NEVER make Fury angry. You're just giving him the fuel he needs to destroy Usuck. It's actually pathetic how many people said he's finished because he didn't show up when he was showboating the entire bout. He got paid multiple millions whilst you chuckled in your smelly bedroom. UNLEASHED Fury has the speed. He has the accuracy. He has the movement. He has the POWER. He has a 70.59% KO rate. Usuck has 66.67%. Fury is 36. Usuck is nearly 38. Fury is a 6'9 BEHEMOTH. Usuck is 6'3. Fury has a 85″ reach advantage. Usuck just 78″. Every single time Fury has turned up when it actually mattered. He destroyed Klitschko. He vanquished Wilder THREE times, let's not forget that he was this unbeatable God yet Fury swatted him like a fly. He dismantled Whyte. He exposed the demigod Chisora. These are the indisputable FACTS. You'd be delusional to not bet it all on The Gypsy King.

Katie Taylor is unironically dogshit, even for a womeme boxer. I dont know why people rate her. She’s been gifted decisions after unconvincing performances where she lands nothing of value but gets hit a lot in the process. This. Yet nobody ever grilled her for it. When robberies happen in men’s boxing, you never hear the end of it. But because nobody care’s about women’s boxing, the so called best female fighter can get away with blatant robberies and nobody bats an eye. Because even the “best” female boxer fights like the best “boxers” of the 1800s era. They have no tact, no technique. Just swing the arms around like bums for two minutes. I dont see why people praise them for that, especially Katie Taylor who just isnt that good, which just makes women’s boxing look like even more of a joke at the end of the day when they prop up a bum like that.
And yes, the “GWOAT” is also an embarrassment, but I’d still rate her higher than Katie Taylor lol.

Staggered a few times, put Usyk back on the back foot. But it's not like he was ever visibly wobbling around. They were damaging shots though. If Fury had sustained that offense, he might have got a knockdown or two.
>>
>>145262920
That last one hurt him, but it's still crazy to me that a genuine heavyweight didn't really take the legs of a cruiserweight

That uppercut in round 6 was the only great punch Fury landed.
But unlike Fury, Usyk kept a great poker face when got tagged (and, by his own admission, hurt).

>>145259779
>So if usyk beats fury, does he fight dubois?
It's the biggest fight he could go for but I'd rather he fought Zhang since he already beat Dubois, I doubt Warren would let that happen though.
>>
Golden boy fight night on YouTube right now
>>
>>145263005
Fury’s never really been known for one shot knockout power. He took down Wilder but Wilder’s just very fragile when you make him uncomfortable. Usyk has infinitely better defense, balance, and conditioning than the likes of a Wilder. “If size were everything than the elephant would be king of the jungle”. But the greedy elephant belly is not the king. The Cat is the king.
>>
>>145266430
I was thinking about this exact thing and I came to the conclusion that: Yes he doesn't have 1 punch KO power, but he's still a heavyweight and all of his shots should be respected. But then I immediately realized he never rocked a cruiserweight, even after landing some really good uppercuts. And now I'm remembering the wilder KOs and they weren't really the result of absolute power like the Dubois KO against AJ or the Zhang KOs against everyone. I wonder if he could make cruiserweight, Fury?
>>
>>145260299
Happy New Year!
>>
>>145266497
No doubt Fury's punches hurt, but because he doesn't really plant his feet I don't think he generates the same power. Those uppercuts were hitting hard though and well placed and timed.

Fury's not the most explosive puncher in the heavyweight division however Usyk is also just particularly durable. He's a tough dude, no way around it.

>I wonder if he could make Cruiserweight, Fury
With how he's generally coming in at 260-270, probably not lol. He'd have to be insanely lean to make 200.

