12 man full PPR, I drafted 11th out of 12.

I had to change my draft strategy halfway through because people were reaching hard for players, so I decided to invest in potential long term investments, which explains why I'm light on WR and heavy on RBs. I plan on making some trades down the line if everything goes according to plan. Thoughts?
>>

>>

You're fucked if CMC goes down but no reason not to stash someone who's a potential league winner for someone else. Maybe he pops at the right time for you and it's like you never missed CMC.
>>
>>144094431
uh no why?
>>
>>144098035
I had kincAIDs last year and he was not worth drafting at all, waiver wire guys were outscoring him. maybe he makes the jump this year, but last I checked dawson knox is still on the roster and I wouldnt want to bet on it.

"Pitts might actually be good this year" has been repeated for like 4 years now. yeah he MIGHT make the jump with a new qb but again, I would not want to bet my TE slot on that. IMO draft laporta or kelce in the third, if you cant take andrews in the 4th or mcbride in the 5th. none of that works out, snag freiermuth or ferguson. id rather have ALL of those guys over pitts or kincaid, but really you should grab one of the top 3 because its probably gonna be TE hell for everybody after that.
>>
>>144098882
cooks definitely is. lockett SHOULD be by now, but seems to be one of those players who keeps ignoring father time and keeps being productive. that could end at any point, but it hasnt happened yet.
>>
>>144099053

I'm in a keeper league, and I'm seriously considering trading Diontae Johnson for Rome Odunze. I feel like he's going to produce heavy and I already have Caleb Williams. Both of these guys are on the bench, but the potential is better with Odunze.
Am I a fucking retard?
>>
>>144098388
Any other opinions or thoughts on this? Drafting 11 out of 12 was tough, especially when everyone was reaching, but I got the skill to be able to make a huge trade every season.
>>

>>144128986
Teams are going to be way less stacked, much less room for error. If you manage to get 2 or 3 serious studs (unlikely) you're gonna do great. You will have depth issues and a light bench, be aggressive with waivers and trades. A bad draft can and will fuck you.
Personally, I'm trying to load up on rb early, but I know how the guys I play with tend to draft.

I'm saying this assuming ppr, 1qb, 1 flex, 2wr, 2rb
>>
>>144132377
yeah, you guessed correctly. .5 ppr. i feel like loading on RB is smart for a 12 because they seem to have a drop off much faster in mock drafts. definitely not worth trying to get a TE or QB early, right? i feel like that makes more sense in a 10
>>
so how do you approach d/st and kickers? Last picks always?
>>
>>144135928
Assuming normal scoring, yes, always. Strongly consider streaming both week to week.

>>
>>144135928
Depends on league, but recently I've been grabbing a top D/ST as soon as I've drafted my starting lineup and picked up my bye week fillers. So around Round 10-ish.

Then I pick up dart throws the rest of the way.

My favorite part about this strat is that some leaguemates start panicking about you drafting a D/ST early, so sometimes it'll trigger a D/ST run, which in turn will help you draft better value lottery tickets in the later rounds.

I always stream kickers since imo that position is far easier to stream than D/ST. There are far more shit D/STs than decent kickers on waivers, and this holds more true Weeks 13+, when teams start hoarding D/STs for the playoffs.

So that's why I try to draft a D/ST early now and hold them RoS instead of streaming them.
>>
>>144135928
I'm not opposed to taking a real defense somewhere in 10-12. Players are dart throws by that point anyway and having the Dallas defense last year got me 40 points in week one and bailed me out on numerous other occasions. Streaming kickers is a total crapshoot and you miss all the 5 field goal days anyway in my experience also.
>>
>>144136292
Dallas D isn't going to be quite as good this year but considering I did the exact same thing last year, and may very well do it again this year... you're not wrong.
>>
>>144118810
Im sorry you clearly didnt watch any buffalo games last year. this faggot wont even clear dawson knox on the depth chart. sorry you wasted your draft pick on him but go cope about it elsewhere. holy hell yall are some retards, just give up your 3/4th rounder for a real TE next time instead of going big brain """Value""" players. year after year these middle round TEs are letdowns
>>
>>144121673

>>
>>144128457
Based. Good luck anon. I think Davante will be better than expected this season. Minshew always supports a top receiver. Even DJ Chark had a good run with him.
>>
Who will the league rig it for this year? They tend to align with larger cultural themes / NWO plans.

