>>1445305881986 was the peak of sports

>>144537211Compared to what it is now, yeah it definitely peaked. They've tried to make the league appeal to a bunch of band wagon hipster soccer fans when the old league used to be fun.>Teams had unique names and logos like Clash and Mutiny, now every thing is just [City Name] FC or some variation of a European team name.>Land run penalty shoot outs.>No ties.>Players who made minimum wage struggling to build something new.Now they have gay pride flags at every game. While the players are somewhat better, it is still nowhere near good enough to compete with the rest of the world. They should have focused on keeping the league American and making the experience fun rather than making the RC Cola version to the European Coca-Cola leagues.
>>144537222You would like to forget late 90's Manchester United, wouldn't you?
>>144537495The team that was dominated by Bayern and only won by two lucky late goals?ManU in 1999 was the Chelsea of 2012
>>144537576>only won by two lucky late goals? All these years later and still coping.
>>144530588>dude did certain thing peak when i was a child and life was simple and my parents weren't divorced yet?????
>>144537211maybe it hasn't even begun to peak
There was no streaming and it was impossible to watch teams outside of your region unless a major network played it as a “primetime” game, plus there were no imageboards to shitpost on, so no.
>>144530588Peak NBA for sure. MLB peaked in the 1970s until the strike in 1981. Peak NFL was probably 1995-2010 or so (when they started making the sport gay).
