That's a terrible deal for Chelsea, they should've been more proactive in selling him earlier in the window.

He's a good, young player and had a decent goal scoring record for a shite team in the Championship, but what the fuck? Even the rejected 10m is insane for a league one team.

These aren't really quid pro quo, this is Chelsea panicking and trying to get anything for Sterling. Sancho going to Chelsea is odd because it's only a loan and while United will get a loan fee and I assume wages off the books, unless there is an obligation to buy United aren't in a good position unless he rapes it up for Chelsea and they can sell them.

I don't even understand why they went for Sancho, so that might be a quid pro quo thing but I just thought maybe it's for home grown rules as they removed Sterling.

That nigga has been on my mind. No cap, I been thinking about that time when I barebacked him raw in a Boca Raton Air BnB. That shit had to be the tightest, blackest, wettest boy pussy I've ever laid pipe into. I swear to God, the most heavenly high is gargling that wonderboy's nuts while going fist deep into his shitter. I had Sterling screaming in the sheets with head too ridiculous to ignore. That nigga frotted my cock until he busted on my mouth, I had to return the favor.
That nigga Sterling and I been fucking non-stop ever since, but keep that shit on the DL. He does that shit for free. If you're gonna ask me how to "long" Sterling , I'll be deadass. All you gotta do is ask, be straight up, and get physical real quick. Touch his nuts, get on ya knees, talk your shit. He doesn't play around with no pansy-ass niggas either. He likes his men manly, and his dick thick. Dark skin, 6'5 is the minimum and I ain't talking about height boy.

That nigga Sterling stole my heart and drank my seed.

Update on chelseas washington deal collapsing

" Turnaround: at the end of the afternoon, the arrival of the player purchased for 16 million euros in the summer of 2023 was canceled for reasons which remain to be clarified. Is it because, as The Athletic suggests, the Premier League could study its structure, as it gives itself the right to do on transactions between clubs held by the same owner? The transfer of Diego Moreira, who went from the Blues to RCSA for €9 million during the summer, could already be. In any case, we will not have to go that far in the Washington file. "

Basically seems like Clearlake pushing the envelope as far as they can until they're told they're not allowed. Speculation is maybe this deal was seen as too dodgy or sketchy lol.

Or, you shouldn't have publicly told your player on £325k per week that they're not going to play a single min in the team this season, essentially told them you're going to play with the kids for the remainder of your three year contract and suddenly realise that is essentially £50m you're going to be paying a guy who isn't going to contribute to the club so you're willing to pay £200k per week to him and get him out of the club he will undoubtedly stink up simply being there.
>>
>>144101917
Chelsea must be a tight with PSR to take such a huge L while offering a rival a lot of upside and almost no risk.
>>
>>144102011
Nobody knows how much. It's less than 50%. But some have reported it is a 'fraction'. Which is used when it is extremely small. I wouldn't be surprised if Arsenal are paying 25% and it's part of the deal to keep that quiet.

i mean i guess if they can get him for 25%-ish seems like a solid squad option, but he's been shit for years. on the other hand, maybe his shittiness is just cause of chelsea (although i don't think that's true still think he's washed)
i say all this and i expected him to be like 32, he's 29 (30 in december) i just googled. crazy. feel like he dropped off very fast considering his age
>>
>>144102067
Well if it was a 'fraction' then it's either 1/4 (25%), 1/3 (33%) since it is 'below 50%' and 'fraction' is used for simple shit, not like 3/5's.

He hasn't hit the 20 g/a mark in a while but then again I don't think he's ever hit that other than when he was at City and City was at their utmost peak. Even in his last season with them he got 18 g/a (17 in the season before that) which is respectable and only like 3 goals/2 assists behind KDB who was their highest scorer that season. I don't think anyone is going to say Sterling will hit those numbers again but even if hits half those numbers, which he kinda did even at that terrible Chelsea, then he'll be incredibly useful for Arsenal.
>>
>>144102208
true, but havertz jorginho willian luiz giroud, feel like you dont see that sort of activity between other top 6. the last united/liverpool non-youth player was in the 50s, spurs/arsenal campbell and gallas, etc.
i know chelsea and arsenal don't consider each other actual rivals in the vein united liverpool do but still top 6, london, all that. they seem to be pretty happy to transfer is what i was suggesting

