My picks for 10/28: we had a kind of rough week to start the season, mostly off of one really bad day. But that's how it goes this early. I'm confident we will have a profitable week here. New week, new money-making opportunities. Without further ado, let's smash those bookies.

I think we're getting a good value, buy low spot here after Pacers were defeated in OT by the 76ers in their home opener. Pacers still have all the same players that up crazy offensive numbers last year and I'm not ready to hop off that ATS gravy train yet. Magic are a good team, but most of their value last year came from them being underrated and undervalued. Now that the public has caught up, I think they are just a little too overvalued here at -7.5. Take the Pacers to get the bounce-back cover.

Hawks were the absolute worst ATS team last season and we made a ton of money fading them. They are currently the worst ATS team in the league again this year, failing to cover in all 3 of their games so far. Wizards covered the spread in 3 out of the 4 h2h matchups between these two teams last season. No way in hell I'm laying 8 points with the Hawks.

This is going to be an unpopular pick with a certain poster here, but the Heat have been horrendous at home the last few years. They were 17-27 ATS at home last season. Pistons covered the large spread in their last game against the Celtics and I think they cover this fairly sizeable spread in Miami tonight.

I think Mavs are being highly overvalued in this spot. Mavs only went 26-25 ATS at home last season. As home favorites, they were only 19-18 ATS. Now the books are asking me to lay 12 points with a team that's this streaky. Nope. Won't do it. Mavs are the better team. Mavs likely win this game, but that's just too many points.
