>In 1999, a car carrying eight passengers approached a British army checkpoint in Pristina, Kosovo. Two of the Kosovars were sat on the roof and firing weapons into the air in violation of a ceasefire agreement. Three corporals from 1st Btn, the Parachute Regiment ordered them to stop the car and drop the guns, but after refusing and allegedly levelling an AK-47 at the soldiers, the Paras opened fire, killing two and wounding another two. One of the two wounded men, Mohamet Bici, was immediately flown to the United Kingdom with his cousin, Skender Bici, to receive healthcare treatment. Upon recovery, the cousins claimed asylum and received legal aid to sue the Ministry of Defence for £2.4 million.
Good article

>However, one lawyer was very open about having the opposite view, and bragged to journalists about what he saw as the opportunities that the ruling would open up. Phil Shiner told the press that he had at least twelve Iraqi clients he was hoping to represent in similar claims, and that his firm would employ a ‘twin-track’ strategy of bombarding the Ministry of Defence with ECHR claims on the one hand, and personal injury claims on the other.
>Shiner’s firm, Public Interest Lawyers, would become the driving force behind efforts to prosecute British soldiers in Iraq, providing 65% of the almost 3,400 allegations of abuse received by the Iraq Historic Allegations Team (IHAT). When asked by The Independent about his motivations, he referred to his Catholic upbringing and his belief that ‘at the heart of the British nation is still that horrible, exploitative, violent, colonial past’.

>The Good Friday Agreement gave amnesty to the hundreds of IRA terrorists, torturers, and kidnappers in British prisons, while secret ‘letters of comfort’ provided amnesty to the hundreds more still on the run. No such amnesty was given to British soldiers, who were hounded for such terrible war crimes as ambushing IRA assassins on the way to a hit. When the Sunak government attempted to extend that same amnesty to British veterans, they were challenged by the Irish government in the European Court of Human Rights, supported by none other than Joe Biden.
Britain's strategic threats aren't so much Russia and China but are, as ever, America and Ireland

It's pretty rough. I think it's important to remember that saying about never attributing to incompetence what should be contributed to malace.

The really standout point to me was that employer's NIC payments are being substantially increased, and the threshold lowered. Ostensibly this looks fine (and has been spun as "we're just taxing your employers, its le hecking good thing!"), but is in reality yet another clear attempt to restrict upward mobility through making it more difficult to set up your own business. Similarly, stamp duty on second homes/buy to lets/"investment" real estates has been almost doubled (and the threshold still not increased despite inflation being out the arse for the last 4 years), and capital gains taxes have been increased to 18% at the lower threshold and 24% on the higher.

I think they're fucking with inheritance taxes too, but it doesnt affect me at all so I didn't bother reading that part of the red book.

Also, its very likely that petrol/diesel cars are going to be subject to more tax. Theres a very nebulous thing in there about "widening the differential on duties between EVs/hybrids and the combustion engine" (roughly paraphrasing), but if they were planning on lowering taxes on EVs they'd literally just state that outright because many people would see it as a positive--at worst, theyd be indifferent. This means that it's likely they're going to increase taxes on non electric vehicles soon.

Also, i found it telling that they kept parading this notion of not having had a "proper review" since 2021. To me, this seems to be a signal that this budget is just there to prime the hole, and the real assfucking comes next year. This one is pretty bad (will absolutely lead to real term inflation--not the bullshit figures they put out, i mean you will literally be paying more for inelastic goods and consumables whilst they act like they fixed things somehow), but there's still far to fall.

Starmer said on 12th September:
>“The NHS is at a fork in the road and we have a choice about how it should meet those demands. Don’t act and leave it to die, raise taxes on working people or reform to secure its future […] we have to fix the plumbing before turning on the taps. So hear me when I say this. No more money without reform.

Today, Reeves has announced a £22.6 billion increase in day-to-day NHS spending. More than the“black-hole” Labour claim they inherited.

>I wonder if the coming inflation spike will really drive home to many people that we are a truly poor country
It's possible. Anecdotally, quite a few of the people I know IRL have expressed desire to get out of the UK after the riots happened (not because they were anti riot or anything, just seemed to shock them awake on how shit things are and how the government really doesn't give a fuck if they live or die).
I think there's at least some subset of people who are genuinely incapable of accepting or comprehending just how bad things have gotten here economically, though. The kind of people who just show up to their shitty retail job while everything gets worse around them, they get paid less in exchange for more work in worse conditions, and never think to make a change. I think while some people are definitely realising now how fucked things are, this country as a whole is sleepwalking into the sea due to having an excess of people in the latter category (and importing millions who just don't know any better).