fair, i suppose. if they can eat the wage which it sounds like they can. doesnt start over saka or martinelli/trossard though does he?
>>
>>144102208
Assna bought Havertz when they could've bought a striker (let's say, Watkins or Toney). Without that sale it's very likely Chelsea would've failed FFP.
>>
>>144102319
>doesnt start over saka or martinelli/trossard though does he?
Definitely not over Saka but an case could be made for Martinelli. Arteta seems to love bringing Trossard off the bench (to great effect so fair enough I guess) but Martinelli also seems like a fan favourite so idk. But Arteta also used to work with Sterling at City so maybe he's got a pretty strong case on the left wing.
Can they play immediately after being signed btw? Like, is it possible for Sterling to play tomorrow?
>>
giving someone your owners paid 60m for 2 years ago, a premier league all time forward for free, one of only two or three wingers in the premier league 100+ goals club, to your biggest rivals, all so that you can make space in your squad for the arrival of Jadon Sancho, one of the biggest flops in premier league history.

it is very worrying times for Chelsea F.C. If Sterling performs at 50% of his best (and I think he easily can), then Chelsea, Maresca, Boehly, Clearlake are going to be annihilated for this deal all year. Don't even think Sterling is unprofessional or declined.
>>
>>144102369
>Can they play immediately after being signed btw? Like, is it possible for Sterling to play tomorrow?
dont think there's any regulation preventing that but likely would never happen cause the manager wants to impart their wisdom and such upon the player, for the same reason i dont expect chiesa to even come off the bench until after the international break
and the martinelli fan favorite comment, i watch a lot of arsenal games but not every game, im not a customer of theirs, i thought people are fed up with him now, did something happen? he looked really solid a couple years ago
>>
There was a season when I watched almost all the city games when they had sané and sterling as wingers and in my memory both of them played very well and each of them scored almost every game. Since the transfers both of them seem like different players. So it was just the bald fraud who made them good all along I am led to believe?

>>
>>144102399
>the manager wants to impart their wisdom and such upon the player
Good point. With the international break coming so soon I suppose Arteta will probably just wait before debuting him.
>i thought people are fed up with him now
Oh shit I didn't realise. I guess it makes sense cause it'd be his second season being meh now. The copium as far as I'm aware is that he doesn't get much support from the left side like Saka does on the right ever since Xhaka left but I don't know how much truth is in that. I think defenders probably just figured him out for the most part. He's got incredible pace but I don't think he's got anywhere near the dribbling skills Saka has so he can't easily get away from players other than he just out sprints them. Honestly I don't know enough about the game to really tell what his malfunction is. Everyone memes the fact that he always stares at the ground but he did that in his good season too so obviously that's not the problem.

All good anon. Does Sterling still have his pace? If he does then I can definitely see him starting over Martinelli in a bunch of games. That being said Martinelli does do a lot of defensive work (which was also part of the reason why people think he's shit now because Xhaka isn't there to clean up a lot of fuck ups so Martinelli has to work "overtime") and presses a ton and shit which I don't know if Sterling does. So he still has two years of potentially doing nothing when he's done there? Or is Chelsea hoping that he'll perform well for Arsenal so they can sell him? Arsenal would be absolutely retarded to buy him, even if he does well, simply due to his age (unless it was an absolutely steal and he dropped his wage demands, I'm talking £5m and 100k per week tops) but assuming that does not happen, he's still got two years on his contract at Chelsea so what happens if the expected happens and he doesn't do anything? Sancho was still cheaper than Mudryk, and he helped take a team to a CL final.

Mudryk will end up being sold for literal peanuts meanwhile United will get atleast half of Sancho's 2021 fee back.

I'll be flooding the /epl/ with my eulogy about Sancho. please be patient, I don't expect you to read anything from here but this is what I promised before.
>>
>>144107357
With the news that Sancho is inevitably moving to PSG (this is what is widely believed by the masses by the way), I want to deliver my eulogy about the hopes and expectations that came after Sancho was signed by United, now that is being buried for good.

Jadon oh Jadon, the first time I came to know you was probably around 2 seasons before you came to United (so back in the start of 19/20 season, I think). I heard it from a bunch of transfer-seeker United fans, thinking he'd remedy the dearth of any actual talent playing RW at Man United (before that, the likes of Juan Mata, Jlingz, and even Rashford played there, hell even Ashley Young played there in 442). From the way these fans spoke highly about them (to the point that it could become some sort of cult), I was led to believe that this Sancho lad was supposed to be the Messiah, the Messancho if you will, who would lead United to its Renaissancho. Of course with me being completely clueless about Bundesligma, I thought 'hey, maybe I just need to trust these lots' while being clueless they too probably didn't watch a lot Bundes matches to actually form some sort of an informed opinion, instead of getting their opinion from some other twitterando.

