Thread for discussions about selfharm and mutual supportI only have one picture of Hooni saved so here it is again edition.>How are you doing today?>Any plans for today?>When was the last time you hurt yourself?>Why did you hurt yourself?>Is there anything bothering you right now?
>>79476117and the thread start thingy before I forget
>>79471362>seems like a very hard trick, but practice makes perfect.honestly, if i manage to push around the board without cracking my head open, I'll consider a great success > never had any besides ramensushi is the big thing people love, but I do not like. Strange coming from someone who's been into asia and dated only asians, but i just can't enjoy raw fish> don't really like kpop and definitely would not expect thatit's popular especially with people actually from asia, so doesn't really matter if it fits, it's what they want lol>I'll at least try to not make myself physically sick or infected or anythingthat's all any of us will ever ask is just be careful
>>79476117I feel like I messed up thread some how by missing something we usually post... But not sure what dropped off...

>>79476477> all /cut/ threadsthe sickest cut thread ever in the middle xD>How are you?I'm okay. Doing some work for project now. Gonna try to look at fish stuff in a little bit. Got distracted yesterday looking at skateboards xD but need to do one thing at a time> HL2 got an updates and lots of other cool stuff and I'm happyooh looked this up too and that's pretty cool. Been years since I touched half life, but running around the map you posted took me back.
>>79476603eheheh well all threads that video "cut" in the subject XP>work for projecton sunday ;<wel at least hope you like it >look at fishoh yes :>>looking at skateboardgonna buy any?>looked this up too and that's pretty coolYes :D>running around the map you posted took me back.^^
>>79476624>"cut" in the subjecti know still kinda amusing heh>wel at least hope you like itI can tolerate at least. Problem with biting off too much responsibility is you have to make sure you keep up with it. I'm taking breaks like now at least>oh yesnot quite the fish themselves yet, sadly they're last. Need to do the heater, pumps, light, etc.. Then get them>gonna buy any?probably soon, but trying to do research first. If i'm gonna pushing around a board at high speeds over an asphalt lot i want to make sure I think through what I need to get first, but think i'll have an order ready soon. Finally gonna earn the right to wear my vans lol
I slept sixteen hours, woke up and went out to get a hamburger and then came home and slept another eight hours. Taking it easy. Feeling pretty decent still. Phenomena are still quite increased but aren't threatening or frightening. What is everyone up to today? I'm hoping to play a new videogame I got, it has a lot of accessibility features so I've been able to play a few hours here and there.
>>79477239hi anon>I slept sixteen hoursremember times I stayed up super long because of a long flight or something I'd crash like that super hard after. Hope you feel rested>get a hamburgernice. Feeling like a burger, but not gonna probably get one till my cheat day>What is everyone up to today? working a lot, maybe shopping, visiting family soon too>play a new videogamewhat game?
hey guys. hyped for stalker 2 release.every now and then I catch myself thinking and wishing how life would be if we got back together. but I have to stop myself immediately because it would never happen and its a bad move to do that anyway. still, it hurts so much. to my surprise I still haven't started cutting
>>79477278>hope you feel restedYeah! I also use a light therapy lamp during the fall and winter for an hour or so when I wake up and it helps me wake up a lot more.>working a lot, maybe shopping, visiting family soon tooHope work hasn't been too stressful. What're you shopping for? Just errand stuff or anything special? I hope visiting family is a good thing for you and you enjoy it when you visit. Do they live far? I know a lot of people travel during the holidays to see their families.>what game?I pirated Dragon Age Veilguard. I enjoyed the other entries in the series, and I'm liking it so far. I used to be able to play on the hardest difficulties, but my schizophrenia symptoms make it pretty hard to play games. Games are a really huge sensory experience and I already experience so much more stimuli than your average person, so getting my brain to work properly in conjunction with hand movements isn't an automatic process like it used to be. The game itself is getting review bombed pretty fucking hard which is kind of funny to me.