Some options:

- Commies do well with the whole broader communism theme
- Hawk Tuah = Tua MVP? Dolphin-Seahawk SB? Probably not
- Bills as SB champs considering it’s been 33 years since Bills lost their first of 4 straight super bowls. Their former owner too was a 33rd degree mason, plus theyre the team most linked to Trump as he tried to buy them, and it’s in an election year (plus everyone thinks they aren’t as good this year), plus Red White & Blue colors if they want the whole pro-America symbology. They’ve been teasing Bills for years now, and got everyone on the wrong side with the whole Hamlin hoax, at some point they’re going to cash that chip in this year would be good time
- Jets with the whole Boeing symbology on-going now with the astronauts stuck in space were told is a possibility
- Goodell was talking about moving the SB to Presidents Day Weekend, and to me that hinted at a likely Commanders-Chiefs SB, though they probably do that for 2026, especially with the Olympics that year too

Who do I cut so i can pick up a kicker? (i didnt draft one during the draft cause i like to have more time to decide between my end of the bench players but im also a retard so i cant do it with out help)

>>
>>144152470

>>
>>144152461
Double TE is interesting but it’s the ones to do it with. Decent bench WRs
>>
>>144152461
my quibble would be that you drafted laporta (in the third round?) and then you took mcbride also
I don't get the point of that
>>
>>144153286
yeah I didn't feel bad at all about those two. happy about the kyler-tre stack too. RBs feel weak but I'm hoping to fix that a bit as the season goes on
>>
>>144093640
I like Justice Hill in the 5th ahead of Montgomery, Walker and Achane.
>>
>>144153519
simply that I think they're both great players worth a spot and I can play them both every week without feeling bad.
>>
Guys need help haven't drafted a QB about to start 8th round have 7th pick the best available QBs are Purdy and Jayden Daniels. You have your kirks and your herberts etc only one other team hasn't drafted a QB. It's a single QB league. Should I pick anything or just wait it out some more
>>
>>144152590
He is the best player on that offense but the offense will be pretty bad. Just gotta hope he catches a lot of dump offs.
>>
>>144154013
I hope you picked Purdy.
>>
>>144139076
/x/ has a league?
>>
I got pick 11 in my PPR. Should I go WR-WR or WR-RB
>>
>>144155826
This is a stupid question that entirely depends on the roster format of your league and what players are available.
>>
>>144155985
Standard PPR scoring, I'm hoping I can land Wilson and Brown then a RB TE combo the next time around.
>>
>>144156220
I mean how many WRs total can you start? If you have 2 flex or 3 WR slots you can start WR-WR but if you can only start a total of 3 WRs you probably want to get one of those top tier RBs at that range like JT or Gibbs.
>>
>>144156220
If your league is not retarded those two will probably be gone by the time you get to pick.

Sure you can draft Puka as your first WR, but you can get better value drafting Kupp later instead.

Just grab 1 or maybe even 2 RBs in JT/Gibbs/Saquon and call it a day.