Well the 19/20 transfer window just passed like that, Sancho didn't want to move to the club that wasn't in CL, so United opted for a much cheaper option in Daniel James, the lad United bought from Swansea City. Well it never stopped those noisy United fans to keep wanting him to come so I had no choice but to listen to them yapping as always.

19/20 season passed, United managed to return back to CL after beating Leicester City who had to start the aging Wes Morgan due to injury crisis. so it's time for another 'hyping for Sancho to United' round to come around again among United fans.
>>
>>144107424
Sadly that transfer window didn't produce le kino arrival of Sancho, instead United decided to bring in Van de Beek (a lad who ended up only playing 62 games for United in the span of 4 seasons, and in the meantime also got loaned to Everton and Eintracht Frankfurt), Telles as Shaw's rotational player, 2 Uruguayan in Cavani (a veteran striker from PSG) and Pellistri from Peñarol, and then Amad the Mad Lad from Atalanta. The transfer window that was deemed to be pretty controversial because none of the incomings had the expectation to fix the starting lineup which was pretty mediocre as it was. that transfer window also served as the grim remainder of how completely annoying Fabrizio Romano was because he spent every fucking day reminding about '120M OR NOTHING' about Sancho through his series of tweets. But hey, maybe United could buy him next year right?

fast forward again, 20/21 season was done, at some point United tried to challenge for the title against Man City but the wheels fell off in the middle of the season where Pogba was injured (because that's what he always did in United) so United had to settle 2nd in the league table even though the season was not without its controversies. from 1-6 loses to Spurs, losing 1-2 against 20th ranked Sheffield United at home, being thrown back to play Europa League again because they finished 3rd in the CL Group Stage where they shamelessly lost against the mighty Basaksehir and went down 3-0 to RB Leipzig before they scored 2 goals but that wasn't enough to salvage their CL campaign. but here it is, 21/22 transfer window, and this time they actually managed to buy Sancho from the shackles of those German bottlers. 'WE DID IT' screamed by Woodward, Murtough, and some millions United fans all over the world. Well except me, because I never liked Jsanchz, and I much preferred for United to buy an actual premium striker over him. But I thought 'heh, maybe i'm just being a negative Nancy heh?
>>
>>144107441
Well on top of Jsanchz, United also bought a 36yo Ronaldo and Varane. Pundits somehow thought with these new additions, that United would go having a better season than before, and maybe they could actually challenge for the title for real this time. well they couldn't have been more wrong.

I mean where to begin? It didn't take long to realize aging Ronaldo was a waning force despite him still being able to score sometimes, and that cost Ole his job and Ole was deemed to be a clueless manager because 'he couldn't come up with a tactic to serve Ronaldo well', the excuses that eventually became a lot-more-known reality after Ronaldo constantly crashed his NT both in WC 2022 and Euro 2024. Varane missed half of the season due to injury issues and Sancho was constantly benched because Ole didn't trust him enough.

then came Carrick to steady a ship a bit before United decided to hire Rangnick as the new interim manager as United decided to seek for a permanent manager when the season was done. but Rangnick's appointment was merely a tip of the iceberg, the tin opener which opened a can of maggots which was the utter shitshow of the 2nd half of United's 21/22 season. winnable games became draws or losses, dogshit tactic being exposed to your eyes for full 90 minutes week in week out, Rangnick's presser that sometimes exposed stuff that should've been a behind-the-door secret like Shaw's family problem behind the reason of his missing. It was not for the faint-hearted, also it was not for fans who preferred to keep their eyes pure from the utter dross being served like this. We could only wish the season was done as fast as possible.

Oh and Sancho finished the season playing 38 games with 5 goals and 3 assists, he also missed the last month of the season due to struggling with Tonsilitis. United finished at 6th, limply getting the last EL quota

All were in doom and gloom, but United fans were convinced they hadn't seen the absolute best that our lad Sancho could produce for the team, citing the sheer imbalance of the squad and the destroyed mood in the dressing room surely impacted Sancho's impact at the United, so United fans were more than welcome to give him a lot of chance for the next season.