Crawford and Canelo don't have a fight scheduled but there is some speculation on who. However Inoue does have a fight recently announced, see pic related. Bout to turn another Aussie into Maloney Baloney.
>>
I don't think Usyk stops Fury, but he does beat him convincingly again. Only thing Fury has over him is size and power and Usyk easily neutralized that aside from a few rounds
>>
>>145267260
Fury will need to put on a career best performance to win
>>
>>145267186
Oh shit inoue boutta be undisputed in 3(THREE?) weight classes?? Holy shit
>>
>>145262920
>If Fury had sustained that offense, he might have got a knockdown or two.
bullshit, if he had sustained that offense usyk wouldve stopped him earlier, usyk was already landing the left hand in round 6 and 7, queen being more agressive would have only been counterproductive, queen should fight like how she did in rounds 4 and 5 if she wants to have any hopes of winning
>>
>>145267294
That would make him the first to do so in the four belt era if I'm not mistaken, pretty epic
>>
>>145267433
When I say sustained offense that's not exactly what I mean, but I see what you're saying. I still think Fury has the potential to hurt Usyk in a big way if he stays unpredictable with his punch selection and doesn't fall asleep at the wheel with his defense. Like I said before, he'd have to be picture perfect to do so, and I don't really see that happening. But I think the ingredients are there, would just require a masterful performance from Fury.
>>
>>145267547
>he'd have to be picture perfect to do so, and I don't really see that happening. But I think the ingredients are there, would just require a masterful performance from Fury.
the last time she did something remotely close to that was during the klitschko fight but we are talking about a fight that happned almost 10 years ago that involved a very different guy in klitschko and a queen that was able to make one of most boring HW fights from the past 2 decades

Rumours of Bam fighting Choclatito in mid 2025. I thought he beat Estrada the last time they fought, and he's recently been more active than Estrada so ring rust would be less of a factor. But at the same time he's 38 and I would prefer Bam to take on one of the younger champs at his weight. At the same time however I understand why he would be fighting him, I couldn't even name you the champs at that weight class excluding Bam and it's a massive boost to Bams legacy to have the modern, smaller equivalent to the 4 kings all on your resume at such a young age, whether they are slightly past their best or not.
Ideally I'd want Estrada to fight and win someone else's belt first, there would be a better justification for the fight happening then

1.No showboating, he lost a few early rounds because he was playing around which he won’t do this time, even if he fights the exact same way without showboating he should win a decision
2. He’s going to fight with a tighter guard and not let as many shots through instead of relying on head movement
3. He doesn’t have a cut which interrupted his camp meaning he can prepare fully and have the best conditioning possible
4. He knows he has to win this fight decisively which means winning by a dominant decision or KO
5. He caught Usyk with an uppercut before Usyk hurt him, if he had the fitness to capitalise on that he would have KO’d him, but he couldn’t because the cut stopped his training camp.

>>145269736
You've got it backwards, he wasn't losing in the early rounds (1-3) BECAUSE of the showboating, he was showboating because he knew he was losing those rounds and wanted to make them seem closer than they actually were to the judges (which worked for one of the judges). It wasn't like he just wasn't taking the rounds seriously
And as for the sparring camp cut stuff, if anything all that did was give him more time to prepare for the flight, he got a new full camp after the cut didnt he?
The only 2 things I somewhat agree with here is that he didn't capitalise enough on hurting usyk and that he needs to change his style for the fight. However I disagree that what he needs is a tighter guard, Tyson has always been a mover who likes to keep his hands low, he was at his best in the usyk fight when he fought of the back foot and lured usyk in, what he needs to do is to lean even more heavily towards that. In order to that however, I believe he needs to do one thing that a truly don't believe he can do: he needs to lose a lot of weight, like Fury Vs Wilder 1 type weight. Usyk is not a wilder or a Cunningham, he's not someone fury can just smother on the inside as he's very savvy in those areas, he's someone that fury needs to box to his absolute best abilities for 12 rounds, which I'm not sure he can do anymore

>>
>>145269797
He doesn’t need to lose weight, he just needs to be fitter which he will be because his sparring won’t be stopped this time.

