Thompson will surely get one of the three remaining discretionary WCs after Hijikata's. Would love to see Bernie get one but we all know that won't happen.
>>
>>152683381
>Thompson
Kinda doubtful, he hasn't been in great shape lately and is no longer a young prospect. Could say the same about Kyrgios but he's a massive crowd draw so I think he'll get one as long as he doesn't get injured again. Saw some speculation that Wawrinka might get one given it'll be his last year on tour but I'm also sceptical about that, even as a former champ I don't think he pulls much of a crowd here
>>
>>152683546
What about Hewitt's kid? Nick will surely get one. Maybe Bolt since he's indigenous and won a November Challenger in Aus. Kubler was a top junior
>>
>>152683673
>What about Hewitt's kid?
Cruz has a quallies wildcard
>Maybe Bolt since he's indigenous and won a November Challenger in Aus
Could be. Personally I'd say he's over the hill (as is Kubler), particularly off of grass, but Tennis Australia awards a wildcard to whoever gets the most points across the three November Challengers. I think Duckworth won but he's already got direct entry - I think Bolt came second, and while the wildcard doesn't automatically fall to him, it does strengthen his case. I'm not sure if this slot is already included in the three remaining wildcards that everyone's talking about or if it goes on top of that.
As far as other Australians go, McCabe and Sweeny are both up and coming young prospects. I remember randomly watching a bit of McCabe back in like 2022 and was pretty impressed so I hope he gets a chance

they become fans of the franchise, when you think about it it's like the bandwagoners from real madrid all over the world, this is "their" club. every time we complain about the americans and their soulless habits, we're just complaining about our inevitable future, they're always 3 steps ahead.

I disagree on Amare. Amare was fantastic in NY without Nash until he was unhealthy. He averaged 37 ppg on Tim Duncan throughout a whole series.
>>
>>152682808
If anyone else should've won it that year it should've been Dirk. 20/10 as the second best player on your team is not MVP worthy. I don't see how the voting was even that close.

But this also goes back to the argument of whether it goes to the best player in the league or most valuable player to their team. Really there should just be two fucking awards and save the controversy. You can give Kobe best player in 2006 and Nash MVP, same thing for him and LeBron in 2009. Or at least do like the NFL does and have an offensive player of the year.

What's up with their recent articles about Salah? the idea that they might be getting paid to carry out an agenda against him might not be so far fetched after all with the utter nonsense they're putting out. I'm not even going to discuss the validity of the penalty, but even if you don't think it wasn't a penalty there's definitely something to it and to claim otherwise is absurd. is it even normal for a publication of this size to be commenting about penalty decisions in AFCON? absolutely absurd.

Calling him an international footballer when he played 8 matches for the U-19 team in 2010 is misleading as fuck, the biggest club he played for was 1860 Munich.

I mean it's got Monte right in its name.
This guy was a low-tier German footballer on vacation, he's not able to travel to the Swiss Alps or some exotic ski resort in America, he's going to a cheap Eastern European former commie shithole with Pints of beer for 3 Euros and low safety standards.