And this time, in 22/23 season, United had a new manager, directly brought from Eredivisie, from a club called Ajax, a team that a couple of seasons ago were in UCL semifinal and could've reached the final if they didn't have some awful bottling moment in the 2nd leg against Lucas Moura's Spurs. But here it is, the new Reedemer in the town, the man which was touted to be the best modern football manager in the world. We were hearing such a progressive, super-attacking playstyle, with a stable defensive line and yet weren't scared to keep pushing up the pitch to exhibit more and so on so forth. This IS the new era boys and girls. and fans thought Sancho would, and I quote, "COOK" under this new regime. he'd fit with this fantastical Ten hag's tactic even though they couldn't explain to you how and why, or what even Ten Hag's tactic is.

Aaanddddd he just farted another whole nothing of the season for United. the arrival of Antony made his chance to play on RW smaller, and Rashford was in his best form of his career, scoring 30 goals and having 10 assists in 56 games all competition so he also couldn't nail that LW position either. but it's not he didn't play a lot of games either. He played LW a lot of times when Rashford had to play CF due to the eternal absence of Martial and Ronaldo was getting a cold treatment by Ten Hag. but what makes it worse is that he disappeared. legit disappeared. into the mountain he went. for 3 straight months. while still being fully paid as one of the top-earners in United. insanity isn't enough to describe such shitshow. but he won Carabao Cup medal so heh.
>>
>>144107487
I mean alright it's not that bad i guess? Sancho managed to produce his best number at United so far, in the grand amount 7 goals and 3 assists in 41 games so that's quite an increase right? his first season, he had 5 goals and 3 assists in 38 games so if my math isn't wrong, 10 is bigger than 8 right???? well it shouldn't get any worse as he entered his 3rd season with United right???????????

So we enter 23/24 season. Man United managed to finish 3rd in prior season, therefore they're eligible to play UCL again. People spoke about Ten Hag's United, that had quite a rough start of the 22/23 season like being battered 4-0 by Brentford, and that 6-3 loss against City, or that awful 7-0 loss against Liverpool which was weirder since they'd just won Carabao Cup prior to that match, that they could be quite an interesting force to watch for the next season, especially with the new addition of Mason Mount (the key player who won Chelsea their 2nd UCL), Andre Onana (a good GK with insane range passing in his weaponry), Hojlund (a promising tall striker that has a lot of potential to be developed) and Altay Bayindir (the turkish goaltending). with a stronger squad, comes with a greater expectation right??? and maybe with an even better squad, our boy Sancho will be even better right???????

you know what at this point i'm too tired to type this shit anymore, but then I remember Gimai Seikatsu's author literally wrote a book in his X (formerly Twitter) account about his in-depth analysis just from the episode 9 of the anime (as shown in here https://x.com/mikawaghost/status/1829156647144677659) and I thought damn I can't give up just yet.

So we enter 23/24 season, won 1-0 against Wolves, lost 2-0 against Spuds, won 3-2 against Forest (all 3 first games had Sancho benched), and then that's it for Sancho's 23/24 season at United.

Ten Hag said he couldn't even give him a bench role against Arsenal because his effort in training wasn't enough to give him a bench role, and he retaliated hard by going to X with his incredibly arrogant, 'did nothin wrong' demeanor, to put quite a strong statement such as this:

"Please don't believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!

All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team. I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!"

>publicly implying that Ten Hag told a lie that he's been lackluster even in the training ground
>" I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what"

off you go you bitch ass punk. He was immediately suspended from the squad, he had to train away from the rest of the team, he didn't even have the right to eat in the cafeteria together with his mates. What an absolutely retarded person to have in your team.

So that's it, 3 fucking PL matches in and he was already sent to the shadow realm, not even played for the reserve team, he's just there rotting away, trained with a personal trainer just to make sure he didn't just sit on his ass, playing FIFA in his PS5 until 2am in the morning while still collecting his premium paycheck. he'd stay like this for almost the next 4 months before being reluctantly loaned to Dortmund so that his transfer value didn't completely reach 0 pounds.
>>
>>144107521
And what did he do at Dortmund? really not much at all. Which is ironic considering he was supposed to be familiar with the league, and hell, familiar is an understatement, he was supposed to completely dominate the league or otherwise United wouldn't come knocking and paid for his lazy ass around 73m pounds with add-ons. He played 21 games at Dortmund, only getting 3 goals and 3 assists in his stay there. Although there was a time when Dortmund's twitter admin got beyond smug just because he produced a 3-minute worth of skill compilation when they played against that sorry ass PSG side, and United fans were meant to be humiliated by such banter.

