What Olympic sport would you look the least out of place in if you had to compete in one?
>>
>>142969983
Hard question. I suppose I do trail biking enough that, using all my strength, I could keep up in the mountain biking race for the first 30 seconds and then tragically crash on the first obstacle and feign an injury.
>>
Swimming or volleyball
>>
>>142969983
Football, equestrianism and maybe ping pong
>>
I haven't seen those logos before, they looks great but you'd need the text for some of them
>>
do you mean where I would perform the best or literally not "look" out of place?
target shooting, probably
>>
BMX racing also wtf is breaking?
>>
>>142970314
>do you mean where I would perform the best or literally not "look" out of place?
Aren't the two practically interchangeable?

fucking kek
>>

Archery, I was pretty decent for my age, but having to work and study at the same time killed it. I have the money and soon will have the time to get back to it, but becoming an Olympic archer is impossible to me now. Probably will become an investor or something to help the sport here.

Women skateboarding.
>>
>>142969983
archery
>>
>>142969983
The Marathon
Similar to this anon >>142970151 I can keep pace with the leaders for about a mile before I can then pretend to be injured and drop out
>>
>>142969983
skateboarding probably
>>
>>142969983
Archery no question. I've shot competitively before albeit not even close to Olympic standard
>>
>>142969983
Deathmarch because I would die.
>>
>>142969983
Modern penetration or 3x3 basketball for me
>>
>>142970889
As long as you can top this
>>
Meant to add
>>142961280
>>
>>142970628
Can you run a sub-5 minute mile?

I've been sailing competitively for more than 15 years
>>
I’m short and fat but it’s all-over fat so probably the shot put or discus. I might have to go the Paralympic route and do it in a wheelchair, but I bet I would fit right in with them.
>>
>>142973501
sounds fun and expensive. Runs in the family?
>>
taekwondo unironically even tho i was trained in actual karate
>>
>>142969983
Taekwondo but I'm too short for elite tkd, so I guess football or march
>>
>>142969983
Archery or the one with the air guns. There are some weird fuckos there
>>
>>142969983
Any of the horse ones since the horse does all the work. The jockey is dead weight.
>>
heaviest coxswain in rowing
>>
>>142973766
Yeah, my dad got me into it. Amateur sailing can actually be pretty affordable as long as you use other's boats, ownership and travel is where it gets expensive.
>>
Cycling or volleyball cause I actually do those at a recreational level
>>
>>142969983
I do archery, but it's bare bow without any of the stabilizers or accessories used by Olympic archers and on a budget takedown bow that uses screw bolts instead of ILF, so maybe I'd just look like I'm coming from a particularly poor/underfunded national team.
>>
>>142969983
If I can say that I identify as a woman to participate against women then all of them.
Otherwise uhhhh shit, nothing I guess

here are the real competitions
>>
Absolutely not a single one kek
But if I had the whole 4 years to train, then boxing or taekwondo. TKD because it's a joke, boxing because they use so much padding it's also a joke compared to real boxing
>>
>>142974961
>says archery is a competition but not sword fighting

Weightlifting probably (am a big fat bloke)

Though I haven't lifted weights in years.
>>
>>142974992
Yeah man, anybody can just pick up a recurve and shoot bullseyes at 70m, it's fucking easy, no skill or consistency needed. Just go to your local bow club and casually score a few robin hoods, no sweat.
>>
>>142974992
lmao fencing is so fucking luck-based it's ridiculous, fuck off
>>
>>142969983
I've been told that I have the perfect r body for esports
>>
>>142975134
>>142975095
>don't have to deal with another person actually competing
>just you and a stationary target
Put em on horseback and I'll rate it
>>
>>142969983
Boxing probably.
>>
>>142975134
it's only luck based between two more or less equally matched opponents
you wouldn't score one point
and i don't even like fencing, but it is what it is, an extremely technical sport
>>
>>142975190
That's retarded because your competitor is trying to shoot for a higher score than you on a similar target at a similar distance. Might as well argue shotput or javelin don't count as a sport because they aren't throwing their projectiles in tandem on the same range or at each other. And there's plenty to shit talk about fencing, what kind of combat sport thinks whipping your sword around the back of your own head to lightly tap them on the scalp is a valid technique while their direct stab to your gut doesn't count because it happened after said tap? Fencing is the aikido of weapon-based sports.
>>
>>142969983
Golf, because even as bad as I am, every tourney w/ world class pros always has at least a handful of guys who completely shit the bed. I'd be 10-30 strokes behind those guys, but in the grand scheme of things I'd just be part of the guys that "didn't show up this time"
Or just breakdancing, because it's just moving like an idiot
>>
>>142969983
curling. If that fat fuck Schuster can do it, I can.
>>
>>142970628
Read "The Curse of Lono" by Hunter S Thompson. He and his drinking buddies had the great idea of starting the Honolulu marathon and running balls out for the first half mile or so and try to tire everyone out with their pace. Yeah, it didn't exactly work out. The runners blew pass them right from the start with sub-5:00 paces and they were gassed and way behind before they even hit a quarter-mile.
>>
>>142973501
shoot, it costs more to put a boat in the water than to buy one in the first place.
>>
>>142975448
Most clubs let you play around with J24s for a small fee
If you’re good the club may let you join their team
>>
>>142975328
Maybe they should've defended from that attack
You can't defend shit in archery
Even fucking bowling is more competitive cause you can purposefully fuck up the opponent's shot

>>142975571
archery should be two squads in the woods shooting suction cup arrows at each other, the squad with the most arrows stuck to their bodies losses
>>
>>142975299
> it's only luck based between two more or less equally matched opponents
that applies to 90% of sports Tbh
>>
>>142975621
Now we're talkin
>>
>>142975448
Depends on the boat :^)
>>
>>142975571
You can't defend shit in fencing either, the swords are fucking liquid
>b-b-b-but saber
still not a hard sword that can be used for actual parries