>drafted 11th as well
>>
>>144136954
You have no idea what you’re talking about, Kincaid is the better pass catcher. He had 20 more receptions and 100 more yards in his rookie year (while competing with Knox and Diggs for targets) than Knox has had in any year of his career. It’s also not true that only highly drafted TEs are successful, Laporta was my last pick last year. You’re trying to justify your irrational bias by looking for patterns in draft position between players who have nothing to do with each other
>>
>>144156388
2RB, 2WR and 1 WR/RB/TE flex. One issue is, I'm sure K. Williams and Etienne will be there but I have them both in my priority league. Those 2 RBs out scored most of the WRs that will probably be available to me at the time. If those 2 suck, then I'm dead in 2 leagues.
>>144156485
Puka will probably be there.
>>
>>144156629
Go Willson/Brown and Gibbs/Taylor
>>
>>144156656
Both are good choices and I may even do 2 RBs with my first 2 picks because of the lack of RBs compared to WRs available. If I can land 2 stud RBs and get a good WR with my 3rd pick I may be all right.
>>
r8 and h8, boys. 10 man, 0.5 PPR

i hate my running backs too, but I couldn't pass on JJ at #13. was one pick away from KW3 but had to settle for rachaad white
>>
>>144157146
Why do you like Kyren so much? Asking for a friend
>>
>>144157304
KW3 = kenneth walker III
that said i would have vastly preferred kyren over both of them, that seems like a no-brainer. sean mcvay keeps talking about how he wants to use him more and he already had a ton of usage as both a rusher and receiver. he's going early-middle 2nd round in most draft boards
>>
I'm drafting with retardeds. Kelce and Hurts (4pts per TD) drafted in the 1st round.
>>

RB: Christian McCaffrey

I've got a draft in 20 minutes, what's your generic position formula per round? 14 person league, 15 per team.
I generally go Rb, WR, QB, RB, WR for the first 5 rounds, but it generally gets murky after that.
TE at 6? When do you pick up your backup QB? Defense at 10 and then Kicker at 15?

We have a cash pool for random rules, so if he goes on the IR I get $20. Which is really the only consolation I can have in the situation. If he pans out, great. If not, oh well.
And since I have the best draft grade, that's also $10. So that's nice.

And sister is fine and not dead. Which is also nice. Only time will tell in the long run, unfortunately.

I zigged when everyone else zagged and ended up with a value-oriented roster coming out of my auction draft earlier this evening

I'm honestly underwhelmed. I don't think I did badly but it just feels weird having CD as my only bonafide "1st round pick" type player. I'm so used to studs n scrubs that I felt out of my element but at least I stuck to my prices and didn't go completely berserk

2QB non-ppr league:

goof - $9
daniels - $15

KW3 - $26
J Cook - $13
Swift - $7
Ford - $3
Brooks - $3

CD - $43
AJB - $22
Deebo - $18
Evans - $12
Davante - $11
Worthy - $5 (we play in a return yards league)
Dell - $4

Ferguson - $5

Streaming DST and kicker like I always do

I just feel like I'm not gonna be able to flip any of my WR value when I need to upgrade another position. I do play waivers like a hawk so I'm gonna probably beat everyone else in the league to backup RBs which makes me feel a little better about loading up on WR.

its just yahoo

10 teams
0.5
QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, WR/TE/RB, K, DEF
>>
>>144169437
generally as a rule, choose good players on good teams first. you should be drafting a wr or rb in the first two rounds at minimum. you will end up playing 5 players in those two positions so you want to ensure you have good ones.
in 10 team, a good QB/TE can be a bigger difference maker than in 12 team. the way QB scoring works, mobile QBs generally have a higher floor and ceiling since rushing and rushing td's are worth more points in most leagues than passing yard and tds. if Josh Allen or Jalen hurts (the tush push counts as rushing and a rushing td) are available in the 3rd, consider taking one. if they're available in the 4th, you should take one no hesitation.
everything else, follow expert consensus on yahoo. not much more time to prepare for your draft. learn as you go, and play the waiver wire to acquire players during the season that break out or take over for injured starters. keep a deep bench of wr and rb to work as trade fodder.
>>
>>144169526
Thanks anon,

I have the athletic spreadsheet shit I'm kin of following too, I entered the league points and it ranked them based on that , if I'm like 1st or 2nd pick is taking a qb rnd 2 okay?
>>
If you can't draft the best team in your league while downing a bottle of brandy and shooting targets with a bb gun, well son, I'm afraid fantasy football might not be for you.
>>
>>144169175
because the cancerman isn't very good and is injury prone.
>>
>>144169613
round 2 is still too early for a qb. you really want to be loaded up at wr and rb first. don't overvalue the advice about getting an elite qb, it's nice but won't make or break your season. there's plenty of good depth at wr/rb in the 3rd and 4th rounds. follow your guide and it should keep you from making any significant mistakes.

