Pesapallo prod-kast in inglis! :DDD
>>
wow the commentary is bad and trying to lure foreigners with this must be doing more harm than good for the sport

Are these the usual announcers trying their best in English, or were these announcers specifically chosen for this one job?
>>
Also,
>IPV Reds
>Reds
Wannabee Americanism. Embarrassing.
>>

I have no clue, I don't watch the sport
probably the latter, he can pronounce well enough, but his voice is terrible for commentating

At the beginning of July, another baseball club announced that it would be the first to hold a match event in English. Shortly after this pesäpallo club that produces this broadcast announced that they would be the first to make the commentary in English. In the same announcement, they were looking for someone who has both this sport and English skills. They are not at all prepared to do this properly.

Yes

I'm not expecting perfection, but his pronunciation is definitely not "good enough."

That sounds about right.

If you want a better experience, wait until August 4. Then there will be a better prepared game. The announcer is British and I would believe that the American interviewed at the beginning of this broadcast is included.

its good enough for a finn, imo bigger problem is he's not sure of what he's saying so it sounds more like rambling with extended pauses and filler words
there's also 2 commentators, but both seem to have same role, trying to teach how the sport works
they should stick to simple stuff and let people learn by watching
>>
>>142972605
I'm still watching this. In some way, it's still better than CHL announcers who speak fluent (British) English, but seem to know nothing about hockey.

>>142972607
Yeah, the slowness is worse than the pronunciation. Better to hire someone loud and enthusiastic, even if it's 90% gibberish.
>>
is it always this low scoring
>>
>>142972979
A game is played in two halves. The score resets in the 2nd half, which just begun.
>>

its also so unprofessional u can hear them touching mics constantly and dont know when to mute etc
some really low budget production, at least its free