>No rises to employee NI, VAT, or income tax
>Employers NI rate to be increased by 1.2% to 15%. Secondary threshold reduced from £9,100 to £5,000, raising £25bn/yr
>Employment allowance raised from £5,000 to £10,500. Cx claims that 865k employers won't pay any NI at all as a result
>VAT on private school fees from January 2025. Business rates relief removes from private schools from April 2025. Cx says measures will raise over £9bn
>"Covid Corruption Commissioner" to be appointed shortly to recover public money
>Inherited pensions brought into inheritance tax from April 2027
>£3bn/yr for supporting Ukraine "for as long as it takes"
>From April 2026, the first £1 million of combined business and agricultural assets will continue to attract no inheritance tax at all, but for assets over £1 million, inheritance tax will apply with 50% relief, at an effective rate of 20%.

It's not really the bottom feeders, it's the cozy middle managers, upper working class types. Their bullshit overpaid job brought them up a few classes to just below middle class, so they've got it way better than they used to. So take a little from them and they're still winning, therefore society is still great!

It depends where people started. Those bullshit middle manager jobs, like agency jobs, is the deano class in a nutshell. They live a total fantasy. Middle class feel the pinch. It hasn't gutted them yet, but most people know things are spiralling.

Story as old as time. Even on a personal level you see as someone detaches themselves from others, they are brought back down at all costs.

Elysium is a good film, ironic though. It's angled at le evil elite class who live in a terraformed satellite in space feeding off industrial earth but when they're given access to elysium they fucking destroy it. The working class, drivable 70% of humans are just worthless and at best can maintain their own existence. The weight of civilisation is crippling humanity. But le epic capitalism means it's an advantage to some to have billions of mouths to feed.

I kinda gave up a few years ago and have been hiding just off the edge of their radatr, but they've zero'd in on me and are about to start making my life hell,

I wouldn't mind if there was work about, I can turn my hand to most things, the trouble is I'm getting on and can't do physical jobs 40hrs a week like I did when I was younger,

what I really object to is being blamed for the the state of the economy, I didn't Thatcherise the fuck out of everything, I didn't deindustrialise the country, I didn't let wogs flood in from abroad,

but somehow it's all my fault because I'm not doing some no existent job.

One thing people never address is that Black people will never ever be Swedes, they will never ever be Irish, English, French or any other nationalities that they try and claim because they have a passport.
Multiculturalism isn't about integration, because integration is impossible.
Multiculturalism is simply about the Succession of territory to another group of people, which is marketed as progressive and enriching, and the people coming in are usually Black.

This is what multiculturalism is, the repossession of your heritage, land and people and the monetisation of the importation of negros.

If you have not figured out why, then you have not been paying attention.

Elyisum doesn't make any sense, the world is a sprawling favela, super high population...yet nobody does anything productive, and those that do work aren't replaced by the plentiful robots. Healthcare is bad, but not bad enough to retard their obscene reproduction, yet there are super high tech health machines that the rich are just keeping for themselves, for some reason. They require no resources to run, no extra power, they just heal you immediately and the rich are just being heckin chuds for no reason. Also the station is delightfully multiracial because of course it is. Delacourt did nothing wrong and should have glassed whole areas of the planet into compliance.
Had some ok fight scenes though

it's called discretionary spending compression, all the pubs close because no one can afford to go for a pint, that sort of thing,

the country is in a death spiral because the people in charge have their well paid heads up their arses.

get Windows 10,

then use Classic Windows Shell to turn it back into Windows 7,

http://classicshell.net/

my Win 10 setup is as close to Win XP as I can get it, all the system_32 stuff is hidden in Win 10, you just need to activate it.

Military medical requirements are a joke. Google JSP-950.
Capita now runs the army and air force recruitment and its private insurance workers that judge you based on genetic factors and training investment risk(I am not trolling). The navy quietly took back control last year and all medical checks are in house now by their doctors at the CPC during recruitment who will sit with you and go through your entire medical history on a case by case basis. Not a coincidence recruitment went up after a 28% drop under Capita.

Most people in this situation won't be fit enough for service anyway and mental health restrictions is brutal. The actual guideline states only ONE major depressive episode is allowed on your medical record and it cannot last more than 12 months and any drugs for it cannot last for more than six months(not counting an additional six months of slowly removing them from your system). Depressive episodes that occur after the death of a close family member i.e parent, through extreme stress(unemployment, homelessness etc) should not be counted against a candidate. However recurrence of major episodes or prescriptions occassionally for the condition(s) will preclude service.

Any more and you are immediately PMU'ed(permanently medically unfit) across the entire military forever. However if you're already in the forces, you have unlimited help. The privilege of being in the gang.

The list is enormous. The standards are far too high when they have such a critical shortage of manpower as it is.
>>
>>486411371
That and still not enough infrastructure for EV use
>>
>>486411609
true actually, also you still have to wait like 30-40 minutes to charge a EV car right? takes 60 seconds to fill up a petrol engine

Genetic discoveries revealed this year after decades of studies show almost overnight changes to your inner workings at age 44 and age 64. The risk of serious problems now rises exponentially.

Indicating these are the ages when all past choices finally catch up with you.

>>486408456
Most people say 45. Others say 40.
Personally I'd say 50 if you keep fit but you do start to slow down considerably after 35 and its a lot more noticeable in your 40's.

For women though it's literally 30 for sexual value reasons.

>>486411609