He wasn’t showboating to try convince the judges. He was just having a laugh because that’s his personality, won’t be showboating this time though.

All he needs to do is stay behind his jab and uppercut and not get caught and he wins, it’s not really that complicated.

Speedy Rashidi Ellis returns tonight to face
Brian Damian Chaves in a tune up fight, Brian has the stellar record of 14(5) wins and 5 loses, all loses by KO. Ellis KO in 1 or 2. Tomorrow Catterall vs Prograis, Regis I think has slipped, may do better against Jack then Devin, but I got Catterall winning a clear decision.

Campbell Hatton is a late developer, you can see that.

He’d only get decent at the age of 27 onwards.

Thing is though his weight category is brutal to late developers. You’re pretty much washed up by 30.

Shame, I honestly do see potential for him but he’s gone too quick.

When I say potential, I don’t mean world title, he could win an English belt or something.
>>
hatton 2 is a funny problem, he is clearly a bum, we have seen it throughout his career where he has already gotten away with dodgy decisions against club fighters, but he supposedly draws a big crowd, he even had bivol on his undercard once.

How does Jack 'El Gato' Catterall do against your Devin Haney's, your Teofimo Lopez's and your Liam Paro's?
>>
>>145306396
Harsh calling it mid. Everyone wrote Prograis off completely going in, I always thought he was better than the Haney fight made people think he was
>>
>>145306407
He could probably beat Haney, Lopez and Paro beat him tho. Haney's cooked after Loma and Garcia battered him.
>>
>>145306441
>Everyone wrote Prograis off completely going in
Prograis work just wasn't that impressive at the end of the day. His 'knockdown' hardly felt like one, but the times he got knocked down were serious. I don't think people were wrong to write off Prograis because Catteral won this pretty decisively. Prograis still has things about him that are dangerous, but he's a very beatable fighter, more and more so with each fight.
>>
>>145306446
I guess they're lining him for Lopez (WBO)
>>
>>145306407
In my eyes I still think he's a stylistic nightmare for Teo. Also think him vs Paro is 50/50. Think he loses to Haney though
>>
Britainwinslol
>>
>>145306407
Haney and Teofimo are shit and have struggled with non-elite guys. That being said, Catteral isn't exactly elite but he might beat them anyway.
Liam Paro vs Catteral would probably be a pretty good fight.
>>
Prograis should have kept rolling the dice from the 5th round onwards. He should have acknowledged that he can't outbox Catterall and adjust accordingly. A bum boxer with a bum corner.
>>
>>145306407
I think he can win against Teofimo and that's the fight that's hopefully happening next, jacky deserves the chance and we saw Teofimo struggle against sandor martin and lose to kambosos so i don't think it's that far fetched

Teo is somehow good against people you expect him to struggle with and terrible against people you expect him to beat. I suppose you'd expect Teofimo to beat Catterall, therefore he loses (unless that means now you expect him to lose so he wins?)
>>
>>145306732
Teo would school Jack. Teo is underrated.
>>
>>145306825
Teo lost to Kambosos, should've drew to Martin and should've lost to Ortiz
He is terrible against backfoot heavy fighters like Catteral, he never feels the urgency to cut them off like say Regis did at times tonight, he tries to beat them at their own game outboxing them from range
>>
>>145295119
my boy moorat just needs a little more time....

He's inconsistent so I can't rely on him to win, that's what it comes down to. Catteral is more consistent as a fighter.

>should've drew to Martin
Nah, Teo lost that fight too. I thought it was pretty clearly a Sandor win as Teo really didn't land hardly any punches that night.