>>79476725>I'm taking breaks like now at leastthat's good you need rest sometimes >Need to do the heater, pumps, light, etc..do fish need a lot if stuff?>think i'll have an order ready soonyou can do research and stuff but the best way to see what you'd like is to get one and go from there :>>>79477239Hello :D>slept sixteen hoursthat's a ton! but you needed it after not sleeping for so long >Taking it easy. Feeling pretty decent glad to hear that you're improving :>>What is everyone up to today?just relaxing and play some half life>hoping to play a new videogame:Dwhat game??>>79477684Hiya :3>hyped for stalker 2 release.you're gonna play it?>but I have to stop myself immediatelyyeah that's probably a good choice >surprise I still haven't started cuttingnice ^^
>>79477684> stalker 2 release.never tried these but always they look good and like something I'd enjoy>wishing how life would be if we got back together. but I have to stop myself immediatelyhonestly, if things went off because of clash of personalities, very likely would end falling into the same again anyway for that alone, even if it made things good again for a bit>still haven't started cuttingthat's good and glad you're keeping off>>79477872>light therapy lamp during the fall and winter for an hour sounds pretty useful since waking up in darkness kinda throws me off a bit too> What're you shopping for?ended up buying a skateboard for one thing. Gonna get some more pieces i need for my fish tank. Did all my boring shopping the other day, so fun hobby stuff now xD>Do they live far?nah I'm about 12 minutes away. I'm not really close to my parents, but get along with my brother who lives with them still, so usually over just for that.>Dragon Age Veilguard. I enjoyed the other entries in the seriesah I loved dragon age as well, but never managed to beat Inquisition (I started during a low period of my life but meant to go back for that one)>brain to work properly in conjunction with hand movements isn't an automatic process like it used to be.>brain to work properly in conjunction with hand movements isn't an automatic process like it used to be.makes sense and sorry to hear it's that difficult, but also really pretty cool that it's actually something you can play thanks to that and hope you enjoy> getting review bombed pretty fucking hardit is kinda crazy yeah and know most probably don't play the game anyway. I think I've seen some scenes that were a bit jarring and unusual (to the point I think it's a bit much), but I don't think it's enough to make me pass on playing it eventually as someone who's enjoyed the franchise as a whole
>>79478647>skateboardOH! I think I saw you post saying you want to take up skateboarding. Fucking go for it! What kind of fish do you have? I used to have julii corydoras and zebra danios as a kid, with some aquatic plants and stuff. I did an aquascape, if you know what that is.>never managed to beat inquisitionDAI was really good, I do adore the fuck out of the game, but the real ending is the expansion and that type of game design can suck my left nut. I do not agree with that decision.>most probably won't play the game anywaySometimes I feel like people who get really butthurt over anything at all just don't get out much or talk to people with different viewpoints very often.
>>79478605>you need rest sometimesi hear you on that. I've been pushing too much lately and really took it's toll on me, so I'm trying to slow down a bit and not go so hard.>do fish need a lot if stuff?yeah, even more for salt water ones since you need specific lighting for coral and equipment to make sure the water readings are what they need to be for salt and certain organic matter readings. It's very involved, which is why salt tanks are as difficult as they are.>can do research and stuffi did and ended up buying a board. Basically went good quality and sturdy, but not so over the top for a started set since I could break my leg first day and give up for good after that, but really determined to at least give it a try as best I can
>>79478605>playing some half lifeI saw an article that Half Life's playerbase is peaking right now thanks to the anniversary. How are you enjoying it? I assume you've played it before and are going back to it.>what game??>>79477872 Veilguard. Enjoying it so far. There's this really cute elf chick that I want to make my waifu.
>>79476117ugh. I missed my medicine and tried to take double the dose to make up for it. Now my stomach is on fire. It hurts very bad.>>79476477This is very cool
>>79478941Generally don't double your medication dose to make up for a missed dose, this can be very dangerous depending on the medication. I'm glad it only caused an upset tummy. If you miss a dose, just take your next one at the regular time. Never double up because of a missed dose you could get very ill.Your prescriber should have told you this, I'm frustrated that they didn't, that's bad medical practice.
