>>
>>146324775
From an interview published in 2017

>“I was born with a black and blue heart,” Berardi revealed to the Gazzetta, ”because certain things are passed on to their children by their parents, and the faith of my dad Luigi and my brother Francesco won. As a child Ronaldo il Fenomeno filled my eyes, when I was 15 it was Milito's turn: after the Madrid final I took my Inter flag and went with friends to celebrate.”

>“Every kid who loves football has a favorite team, I declared my support for them in unsuspected times, well before people started to speculate about Inter in my future. It's natural: I read that they follow me, of course they talk about it. But I do not talk about it, at the end of the season we will see.”

>While waiting for the possible landing in nerazzurro, Berardi returns to the now famous refusal to go to Juventus: “The no to Juventus, actually, as I said it, was not a no. - specified the Sassuolo forward - Mine was a yes to Sassuolo, and to my teammates. We had just qualified for the Europa League: I wanted to play it with the teammates I had started my career with, I wanted to wait for another year.”

>“And then yes, it's true: I like so much to play,” he admitted, ”and little to do what they tell me to do. Juve did not force me to do anything, but they were pushing a lot for me to go: for me it was a kind of imposition. And how much would I have played? Would so much bench time have been good for me, so young? I confess, Zaza's transfer in Turin somewhat influenced my decition: I counted the minutes Simone had played there, and I decided to opt out.”
>>
>berardi is STILL 30

Cassano on De Ketelaere:

>"He is the strongest player in Serie A today, what excites me most of all is how fantastic he is. He has a unique touch of the ball in the championship, he has a change of pace, he heads up, he has personality. Impressions in Italy but also in Europe now, because that's his level. He might not play at Liverpool with Salah, may not play at the Barcelona with Yamal, but he could play for Real, Bayern Munich instead."

>"It's right to blame Pioli because he had patience with Leao, but less so with the Belgian. When he controls the ball, it reminds me of Kaka, I only saw him do that oriented touch."

>"I think he's destined to go to top teams to play for the Ballon d'Or. é. Leaving Salah alone, today there is only Yamal in front of CDK when it comes to his role."

Hello everybody! Hope you had some great days with your family and friends. Here my short summary of things that happened:
>lot of books as presents
>got a pair of milan socks and diesel parfume
>mom got hysterical because I said I might move to another city next year
>3x "you need to eat more / take another plate because you need to get strong and big"
>1x "you have no girlfriend because you are too slim"
>made everybody laugh when I told them I am already going to the gym and my uncle said "when next year?"
>had to share my room with my 11yo cousin who slept in my bed while I had to sleep on the ground
>he deleted my witcher 3 game, which I havekt played in two years but it still made me angry
>he also told me maybe I have no girlfriend because I only have a single bed
>made a chocolat crumb cake that everybody liked
>saw a girl in church that I once had a relationship with and she now has an indian boyfriend
It was actually really nice this year. I also gained 2.5kg.
Also also fuck gerry for not wishing Merry christmas to >us.

Big problem I noticed for Aberdeen last week was how easily Hibs broke their buildup with a man to man press.

If a DM dropped in they were followed, Clarkson was never gonna win a header, so any long passes were just punts that gave away possession

Couple of solutions: play a big lad (Ambrose) up top so there's an outball to play off. Purely for buildup.

Other (better for me) is spread the CBs WIDE then have Clarkson drop in. Needed to stretch the Hibs press and create tensions/uncertainties.

So I'd imagine the reason Sokler is dropped and Ambrose is in for today's Killie game is specifically to deal with buildup, even if I don't expect McInnes to play a high m2m press. McGrath will offer far more centrally, hence Duk for Clarkson. It should be better today...

Half time: Killie 1 Aberdeen 0
Dons playing long early, not compact enough, lack progression with passing. Shinnie+Nilsen covering too much space, lack forward passing needed.

Killie getting 1v1 in wide areas and winning, pulling defence around with movement.

tl;dr Abdn = bad

In January 1997, the "Mani Pulite" investigation on Italian politics certified a transfer of 22 billion lire of slush funds from Fininvest's secret safe owned by Silvio Berlusconi and called "All Iberian" to a foreign account held by politician Bettino Craxi. This discovery caused a widening of the investigation that brought to light, after a series of rogatory letters, a system of pyramid transfers of illegal money in favor of AC Milan players: as much as 122.5 billion lire (61 million Euros) passed into the current accounts located in several tax havens of some Rossoneri players in the 1991-1994 period

The total of slush funds rose to 190 billion lire (95 million Euros), considering the years up to 1997. In summary, for the three Scudetto seasons of Capello's Milan, 20 million Euros were annually paid out illegally as extra salaries to Milan's players: all, of course, tax-free. The cover is one of Fininvest's countless fake companies, the "News and Sport Time", that was supposed to take care of the players' image rights, but it never happened