Of course United fans were proven right in the end, he didn't do anything when he reached UCL final against Madrid, many many take-ons that ended up fruitless because he kept losing the ball anyway which is something that we United fans already got used to see it. Although United fans didn't exactly have the mood merry enough to laugh at this Sancho's downfall since United finished at their lowest PL rank since??? idk back in 80s or 90s I think? I've completely wiped out all my memories of ever watching from this season anyway. but Man United won FA Cup miraculously and that's the reason why United still could play Europa League next season.

So we enter 24/25 season AKA Sancho's 4th season at United. I think it's pretty shambolic Sancho has spent this long at United and he still couldn't reach 20 G+A combined. I kinda had a feeling ten Hag also got tired from everything, from ended up victorious after having his 23/24 season being reviewed by the new partial owner in Jim Ratcliffe, and then he had to return to the training ground and face the same old Sancho with his anger-inducing smile as he got late again for his first training session with United since forever.

At first there was supposed to be an armistice between these two, Ten Hag said that 'a line has been drawn', allowing Sancho to return with everyone else and join with their preseason and even starting for a lot of those preseason games as well. but ultimately I think both guys just knew it just wasn't meant to be. Ten Hag clearly preferred to give Amad some chance and Antony, despite being completely dogshit, has never shown a complete disrespect to ten Hag despite some occasional rants of why he needed to play LB at times. And for Sancho, good lord no one knows what even is in his mind, or is there anything inside his mind.

And the conclusion is Sancho had to leave, he's now being loaned out to Chelsea (despite them having like 6 different players who can play both flank already) and except Chelsea's season gets thrown into a waste land, the clause to make Sancho a permanent Chelsea player will be activated, and that pretty much spells out the last time we ever saw Sancho donning a United jersey, which was kicking a very dogshit penalty which got saved easily and that led to United not winning the Community Shield after Evans' horrible penalty.

I know I wrote a lot, and maybe I specifically wrote this thing just to annoy you all. But I think it makes for a funny journey, to which I traced back every opinions I've gathered throughout the years since the first day Sancho got signed until this very day. just let it be known, I've been against his signing since the first month of his signing, i've fought a countless people on the internet, saying that I was wrong, saying that I only hated his signing because my Daniel James got kicked out due to that, saying that I must've been blind because I couldn't see the skills he showed back when he was at Dortmund along with his impressive G+A there. the debate got heated so much to the point I got kicked out because 'you're just being fucking creepy, dude'. And as a result I moaned about him more on /epl/.
>>
>>144107554
And I can proudly say I've won the battle. I don't know if I'm actually proud of it but in the smallest of chance I'll get to be famous for doing anything else, I'd like to have a small info box on my website that my greatest achievement in life is actually accurately predicting Sancho would be a bust, way ahead of everyone else.

Well 3 years have passed, I hope I don't end up with obsessing other player United have signed or will sign in the future as bas as this dude.

thank you /epl/ may we have a good season.

I think it's true in that the window could be much worse. Also, no sense in spending just for the sake of it. Guys, I created a much better CL format:

1. 16 teams so no shitters
2. 4 pots of 4
3. Every team plays 2 teams from each pot, 1 home and 1 away
4. 5th to 8th play 9th to 12 with the former set of teams having homefield advantage
5. 1st to 4th play the winners of the previous around; again the highest seeded teams have homefield advantage
6. The semi-finals are 2 legs with away goals possibly brought back

This format allows for:
>same number of matchdays
>better games for a better competition
>more games per team so that the money of the competition is spread around more than if you had more knockout games

This is the right format. Only people who don't want Sparta Prague in the competition will disagree, However, these sort of people never argue that Shamrock Rovers should be in the competition a well so we can disregard their opinion as reactionary uncritical wankery.
>>
>>144109150
better format: the rest of Europe make a "super team" and they play Real Madrid. If Madrid win they get a trophy. If Madrid lose the entire Madrid team get kicked in the bollocks by each member of the "super team"