I made fun of his nonce boyfriend for being morbidly obese (specifically 131kg at likely less than 6'0) about 10 days ago and he's took it to heart ever since. Just checked there on 4plebs by putting 5'9 and Finland into the search bar, niggas been posting about me on /heem/ every time he sees an irish flag for the last week kek, I think he needs a new hobby
>>
>>145309019
Yes it was pretty good, maybe skip the first few rounds as it took about 4 rounds to heat up but once it did it was a fun watch. Prograis looked much more threatening than he did against Haney, Catteral showed a good bit of grit also

He admitted he is 5'9 and 72 kilograms which is what the average woman here stands and weighs at I don't mind the mick otherwise and think it's sad he's scared to admit it's his height. Look up the flag and 5'9 and you should find his original post. No shame in being a child size person but then you shouldn't talk wreckless (like deadbeatdadstreetwalkermomstonia)

I just watched the recent highlights of Catterall vs. Prograis on YouTube. I noticed how quickly the referee, along with some employed observers, evaluates knockdowns and counts them with unusual accuracy. This change is good for boxing and will drastically improve the quality of life for these boxers. It will help the audience understand the judges' scorecards better and will lessen the occurrence of robberies. It will also answer these misleadingly simplistic claims by MMA sloppers on YouTube that MMA is safer than boxing.

And most importantly, it will attract intelligent amateurs who are self-conscious about their well-being to try professional boxing, thereby improving the sport's competition so we can finally get rid of these diva boxers and unproductive matchups against bums.

However, there are some important issues with this 'safe' boxing, and the major one I'd like to point out is that it will probably decrease the PPV revenue of these big fights because it diminishes the stakes and excitement of professional boxing. Or maybe it's the opposite. This change might give boxers the confidence to try more complex combinations, knowing that the referee will make a safer call, which would increase the activity of the fight and make it more captivating for the casuals.

Thoughts?

Prograis has shit fundamentals, he's been rolling the dice his whole boxing career.

Hmm, maybe I'm overthinking things. Perhaps the referee in that fight was simply that good. That knockout timer is a nice addition, though.

Just watched Catterall Prograis. Good fight. Scorecards a little bit wide for my liking. but the right man won. I just don't like watching Catterall guys. Dude has a very ugly style. He kind of just kills the fight and sits on the counter. Good for him. i just don't like watching it. Is Caterall ready for Haney or Teo? Maybe he should fight Martin next. And just wait and see what version of Haney returns. Teo will struggle with Caterall I suspect. He's just too awkward.

Do you see Bivol as Asian or Caucasian?

Kinda weird how he doesn't go completely limp, which is why his head doesn't hit first, nor does he lock up, which would explain why he caught his weight on his elbows. Boy got whipped then fake fainted for sympathy

21st December, all the heavyweight belts will be back home.

This will pave way Fury vs Dubois, the true undisputed fight.

Considering Dubois knocked Usyk down for 5 minutes with a legal shot.

Beterbiev says he's not interested in a Bivol rematch. This is the Chad move desu. Tired of everything having a rematch

Shitterbiev running away like a pussy after that robbery. Sad!

hate how that fight, good as it was, didn’t resolve anything
>>
>>145323240
I have a feeling the rematch would be more of the same, maybe a decision in the opposite direction but just as close. They're just too evenly matched but the problem for Bivol is it didn't appear he could really hurt Beterbiev with his best punches so idk, it feels like GGG/Canelo where you just know every fight is gonna go 12 and that takes a lot of the intrigue out of it for me.
>>
>>145322833
Not really a surprise. He ran away from AJ all his career. Why would he fight someone who knock AJ out like that? Dubois has a chance to control the new era of HW if Usyk retires/goes CW post Fury. I rather have Parker v Dubois, anyway.

The similar problem between Canelovs GGG and Beterbiev vs Bivol is knowing that if GGG and Beterbiev were a few years younger, they would have decisively won. Not that bivol was ducking or anything

That arguments bullshit, Beterbiev has literally never looked like he's declined much in older age, hell I'd argue he's only looked better as hes got older, his best ever performance came against Smith imo. His weaker performances came when he was younger like against Gvozdyk