Alright how'd I do, 12 man half ppr. 7th pick 1 keeper. I didn't get a QB I was targeting as they were being taken too high and then started getting sniped as some idiots were taking backup QBs way too early. So I ended up with Herbert which was the most talented QB left so I'm ok with that.

Thanks. Imho I think it's better than good. Maybe a bit risky in some areas, but high risk = high reward. Scared money doesnt make any. But yeah it's a work league with some retards but also has some hardcore fantasy veterans, so not really sure how they missed Kincaid, but was estatic to grab him late after raking up WRs and RBs.

>>
>>144174443
Everyone would take LaPorta over Kincaid, that's a given, but Kincaid is going at 53.6 while LaPorta is going at 31.4. Hell, Kelce is going at 25.2. Kincaid is the best value of those three. With Diggs gone Kincaid will be the go-to guy for Allen in a pass heavy offense. One thing not mentioned yet was last year was his rookie campaign. LaPorta was an outsider going off as a rookie. Most TEs take a season to adjust and earn trust from the QB and coaches.

Depending on your league you can get Kincaid in round 5 while Kelce is round 2 and LaPorta round 2-3. Kincaid is the patrician's choice.

You have to get a QB in smaller leagues and larger leagues. in a 12 team league you can go zero QB but you have to hope a guy like Daniels or Williams performs well for rookies. In a 16 team you'll be stuck with a Carr type and in an 8 team you'll be stuck with Murray or Love. Either of those final two will be fine but the guy who gets Allen or Hurts could still have an ultra-stacked team and you're fucked.

>>
>>144176091
There are not many good tight ends so if you get one it makes your team better
>>
>>144176091
Kicker 1 and 20 will be separated by like 32 points over a full season or like 2 points a game. You don't reach for a kicker because they're all the same.

Meanwhile after the 1st 2 TEs, and then the next 4, they're all the same middling BS. Getting a quality TE gives you an edge as your opponents won't be able to improve their TE position.

With RBs and WRs there are a ton of depth options. If you use a pick in the first 6 rounds on a TE you can make up the missed RB or WR with a savvy rookie pick or a FA pick up from a guy like Puka no one saw coming last year.

Bottom line: 1-2 Elite TEs, 3-4 great TEs, rest are ass you can't rely on. Plenty more WRs and RBs to grab

Be prepared for a looong draft, I've had auctions top 3 hours before as guys outbid each other by $1 20 times in a row for one guy. As far as strategy I tend to stray towards what you said - if you have a strong feeling then go get your guy. No shame in blowing half your budget one two or three studs. Not like there's a retard for being conservative other than getting your pick of 10th round dart throws when you can bid $2 instead of 1 at the end. Expect a few teams to be basically on autodraft after the first few rounds (sounds like you're leaning to this camp), a few teams to have a surplus at the end and most to be somewhere in the middle. Also, and this is why I tend to go heavy at the start, FOMO tends to make people overbid in the late-early to early-middle rounds. So you'll be beating yourself about spending %35 budget on CMC but meanwhile someone's paying 25% for like a Kenneth Walker cause he realized he doesn't have an RB1 yet. Last thing and this is for everyone in here but don't fret if you feel you botched it bad on draft night. 1/3rd of the league will be injured by week 4 anyway.
>>
>>144181062
>>144180004
Oh since I forgot to answer your specific question you can go in with your values for each player/position/tier or whatever, but don't overthink or rely too much on any 'plan'. If you see value where you think others have missed it than that's generally good enough. Worst case scenario you're wrong and you can adjust using the waivers in-season.
>>
>>144177827
I'd keep as-is for week 1, for waivers I'd just be aggressive as the depth charts or injuries sort out for the first few weeks, as I like your starters a lot but your bench depth is concerning to me.
>>
>>144177313
I have been on the Mixon trainwreck too many times to support drafting him and have zero faith in NOLA offensively, but not terrible I think. One thing I'll say and it hurts me as Njoku will get plenty looks but you do not need two TEs. Maybe you can use him as one piece of a trade to get a higher-end flex.

