the more international tournaments i watch the more i'm convinced managers have probably only 30% of the responsibility of their team winning/losing. barring examples of tactical geniuses like conte/tuchel/gallardo, etc. teams can have a mid manager and still get far on 10/10 individual perfomances from their star players or if collectively each position has an above or slightly above average player.
