 felt like I was going 160. The engine can handle maxing it out just fine though I'm sure if you just change oil more frequently. Honda Groms are often ridden completely maxed out and the engines are similar.

Fair enough, just be sure to use a level and measuring tape to make sure they're evenly spaced and level. As best as they can be with the original stairs being the way they are.

Most of my riding is just jacket, gloves, helmet. The most fiddly part is strapping on my shoulder holster. IWB is way more comfortable, but I'm too paranoid of my pistol falling out since there's no positive retention on my regular walking around holster.

getting the same thing here in the states, people will come in illegally in caravans and be given a driver's license by sanctuary states who are forbidden by law from asking about any person's nationality or citizenry. this is done in hopes that they vote illegally for the team who keeps opening the door for them

what’s good klxbros
it won’t be as good and as another guy said it’ll be expensive if you crash yours
400+ pounds and way less travel and clearance by the looks.
But for easygoing trails and a little rough stuff occasionally it’s probably gonna be great
That said I’m pretty sure I’m gonna redeem me a 390 enduro

I do get off some, but it's a real catch-22 because getting to anywhere good to ride off road is a 30+ minute ride on one lane each way highways where I literally get passed by semi trucks uphill at full throttle on the KLX. On top of that a lot of the places worth going are not just 50+mi from me but also 30+mi from the nearest gas, which doesn't leave me a lot of safety margin. The KLE may not be a 1000mi a day touring monster but it should be able to hold 75-80 on those highways, be comfortable enough to do a few hours each way on them (hell I've done 3+ hour rides on the KLX so I ought to be able to handle double that on the KLE if it's not all at once, i.e. going to Portland and back which is 3 hours each way), and have the range to connect the gas stations in the more remote areas or have enough to do a decent amount of gravel/easy trail riding.
>>
>>28690877
Reliability is just too sketchy for me on the 390 Enduro. Dork in the Road's was already leaking oil when I was at his campout last month. Also the range sucks as bad as the KLS's does.

When the borders were completely opened up during the Biden administration it was a thing that people from Africa, India, what other third world hellholes would get flown into Mexico to then cross the southern border. We weren't even just getting beaners, we were also getting jeets and babatundaes. The 2 African guys who raped a teenage girl in Utah, they were illegal immigrants who came in under Biden. The Indian truck driver who just killed 3, illegal who came under Biden.
>>
>>28690865
My shoulder rig is a vertical kydex snap-in with an added retention strap. The guy who made it tried to talk me out of adding the strap, but I wanted as much piece of mind as possible. I don't want to be backtracking possibly hundreds of miles looking for a gun on the highway.

California has a strict "No white people" migration policy. I am serious, here's a californian senator arguing that accepting less than 100 South African Boer migrants is akin to the holocaust
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/BULAfEyqpwE

If we started accepting poles and slavs who do this work for pennies, all of the usual (((suspects))) would be screaming just like this guy that they're not brown and uneducated enough.

It is their highest religious obligation to crush or be crushed under the wheels of a juggernaut. They have a whole mythology about it. It is why there is a wheel on their flag.
People have no idea how dangerous they are to have in your society.

There is a whole things with them where it has to be accidental. You can tell it is not because they always have one of their friends filming but by making it look like an accident it supposedly gives God the opportunity to change his mind. Before they respawn immediately at a higher level. It is why they never look.

>That's not actually true,
Oh yeah? How come William Simpson was writing about it in 1894 then? Wheel mythology dominates Indian religion and foreigners have been noticing and commenting for centuries. See for yourself:
https://archive.org/details/buddhistprayingw00simp

It is not just truck drivers deliberately mowing down motorcyclists. One of them recently downed a whole plane full of people by cutting off the fuel as it was taking off.

The point in this belief system is there is no need to pay any attention to other road users. It is in God's Hands. He spares you if He wants to. Knock you off and squash your legs this thin? He rolls on.