$200 budget? Yeah $70 sounds right for CMC, or higher even since he'll be the first player put on the block most likely. I'd probably try to get two top-8 WRs somewhere in the 50-55 dollar range if possible, and then work the top-mid tier for RB/flex, but again that goes into strategy that could go out the window if you can get like a Breece Hall or Bijan Robinson for less than you expect.
>>
>>144181353

I had a full white team back in the day.
Brady
CMC
Burkhead
Kupp
Edelman
Kittle
Thielen
>>
>>144180775
>No Kupp
>No Mconkey
>No Zamir White
>No Steele

You failed
>>
>>144181764
Well I also want to win at the same time.
I do see the missed opportunity tho and you do make a good point.
>>
anyone interested in forming a sleeper league?
>>
>>144182074
Yes, absolutely. I'd even do a keeper or dynasty but that would probably be a mess trying to get people to come back every year.
>>
>>144182107
yeah, i've noticed that it's extremely difficult to get the same people back multiple years on here. this one will be mellow but i'd be fine setting it up if more people want in
>>
>>144182134
I'm about to sleep(lel), but I'll check in tomorrow to see if there's any more interest. Sometimes you just have to set it up first and hope for the best

I'd join...
Also rate 12 team half ppr
feeling pretty good about it
>>
>>144182138
that's a good idea. i'll probably set it up tomorrow and just post it and see if we can get at least ten people.
>>144182227
i'd be happy with that team

>kincAIDs
>mixon
>olave
>cooper
>joe brittle

better luck next year
>>
>>144177313
at least you have njoku to save your team a little after dalton puts up 1 catch for 6 yards week 1
>>
What’s a good defense to stream first week?
>>
Doing my first draft tonight, mostly noobs including me in this league.

Who are the players I should most avoid and who are the most undervalued ones too please.
>>
How we feeling about this draft? Its a 12 man league Some of the super late round picks are homer picks.
>>
>>144184338
TE i wont name is a literal JAG. the fact so many of you tards actually wasted a pick on him is all the proof you need this board is nothing but new fags. scary terry still has a shit QB and will be disappointing like always. eagles are a shitty meme team and ajb will be the wr2 this year.

dont lose hope though there's always next season
>>
>league noticed i added rookies in a keeper league
I guess i wont keep them. Sad
>>
Hate & Rate
12 man Head to Head Points, 0.5 Points Per Reception
>>
>>144184173
I’m going Seahawks. Rookie QB in his first ever start in the 12th man. Plus their new coach was Baltimore’s DC last year.

>>
>>144186833
9ers easily
>>
>>144186840
Retard
>>
>he still hasn't picked up Andrei Iosivas
>>
how soon is too soon to take a qb, does it depend on draft position?
>>
>>144187230
Depends on the league size and rules too
>>
>>144186920
Im a bengals fan and i cant see taking him him unless you are in a big league with a large bench. Chases deal will probably be done this week and he will only see some small play
>>
>>144187230
12-14 team punt on QB and just take Goff or Tua. In a 10 team or less game Allen, Hurts, or Mahomes.
>>
>>144187594
like 3rd round if you are an early pick?
>>
>>144187705
Ideally round 4 In a 10 teamer.
>>
>>144187833
Fug i'm nervous for tomorrow, I dont want to mess this up... its my first $100 league....
>>
>>144187936
