I dont consider this to be remotely comparable to Englel and Asspain. My rationale is that Portugal's team is (1) astronomically better funded, (2) rigorously drilled in penalty taking both on the club and NT levels, (3) significantly more experienced than (fucking) Slovenia. In fact, if I was the coach, I would put everything into attacking in ET knowing that if it got to penalties the opponents would surely win. What was so funny about Spain + England was that it was unexpected. It was perfectly expected for Slovenia to get humiliated in penalties because probably their entire team combined doesn't have the experience just Ronaldo has at penalties both in terms of technique, training, exposure, and composure at a high level. Finally, we notice that all the Slovenes, as well as the Spainards and 2 of the Englanders, did not employ any form of stutter step or advanced technique.