Money was paid to the players but the puppet companies did not then "use" the players for advertising means. That money, which went out the door, would come back in the window to the athletes' account, as additional but "tax-free" compensation. Fun fact: the names on the slush funds list would be coded using the last two letters of the players' first and last name. Stefano Eranio for example would thus become "Noio"

Ranking of emoluments paid to Milan players through slush funds: Van Basten 42.645 billion lire, Gullit 18.271 billion, Lentini 25.880 billion, Rijkaard 8 billion, Papin 4.889 billion, Baresi 4.500 billion, Maldini 4.355 billion, De Napoli 1.297 billion, Panucci 1.177 billion, Eranio 760 million, Tassotti 520 million, Savicevic 441 million

The All Iberian trial ended on 22 November 2000, when Corte di Cassazione declared Silvio Berlusconi's acquittal due to the statute of limitations of the offense

If you want to know how, when, and by whom Calciopoli was masterminded, look up the underworld relationships between convicted Telecom Italia spy and wiretapper Giuliano Tavaroli, Telecom Italia chairman/inter Milan CEO/Pirelli CEO Marco Tronchetti Provera, former player and Inter president Giacinto Facchetti, and Inter owner Massimo Moratti.

A brief extract of the words from spy Giovanni Tavaroli about the illegal doxxing activity ordered to him by Massimo Moratti (Inter owner at the time):
>"At the end of 2002 I met with Inter owner Moratti and Inter president Facchetti. The Nerazzurri president told me that he had been approached by a referee (Nucini), who had told him that De Santis was the head of a gang headed by Moggi. Nucini said he was willing to reveal everything in exchange for a job within Inter's football club. Inter president Facchetti later asked me to verify what Nucini had said, especially about referee De Santis. I made my own investigations to see if the numbers that I had at my disposal were actually those of people belonging to the football world, and I put forward two hypotheses to Facchetti: either to go to the Prosecutor's Office and denounce what Nucini had said or to collaborate as a confidential source. But I understand that Inter subsequently presented only one complaint to the Public Prosecutor's Office, which they did not uphold."

Tavaroli often explained how he was ordered by the Inter management to tail the former referee, to check (illegally) his bank accounts and phone records of the FIGC, of Moggi, of some Gea members, and also those of some referees such as Ceniccola and De Santis himself. A case that closely resembles the one involving Christian Vieri (stalked by the Inter at that very time) which suggests that such illegal stalking were routine practices on the part of the Inter management.

Always has been, yeah.
Inter has historically always been the Milanese bourgeoisie club while Milan the working class one.
Berlusconi buying the club (just to win those people over btw) kind of changed the perception of the club's fanbase but even now you can clearly tell which part of the city the Milanese fans are from.

>Lazio, as is well known, has the need to intervene in the market to reinforce the midfield. It remains to be seen whether it will go for an under-22 profile or free up a Serie A roster spot with the farewell of Castrovilli. According to reports in Corriere dello Sport, the Biancocelesti have not given up on the Jacopo Fazzini track. In fact, a survey has been carried out for the class of 2003. Empoli's valuation of the player would be around 15 million euros. Should Lotito decide to sink the blow for the midfielder of the Tuscan formation, we could consider it an "early purchase," considering that in June an investment on the midfielder was already on the agenda.
I hope this is true he is good

>For a Juve-Inter match, Beretta struggled to find tickets, learning that the Rossoneri in Turin had fared better because in the two clubs, the managers in charge of relations with the supporters (supporter liaison officer) had agreed to channel 2,000 tickets to a ticket office, which were then purchased by the ultras. So Beretta pushed for the same scheme with Inter. But the supporter liaison officer of Inter, Massimiliano Silva, wasn't having it: "I receive a call - Beretta recounts - and this guy starts insulting me ("I don't give a f... about you, I don't get into trouble for you"), an argument breaks out on the phone, I resist for ten seconds and then I go apeshit, 'you broke my balls, come here and I'll beat you to death' I told him, the usual things. It degenerated, he hangs up the phone on me and goes straight to Digos to tell them that I had threatened him on the phone, and Digos tells him ‘OK, we'll take your complaint, but it must be made on company letterhead’. So he goes to the club, starts writing, Claudio Sala (Inter manager in charge of first team security, ed) passes by and says ‘What the hell are you doing? Does the director (Marotta, ed) know about this? Let's warn him before you get the company into trouble'. And then Marotta came by and said to Silva: ‘Look, if you want to make the complaint you do it in your name, not in the club's name’. And how did he know this? Beretta: "Claudio Sala told me. And that time there, Marotta saved me from mafia-related charges"
