its hard to know how xavi and muani will turn out but i think it could end up really good
one interesting fact about muani is for his entire career he has only been out "injured" twice, both missed a single game each and were due to illness not a muscle injury, the opposite of richarlison
almost seems like tempting fate bringing that to spurs after last season

Villa sign Elliott from Liverpool

Aston Villa have completed the signing of Harvey Elliott from Liverpool initially on loan with an obligation to buy.

The deal comes with an obligation to buy in a package worth £35m, including sell-on and buy-back clauses.

The 22-year-old forward who has found first-team opportunities limited at Liverpool also had interest from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

Man Utd sign goalkeeper Lammens

Manchester United have signed goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp.

The deal for the 23-year-old is worth around £18.2m plus add-ons.

United held talks for Emi Martinez from Aston Villa but it was decided that Lammens was the best choice.

Lammens' skill as a shot-stopped impressed United. No keeper made more saves in Europe's top 10 leagues last season and he had one of the highest goals prevented metrics in Europe.

He also made the most progressive passes for any goalkeeper under the age of 23.

What's really weird is how Liverpool fans are absolutely buzzing despite the way he's acted. He's not some boyhood Liverpool fan seeing his dreams come true. He wanted to join Liverpool because they were offering him £300kpw and the only ones willing to buy him now when no one else was. Which is another thing. Did it never seem strange to anyone else how many clubs need strikers, how few strikers are on the market, how a world class striker was agitating for a move, and no one else was interested? Feels like every other club knew how much of a cunt he was and didn't want any part of it.
When I was a younger man I was fucking this bird. Tasty little crumpet she was. The only spanner in the works was that she already had a bf. I thought my older brother would be impressed by my chadness when I told him, but he wasn't. Instead he only seemed concerned. It all fell on deaf ears because I'm based. Anyway she ended up leaving her bf and going out with me, the based chad. It lasted maybe 6 months before she started fucking someone else and we broke up. All I really thought about afterwards was what my brother had told me at the start - if she could do it with me, then she could also do it to me.

Liverpool fans should remember my lesson in 2-3 years when Isak acts the exact same way as he has at Newcastle to move to Real Madrid or Barcelona. Whatever you do, don't say you weren't warned.

He's almost nailed on to rediscover that Sociedad form. He's a huge confidence player as in he gets his confidence from the backing of the crowd. Liverpool are as famous for turning on players as they are for sending the ones they like death threats. Not only that, but Slotto has bought too many players in similar positions and you can't keep everyone happy. He's already divided the house and you know what happens then.
>>
>>150541854
What other club could get him? Newcastle signaled that they weren't going to sell him no matter what. He didn't decide to publicly announce that he wanted out until Arsenal already got their main striker in Gyökeres. By that point it was evident that he was tapped up by Liverpool and only wanted to go there anyway. It's not like Barcelona and Real Madrid could afford to throw 150 mil pounds like Newcastle were demanding.

Not a single one of these players is any where near your Ibras, Kanes, Rooneys, Bayols, Lewas, your >Torres, your Van Persies, your Drogbas.

It’s not even inflation either. Inflation is paying more for the same thing. None of these shitter zoomers will get anywhere close to those careers.

Its the same at all non-sky 6 clubs. As soon as a player becomes good they know a sky 6 club will pay them far more than their own club can and at that point they're as good as gone.
Don't get any good players is the key.

Honest question/discussion, why do some Man Utd fans keep trying to exculpate Amorims results with “well it’s the players that aren’t good enough!”. Like if you buy better players you get better results obviously but how can you not make that same argument for every manager ever? Why would that train of thought not also apply for like Sean Dyche or the like? He is a Portuguese manager that can’t communicate his ideas to Bruno or Dalot, his own countrymen! That’s like a lemonade stand that can’t press their own lemons imo

>Grimsby Town have been fined £20,000 for fielding an ineligible player in their famous Carabao Cup win against Manchester United.

>The Mariners knocked out the Premier League club on penalties after the tie finished 2-2 after 90 minutes.

>The League Two side brought on midfielder Clarke Oduor, who had joined on loan the day before from Bradford City, as a substitute but later realised he had been registered one minute after the 12:00 BST deadline.

>In a statement the EFL said Grimsby reported the breach themselves and the "club's non-compliance was not deliberate with no intention to deceive or mislead".

>They must pay £10,000, with the remaining £10,000 suspended until the end of the season.

Ineligible players don't get a team thrown out of the League Cup. It happened with Liverpool years back: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/oct/02/liverpool-carabao-cup-mk-dons-fine-ineligible-player

>Liverpool have been fined £200,000 for fielding an ineligible player during their 2-0 win over MK Dons in the Carabao Cup.

>The Premier League leaders could have been expelled from the competition after it came to light they had played the midfielder Pedro Chirivella in the third-round tie without the necessary international clearance. Instead, the European champions have been punished with a fine, £100,000 of which is suspended.

>The issue surrounded Chirivella, who came off the bench in the 63rd minute, and the absence of an international transfer certificate – required after the 22-year-old returned from a loan spell with the Spanish club Extremadura.

>The EFL said in a statement: “Following a comprehensive review of all the evidence, the board determined that it wasn’t appropriate to expel the club from the competition because of a number of mitigating factors.”

BBC had two more examples:

>In 2016, Accrington Stanley received a suspended fine of £5,000 for fielding Janoi Donacien in their first two matches of the season - a League Two victory against Doncaster Rovers as well as a first-round EFL Cup win over Bradford City. Donacien had not received international clearance following the expiration of a loan spell at Newport County in the previous season.

>In August 2013, Sunderland were fined £25,000 for fielding Ji Dong-won, who was ineligible, in an EFL Cup win against MK Dons. Sunderland were also fined by the Premier League for fielding the ineligible Ji multiple times during that season.

>Guéhi is believed to have been left bitterly disappointed by the U-turn, with the deal so far advanced that Palace had already signed off a farewell video that has since been leaked online and ends with the words “Thank you Skip”. A private jet had also been lined up to take Guéhi to Merseyside that evening. There is no suggestion that he will not play for Palace again, although one source close to Guéhi has said that he is considering whether to continue as captain.

>In stark comparison to Alexander Isak – who effectively went on strike to force through his move to Anfield – the former Chelsea player is said to feel that he acted correctly during all the transfer speculation by continuing to play for Palace. Other members of the squad are also believed to be upset that Guéhi was denied his move. He is expected to release a statement shortly.