>>79478750>Fucking go for it!I figured I wanted to so long, might as well go for it. Not too old, but don't want wait much longer to get into it> What kind of fish do you have?none currently, but I want to do a salt tank/reef tank (mostly because I got really interested in corals a while back). Plan is for a clownfish pair, some watchman gobies, six line wrasse, and some cleaner shrimp (though they aren't really fish I know)> julii corydoras and zebra danios as a kidknew of zebrafish but never heard of the other and they look really cool. I only had a goldfish (carnival prize fish that lived super old lol) and kissing gourami, but really like fish, just been years >DAI was really goodI think I only got past the early part with the mage/templar segment and stopped after that, but enjoyed what I did play. Think only gripe i had were some side quests felt a bit MMOish, but that was a bioware issue since mass effect 3 at least...(DA2 has some too I feel, but not as bad). Also none of the companions at that point had grown on me yet, but just needed more time.>the real ending is the expansion agreed. I love expansions, don't get me wrong (think origins did them quite well and expanded without making anything essential per say) but feel things have gotten carried away recent years.>who get really butthurtThink the problem is a number of people who aren't even interested in the game itself get involved when these review bombings happen, so legitimate comments get lost since they're associated with the ones who just want to bash something. That's the most unfortunate part of this whole thing in my opinion
>>79478753>even more for salt waterhmm yeah I guess that depends on the type of fishWhat fishes do you think you'll get? >really determined to at least give it a try as best I canwhen are you gonna go for a ride?>>79478817>thanks to the anniversaryyes there's been an update and that's cool :D>How are you enjoying it?I watched the documentary and other stuff and played it for a bit >played it beforeyes many times and many mods :]>Enjoying it so far.aw glad to hear that is it a long game?>>79478941Hello kira c:>double the doseoh mann doesn't sound good, hopefully you feel better soon, maybe drinking tons of water could help
>>79477872>I also use a light therapy lamp during the fall and winter for an hour or so when I wake up and it helps me wake up a lot moreI only realized this now but I have been partaking in light therapy for a few days after my breakup. I slept and lived in my room with the lights on for a while. in the whole house too>>79478605>you're gonna play it?of course>>79478647>never tried these but always they look good and like something I'd enjoyI dont think it looks good but im interested in what the devs made after so many years. plus its on gaypass or without super piracy protection
>>79476117>I only have one picture of Hooni saved probably for the best. they can get a bit... incriminating, to say the least. ^^'hey officeanon! (*^*)>>79478941hi kira-chan! how are you holding up?as for me, had a ratcher chill weekend. watched a lot of shows, series and movies. at least for me. only interrupted that for some mad cleaning spree. got really upset with the state of the place and needed to change it. it was also a welcome excuse to not engage with the hobbystuff my friends want me to engage with. no excuse anymore, though. :l
>>79476117hit styro for the first time...ever last night dw i used steri-strips to close it up and im keeping an eye on itbut im worried next time i cut im gonna try and make every slice a styro cuti only do cat scratches but something about that styro cut felt...different?like not pain-wise but it felt good so good that i physically shivered when i did it idk i thought i was supposed to be getting better after i got on antidepressants and in a way i guess i have? i mean im not cutting to cope with my anxiety anymore but im still cutting just because i like doing it and in that regard i feel like im worse off then beforei mean im cutting like multiple times a day for literally whatever reasonjust woke up? cut bored? cutwatching a show? cut like wtf is wrong with me lmao

>>79480513hey sis! >:(:<>my poor lexicon in both greek english and partly russian does NOT allow for words to be expressed thoroughly enoughi think you're expressing yourself really eloquently, but i know what you mean. sometimes it just feels like you're missing certain phrases to tell what you feel.>could you tell me the meaning of the word nabuschwadano clue, honestly. my google doesn't even recognize it as word with any meaning. >i saw it spray painted on the wall a while ago in the phrase "du meinsch du bisch barg(umlaut) aber mir si nabuschwada"ugh... i see. seems to be a dialect. i'd say southern german, austrian or maybe even swiss. the "sch" at the end is how you'd speak, but not how you'd write it. "du meinsch" means "you think" but it's written like "you thinksh".>"du meinsch du bisch barg(umlaut) aber mir si nabuschwada"you think you are "baerg", but we are "naebuschwadae". (you can write the umlaut as vowel+e) sorry i can't help you, but a lot of german dialects are basically completely different languages and nearly incomprehensible when you don't grow up around them. i only speak standard german and the bastardized standard german spoken in the western parts. ^^' on top of that i don't know if you transcribed everything correctly. sometimes graffiti can be a bit stylized. might also just be a name for something. again, sorry.

