.

Prior to a 26-yard completion to Brenton Strange on third-and-10 with 10:09 left in the third, Trevor Lawrence had completed just five of 16 passes for 16 yards. Schwartz's defense had the Jaguars in a vice grip, pressuring Lawrence, closing passing windows and denying most everything for more than two quarters. Jacksonville found a way to make it interesting in the fourth, but the game's most decisive play -- an Alex Wright sack of Lawrence in the end zone for a safety -- defined the day for a Browns defense that rediscovered its stifling style from 2023.

I think everyone accepts the Patriots will lose to the Jets. It's how they lose that determines whether or not Maye starts before week 7.
If Brissett keeps forgetting he's supposed to throw the ball to receivers, they kinda have to start Maye ASAP.

Say a commute is 30 minutes each way...that's an hour a day. Plus, you're going into an office so you have to spend like 30 minutes every morning getting home. If you get a lunch break in an office your options are wasting it commuting to some place for a $15 burrito or bring something from home and eating it in a windowless and depressing break room. If there's a snow storm or bad weather that's an extra hour commuting or more. If you drive it's wear and tear on your car which averages 25 cents per mile...plus gas etc

There's around 260 work days a year...so a total of an hour commute and spending time getting ready to go to your office job, that's around 390 hours a year. That's roughly 10 forty hour work weeks per year built into your job. So that's easily worth and extra two and a half months pay. This isn't even taking into account how shitty life is when working in an office
>>
>>144497628

You’re not directly providing any value to the company just by going to the physical location of the office. You could just as easily argue you should be compensated for sleeping.
>>
Murray and Marvin Harrison Jr. might just be the next great QB/WR combo. They hooked up for an easy 130 yards and two touchdowns, rendering Harrison’s unspectacular rookie debut last week a moot issue. Harrison was the best player on the field in college; why would anyone think he’d be the worst in the NFL? James Conner (122 yards rushing, 1 touchdown) has found his mojo this season too, and the result is an offense that’s as lethal as expected. But don’t discount the Cardinals' defense, either; it takes weight to shut down a Sean McVay/Matthew Stafford offense the way Arizona did Sunday. We’re not yet ready to write in Arizona as an NFC favorite, but it has all the pieces necessary to elbow into the playoff conversation.

Kelce is washed and Pacheco is dead. Their offense is 99% Mahomes to Rice and 1% Worthy meme/gadget plays. That's not even good enough for the playoff bye, much less undefeated.
>>

I never said anything about the playoffs. All I said is that this was a fluke loss for the Cowboys, which it was. Meanwhile, the Lions had the clear worst loss of the season so far. They won't recover from it.

They lost to Baker Memefield. Not sure if they'll mentally recover from that. They got the Cardinals next. Kyler Murry is also a 6 foot midget but is significantly more faster than Mayfield. Lions could go 0-3 which is a death sentence. No team has won after going 0-3.

As the heavy metal doors to the Philadelphia visitor locker room closed, nothing and nobody was safe.

Atlanta Falcons team owner Arthur Blank’s plaid gray suit and dark pocket square were not off-limits as his players jubilantly sprayed water to celebrate a 22-21 prime-time upset of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Head coach Raheem Morris was doused so thoroughly he could not read the ink on the paper box score he had received moments earlier

Rookie first-round quarterback Michael Penix Jr. tried to stay out of the spray zone, but “it was a lot of water thrown,” he told Yahoo Sports. “Everybody just excited for the first win of the season.”

a franchise riding six straight losing seasons needs to start its turnaround somewhere. Amid soggy box scores and spotted suits at the club’s first Monday Night Football appearance in three years and 11 months, they did.

“I can't remember a comeback win like this in a minute, and to be a part of it like that was something special,” Falcons 2022 first-round pick Drake London said after catching the winning touchdown. “There's a lot of doubters and a lot of naysayers. And I don't wanna say we shut them up because we got a lot of work to do.
...
Cousins:
“You can never say, ‘Oh, we unlock things and now it's going to be this or that way,’” Cousins said. But “coming from behind, finding a way on the road in a tough environment against a good football team, that builds resolve … that we're going to have to lean on as the year goes on.

“The more we can be battle-tested and have these moments, I think it would set us up well for what's coming down the road.”

Unhappy coach-WB pairing

Usually when coaches criticize a quarterback, they do so with a gentle touch. It was surprising to hear Brian Callahan not hold back on Will Levis after Sunday's loss. Callahan called a bad first-half fumble in the red zone "dumb" and said Levis was "a grownup and he knows better." Wow. Maybe that says something about the coach's style. Maybe it says the quarterback is already in trouble. It was stunning either way.

Now he's shitting on the current generation to create the false narrative that his gen was superior. This is false, in his days QBs handed the ball off to running backs 50% of the time and they relied on defense. QBs of today are asked to do more in college and have better passer ratings on average. WRs and corners are more athletic and are constantly breaking combine stats. Even the kickers are stronger who make 50 yard kicks with ease which used to be special in Brady's era.

If you dropped the entire Kansas City Chiefs into the era Brady started in, Mahomes would be a less effective and injury prone version of Favre and the Chiefs would only have their old rings from the 70s. Pic very much related. This hit on Mahomes now would get the player immediately ejected and likely a multi game suspension afterwards.

Also it's retarded to compare players from different eras. Using your logic, Philip Rivers is a better QB than John Elway and Joe Montana.

Eagles loss was worse. they let Kirk Cousins in his 2nd game on a new team drive the length of the field for a game winning touchdown pass they had to have to win the game. they should be rioting in Philly.

I’m still convinced if CJGJ didn’t run his mouth at half time, the lions would have made the Super Bowl.

Carolina isn't letting him go unless they get a good return. He will ride the bench in hopes that he proves himself in practice or dalton sucks ass too or gets injured so he starts again.
It's gotta be all mental to be playing like that, he has played great in a few games last year.

Gisele is beautiful. Was one more shitty season really worth losing her?

I'll take option two which is the Will Levis option. I would compare him to Brett Favre how had great measurable but was retarded with the ball. If you get a good coach like Mike Holmgren though, you can potentially make him into a proper QB. In general, I'll probably take gifted physical characteristics because you can teach stuff like technique but not speed or strength. Young Von Miller is a good example of that.

>This hit on Mahomes now would get the player immediately ejected and likely a multi game suspension afterwards.

no it wouldn't, it's a shoulder tackle, doesn't touch his head, not a penalty then, not a penalty now

Yes. He was also insanely great as well. Idk how it's possible but he existed on both extremes for nearly 2 decades.

>statpadder
im so sick of /nfl/tards using this word as if it means something. you mean getting yards to put your team in the position to beat the opponents is considered statpadding? Do you know what that word means?

It happens, guys are drinking every chance they get to stay hydrated and they are constantly getting hit in the stomach . What's really rare is when a player shits themself