When you are trying to break into the big leagues PSR almost requires you sell a star player in order to act but they don’t want to take the risk. They should have taken the Gordon for Gomez plus cash deal. They would have had this team, kept Minteh/Anderson and had the ability to spend.
>>
>>144109626
i like anderson but only pure sentimentality would keep him in over gordon
>>
>>144109643
You could still have sold him too though. £100m for selling both would mean you could have spent big money with no Europe this year. Now there is a risk that Bruno or Isak get impatient if there’s another mediocre season and force their way out.
>>
>kick out Gallagher and Sterling
Why though? To drop wages? Does the coach not plan with them?
>>

i can't see bruno leaving although his form has oddly declined the more responsibility he's taken on, trippier is (or was) still clearly the unofficial head of the team so if bruno doesn't take his game to the next level i think he might end up being less appealing to the top buyers

i do think isak'll leave maybe even by january, actually isak is my biggest worry because after crock wilson the only other striker is an unknown player who came in from blades and i can tell you already howe will start isak all 38 fixtures for the full 90 minutes and just drain the life out of him

if the gomez swap and starting minteh over a new rw transfer had left the club clearer of psr than without i think i would've taken it, i was surprised how bearish some were about it, the team is desperate for depth and one howe training session away from throwing the reserves on
>>
Why did city not replace Bencho
>>
>>144109893
they replaced him with James McAtee
>>
>United fans shitting on Lindelof for staying
meh, I can't be arsed desu. him moving out wouldn't add much to the money United have earned from selling other players. also he can play LB to an extend and we know the current depth isn't very secured on that position.
not as egregious when United had the likes of Darmian, Jones, Rojo. now THAT's some bullshit scrounger.
>>
>>144109626
Maybe they shouldn't have spunked away over 100 million pounds last year on Barnes, Hall and Livramento only for the three of them to spend most of last season on the bench and they would have had a bit more room to maneuver
>>
>>144110002
Barnes was injured.
>>
With these loan with obligation to buy, I suppose the permanent contract for the player the next year already discussed and signed? Or could you get into an obligation to buy but then the contract negotiations fail

>>

>>
>>144110150
You have to agree terms with the player
>>
>>144110071
Ok he couldn't sit on the bench because he was injured. Either way they've bought poorly since the new owners came in so them blaming it all on PSR is pure cope
>>
I'm a bit disappointed to see Osimhen go to SA. He's one I've always wanted to see try out the PL

Trash transfer window all round though. Nothing exciting and >we just sold our quality depth.
>>
>>144110183
>Either way they've bought poorly since the new owners came in
Have they? You're ignoring Howe in all of this. I'll never forget a gassed Trippier and Burn being forced to play fullback against a Forest team on Boxing Day that raped them with counter-attacks while Livramento and Hall sat on their arses.
>>
>>144110194
Yeah they have, Hall and Livramento are shit. You make a fair point though, the sooner they move on from Eddie Meme the better

I think Hall wasn't one of Howe's even though he checks most of the boxes for a Howe signing. Howe is definitely an "I have my favourites" manager he's also not very hard nosed as when Almiron went on that one brief purple patch it seemed to convince him the RW was settled.

That being said you're replying to shitizen who along with the aussie absolutely slated Barnes so you're wasting your time. Same thread also rinsed Gordon now they're begging for him. /sp/ will always be the worst place to talk about football.
>>
>>144110225
With Barrenchea gone on loan and Carlos invited I guess he's the last resort DM & CB.
>>
>>144110258
I've watched them play. I mean Livramento is ok but Hall is useless. They bought depth when they should have just spend a chunk of money on 1 or 2 players that could go straight into the first 11. Now they've got 2 average fullbacks and the depth is Tripper and Matt Targett. Oh and now they've got Lloyd Kelly too so they've just wasted another 15 million on a player that is never going to improve them. And they've got to play either Barnes or Gordon out of position if they want to use them both

Knew this from his time at Bournemouth. Charlie Daniels and Adam Smith playing as their fullbacks for years was mental.

Yes, I'd gathered that.

Wow, truly exceptional insight.

>Oh and now they've got Lloyd Kelly too so they've just wasted another 15 million on a player that is never going to improve them.
That's Lloyd Kelly who was signed on a free transfer. Not £15m.

Anyway, what did I miss?

Have zero time for PL clubs suggesting PSR "forced" them to do this and that. Lads, your club makes the kind of money 99% of other clubs in the world can only dream of. If you still manage to lose 100+ million over a 3 year period perhaps - perhaps - the rules aren't the problem.