>>79480977>really eloquentlynot even close honestly, there is so much to express that it became unexpressable describing how hard it would be to express is cheating :>feels like im missing entire dictionaries worth of words that at least in greek most likely exist cause we are retarded like that but im not aware of them since instead of actually doing something usefull with my life the past like 5 or so years ive done nothing but waste it online>seems to be a dialectahhaving a very basic understanding of german from the classes we had in elementary school, the sch seemed weird to me too>you think you are "baerg", but we are "naebuschwadae". huhinterestingshame that those two are unknownits alright thanks for the help anyway, i didnt know this about german dialectsits rather cool to think about, also considering the many dialects in the united states and stuffit was like regular graffiti that some guy just took a can of spray paint and decided to write on a large canvas, not stylized like full pieces or tags or throwies or w/e so im confident i copied it correctly but yeah thats a possibility too>>79481165thanks cati had nothing to stay up for even at 6 pm as the sun went down, i wanted to go to sleep right there and there but id fuck my sleep schedulenow i just have this stupid fucking annoying headache annoying me

>>79481213its alright thanks for the help anywayanytime, friend. i had fun looking into it. >i didnt know this about german dialectsit's an odd but interesting topic. everyone speaks standard german to a degree, but some regions also have a very high population of people who speak the local dialects and those can range from exchanging some letters or mixing up the grammar to completely different languages. i'm close to the dutch border and there's a region here where people speak what's basically a mix between dutch and german and probably very hard to understand on both sides of the border.>it was like regular graffiti that some guy just took a can of spray paint and decided to write on a large canvasweird. well, he wanted to let some people know something, i guess.>im confident i copied it correctlyyou probably did.btw. here's a 50 year old german song about greek guest workers. don't know if you've ever heard it before. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ELrOJgYqtyE

>>79481213i think i got it. i had to repeat the word in my mind a bit, but think "naebuschwadae" is "nebelschwade", meaning "waft of mist". i just checked and "naebu" means "mist" in bernese german, a dialect being spoken in switzerland.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernese_Germanso i think it says: "you think yourself a mountain, but we are wafts of mist."not exactly sure what it's supposed to mean, but at least it paints some sort of picture. though i feel like i'm missing a lot of cultural context here. still, kinda proud of myself for that one. :>>>79482140>Good job!thanks. no clue why i let it get this bad in the first place, though. ^^'>I wanna finish the house mapany clue how long it'll take you? or is it a "when it's done"-situation? >and in the future do more maps but they'll be smallyou definitely deserve something that's easier and faster to finish after this project of yours. what themes will you be going for?>if you wanna push yourself to do itit would be nice to finish one of these hobby-projects at some point. just for my own sake. that requires me putting in some work, unfortunately... -_->ehehe (he doesn't know)apparently i don't, even though i have approximate knowledge of many things. ^^

>>79492163>just little stuff like thatseems like good inspiration and a single room is probably much easier to realize than a whole house and neighborhood. then again, you are very detail-oriented, so we'll see. ^^>and chill evening plans? watching a stream?just the usual, though i'm more focussed on the thread than the stream. guy's playing some tower defense game.>>79492325>oh, guess the destruction left from the war left a big hole theretrue, but the american investments after the war extremely boosted german economy and it was growing at a way faster rate than it should have or could have been supported by the native population, that's why it was called the "wirtschaftwunder" (economic miracle).>seems like what greeks were brought over to do, nowdays africans and asians are how weirdpretty much. back in the day it was mostly poles, italians, turks and greeks, now, as you say, people from africa, the middle east and sea. society is straining and it's getting worse. not sure how long it's going to last like this.>we are incredibly different to u germans in many wayseh. just learn the language of where you are and drink alcohol at the times people around you do and people will sing your praise, no matter where you are.>we were really hated because of how much we were against the culture there, retaining a lot of lets just say shitty traitsi think one of the big problems was the framing of working in other countries as "guest workers" (meaning you come over, do your job and fuck off again). why would you adapt to a country you'd leave and never see again anyway? problem becomes when you stay for a few weeks that turn to months that turn to years, sometimes marrying and having children, without realizing you're not going to leave anymore, but still clining to the thought of returning "home".
>>79492325>that means you have the correct accent!Oh okay, I guess I'm glad then.>how r u anywayI'm about the same as always. How are you?>>79492355> i'm starting to get tiredThat's fair it is late for you.>other than that, i'm ok.That's good then.>any plans for the week?Stay home all day, boring stuff. How about you?>>79492358>hey gator, how're you doing?Hey officeanon. I'm doing ok. How about you?>Been through worse xDOkay well I hope the worst is behind you at least.>not gonna do anything too crazy since last thing i need now is an injurySmart, and yeah having a injury would suck.>things like steak i prefer it closer to well than rareOkay that's fair. I've only ever had well done.>>79492458>I'll probably go sleep soonGoodnight cat. Sleep tight.>Eyo ali ^^Hai cat :3>I'm well but gotta wake up early tomorrowThat sucks then, I hope you get some good sleep at least.
