Why do football leagues become so uneven, like look at ligue un, psg has won 10 of the last 12 seasons. It gets so boring when you know who's gonna win the league 90% of the time and that your team will basically win every match.
>>144517102Most massive clubs are at capital cities or other massive cities and have automatically bigger fanbases which means more money
Paris metropolitan area is like 20% of France both in terms of population and GDP. Reminds me of that mathematic law proposed by a guy with a funny surname.
>>144517144That's true but there's likely more people who watch football online or on tv now than there is going to games
>>144517102It's for that 10 % like with Leicester
>>144517183
>>144517200Clubs make money through tv deals too. Also merch and shirts. How many man shitty shirts do you see in dubai or namibia? In contrast who wears Fulham stuff outside their home base. The smaller clubs survive selling off their talent to the big guys with money who keep the club winning. Its a well oiled hypercapitalistic machine.
>>144517102Ligue 1 is irrelevant outside france and french football fanbases are hooligan INFESTED
>>144517102it's funny how PSG still can't match and beat what OL did at the start of the century
>>144517144>>144517102>>144517404St Etienne was the only sovl french club. Its just an african farmers league.
>>144517102>psg has won 10 of the last 12 seasons.I still remember Lyon walking the league every year.
>>144517423Paris is basically just an African city
>>144517102>>144517144The massive income from fanbases isn't that much to do with the cities. Once they win a few trophies and more importantly sign some marquee players they get millions of new third world fans which provides the income to squash any rivals and its game over.Obviously its harder to market a post industrial backwater this way but the principle is the same.tl;dr plastics make parity impossible
>>144518602the solution is development of turd world leagues, or the ultimate solution of a firewall around Europe
Sounds like a soccer people problem
why are niggers talking about fanbases or locations when the reason for psg's - and really, any club's - national dominance is because they have the most money. and they have that money from investors and/or sponsors.psg or city are not spending 10 times their next rival because they have more fans, they do it because they got oil money to buy success
>>144518658the issue is that we never get any of the "good" Saudi or Amerifat owners, all the clubs that turn into private entities end up being managed by retarded Mexican businessmen who have no idea of how to manage a club or low tier Americans that only come to accumulate debt for the team and leave it to die off after they are done "investing".Foster Gillett, the retard that nearly bankrupted Liverpool back in 2010 decided to put down 120m to aid Estudiantes de la Plata, a club from here, because he wants to have negotiating power once SADs get institutionalized to buy the whole club
because you don’t have salary caps or a draft to maintain parity so it’s all about which rich Arab can spend the most on overpriced Africans
>>144518811>chefs in owl like 5 straight years
>>144517102It's simply because there's no draft system, the best young players aren't forced to go the lesser teams, therefore they always choose to go to the richest most successful teams and it becomes completely lopsided. The promotion/relegation system stands in the way of implementing something like this.
>>144517144The Premier League does it right with its even distribution of TV money and also having multiple big clubs in their big cities so they don't have one club that dominates a big region. Notice how London doesn't have one big club but four actually, same with Manchester, and Liverpool has Everton too.
>>144518819Initially yes but even if FFP was implemented properly now (lol) they'd not fall off at all.>>144518927>salary capsnice idea but not practical>draftremoves all incentive to bring through youth players
>>144519475nah, no club majorily financed by merchandising or whatever you're implying by popularityespecially not the likes of city that put gigantic investments under mere "sponsors" (which happen to be from companies owned by the club owner and paying way more than any other company reasonably would)
data collected
>>144517102that's why we need the rigging. unfortunately, rigging currently benefits only the big clubs
>>144524527You are very smart