>>79492355>better left to written communicationoh yeah true, i didnt think of it in spoken form at all, i was thinking it as in literature and stuff not exactly messages or posts like we do here but you get the picturethen on the other hand, in literature maybe some things are better left unsaid, with the reader interpreting their own meaningalthough being able to express something in extreme detail is also nice>might be more apparent in greek it is painfully obvious, also thanks to the severe lack of foreign loan words we use makes understanding even new words relatively easy a lot of the timenot with english that words are ocmpletely random and even if you did know the root youd be unable to make sense>without knowing absolutely everything i guess you are rightmakes me feel like a poser though, yknow>common ground well yeah, i think the best way to achieve that is through written language, as if it doesnt change then it can remain the same for thousands of years, ensuring common understanding, unforutnately spoken language will eventually degrade overtime making this a bit hard but oh well>weary of the consequences what could possibly go wrong :clueless:>>79492358>guessing games with psychosaheven worse than i imagined, lol>not bad hereid be looking forward to PNW or maybe midwest (if that is even the correct term)not really interested in anything elseironic how i cant with the cold yet id like to be in the PNW>>79492458i feel you, i should have gone to sleep an hour ago but im gaming rn w/ friends so i cant>>79492610i forgot how much money americans put into germany after the war, ive always thought of it as weird, they fought germans twice in two world wars and then put millions into themalso not to mention the huge german population in the US>not sure how long it's going to last like thisi dont think very long, either everyone becomes the same (impossible) or they separate (not very pretty)>just learn the language lol that won
>>79492610wont be enough for us, way of life is really different, we make fun of germans for being workaholics and wearing sandals with socks and other things, i dont think it is meant to be mean or anything, just highlighting the differenceswe are almost always late universally for some odd reasonwhen someone is on time we say he is english, as they were known to be always on time (once 5 o clock hits its tea time and such)>why would you adapt true thats a good pointnot much of a reason to do sogetting married and having kids i could excuse because its not really something that you plan and its natural for love to occour anywhere you arebut yeah they should have been more strict to how long they are allowed to stay, or something like that>>79492623>How are you?im about to go to bed and relieve the tirenessdid u do anything cool or different today or nah
>>79492325>long story to cover which im gaming too much rn to go into detail if u want i will tell you lateri'm getting tired as well, but i'd like to hear that story. good to hear the "other side" of those stories. not that i'm not part of that too. one of my grandmothers had polish roots (i think my grandfather as well, but i'm not sure) and her second husband was a guest worker from italy.>thousand years in a day? soundsi nteresting, might check the lyrics laterhere's my favorite version of the songhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z9RIr00t11sand the lyricshttps://www.musixmatch.com/lyrics/Udo-J%C3%BCrgens/Tausend-Jahre-sind-ein-Tag/translation/english>and that he was a massive misogynist lolthose are always fun. schopenhauer is a riot.>>79492458>I'll probably go sleep soongotta wake up early tomorrow :c that sucks. :[ sleep tight.>there's dev commentary now so I'm very playing normal and listening to thatthat a very cool addition. wish more games would do that.>>79492523>hoping it's not too badfingers crossed.>sweet gherkins(wasn't sure how these would be but everything went well together)that one requires some faith, but for some reason it works. ^^ very classic recipe, though. >just some mashed potatoes, which perfect with the sauce. good choice. i can also recommend potato dumplings. and applesauce. >See myself mostly just focused on navigation and not falling of the board before doing anything too crazy.makes sense to me. staying on the board is definitely the thing that i'd need to focus a lot of time on, i feel. ^^'>No desire to rushthat'll come the more you get used to it.>just not good when you need to stop halfway because you built up so much to doalso true. i just took my time, plenty of breaks and at some point i was done with it
>>79492523>only thing here i recognizedgrand tour is amazon's version of topgear and arcane is the netflix show based on league of legends. first season is top television and i highly recommend it. can't do that for the second season, though.>other than bobs burgers which never really watchedi really enjoy it and it replaced the simpsons for me. first seasons are a bit rough, though.>Never seen a live action anime adaption I've even so much as said "that's pretty decent" let alone goodthey're made for literally noone. anime fans already have the anime and if you stay true to the anime it'll still be too weird for non-anime-watchers. even worse of they try to adapt anime-humor into live action. it just doesn't translate! and don't get me started on high-school romcoms. i don't want to see mid-twenty-somethings pretending to be in high school... maybe that's a bit hypocritical coming from me, but i don't care... :[>>79492623>it is late for you.even later now... :0>Stay home all day, boring stuff. How about you?the same, but with some work inbetween. ^^ i'll try to get back into my workouts. you up for some stretching tomorrow?>>79492676i'm done for today, but i'll reply to you in detail tomorrow, if that's ok.good night, everyone! see you soon!
>>79492814>im about to go to bed and relieve the tirenessOkay I wish you sweet dreams then.>did u do anything cool or different today or nahI shaved my body, that's different I guess. Did you?>>79492981>the same, but with some work inbetween. ^^Okay work does suck.>i'll try to get back into my workouts. Okay good job if you do!>you up for some stretching tomorrow?Sure thing as long as you are :)>good night, everyone! see you soon!Goodnight yuanon.
