It's Slurper Sunday lads

United are never turning it around. I like how they sacked the stubborn manager (who actually changed tactics in his first season 2 matches in) to hire an even more stubborn manager

It seems Spurs customers have realized they got scammed with Xavi Simons

Obviously being a PSG plastic that imbecile has zero understanding of that as a concept.

Today the local Scouse rag - one of only two permitted news sources on RAWK* - finally started talking about Wirtz's underperformance this season
https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/florian-wirtz-nagging-liverpool-suspicion-32565627
Even then it's still 'oh it's too early' and all that but it's the very first time they've spoken about him in an even slightly negative manner.
*you can get an IP ban if you post stories from elsewhere, such as when Ekitike was Snapchatting as he drove which the Echo did not cover at all and therefore 'it didn't happen'

They don't realise it yet, but yanited is already finished. They have coasted since Ferguson retired with regular CL qualification, missing out is going to cripple them financially. Because I went out of my way to pull up the article on the Waybackmachine and open a snapshot of the article on 22nd October 2023 and the most recent snapshot from the 30th July 2025 and used the comparison tool. The only thing that changed is the presentation of the text, specifically titles and such. Eg. The bit that says "What is handball in soccer/football?" used to say "DEFINITION". The body of text in regards to the rules are unchanged. The 2025 changes were to the logo and copyrights at the bottom of the page.

That doesn't prove me wrong at all. Again, it's like pulling up the "Francis elected pope!" article on BBC and claiming Francis must still be the pope because there's nothing in the article that says he's dead and buried. They updated the footer on the page. They have made no changes other than copyright/logo updates since 2023 to that page. It's an old article that is being treated like an old article. The IFAB laws have their own website and they have no mention of the law you think exists.

You know for certain they updated the wording of the article to no longer have the word "DEFINITION" in it at some point since 2023. Therefore they have reviewed the body of text and concluded that this was the only change warranted. Which means the rule there, and its application, is still valid.

I've said it once (I think) and I'll do it again:
Amorim is not the problem. Or rather, not one, singular, man (player, manager, physio, whatever) is ManU's problem. The whole organization stinks. Playing the blaming game and getting rid of singular people every now and then not only does not fix anything, it furthers them into the hole they're in. Ten Fag got the sack and now Amateurim is doing just as bad (if not worse); Onana is out and "Onana in disguise" just showed up etc. etc. etc..
Stop with the delusions of grandiose and start fixing shit behind the scenes and good results might just start happening again.
I unironically think relegation _could_ do them good in this junction (don't think it'd start a complete collapse and dissolution of the whole club), but what do I know.

they're trying to get good players but some positions are still filled with low IQ players
amorim's failure to adapt his strategy or system to the players he has. I'm not saying he should change it simply to try something new, because despite his stubbornness with his formation, he's proven he can change certain tactics and achieve something during the match
i think ratcliff is the first non retard manager they've had in like 10 years

Man United bring in Xavi as interim until the end of the season and then go for a proper manager to set them up for next season, Gareth Southgate. That is the best possible /mug/ timeline you can imagine.

Burnley and Wolves seem like the most certain candidates. The third team will probably be Forest or West Ham, unless either manager can turn things around. If both managers can turn things around then I think Man Utd are genuine relegation candidates because every other team in the league is unironically better than them in terms of players and managers.
>>
>>151076470
You say this but Newcastle are below them and genuinely look worse, I know we can't really talk about them here because it sets people (one person?) off but Newcastle are getting away with being truly abysmal in a way that other clubs aren't.
>>
>>151076478
Newcastle and Villa are both in a bit of a slump at the moment, but both teams have genuinely decent squads and good managers. They'll find their form and climb up the table eventually. Nothing I've seen about Amorim's United convinces me that they can do the same.

The argument I always see on why United are shit is because the owners 'take money out of the club and don't invest in the team'. Ignore for a min they've spent nearing £2bn since Fergie left, I don't think giving them another £1bn would help. They say that because of the debt they have lost out on £1bn that could have been put towards the club. Ignoring that if there was no debt, that 'profit' would have gone into the shareholders pockets anyway. You can't argue that United aren't backed financially in the market. This isn't like Arsenal during the stadium building years where Wenger basically had to sell his best players and got maybe 10% of the sale to buy new players (and somehow always got Top 4). United spend hundreds of millions regularly.

Look at Chelsea. They spent £2bn in three(?) windows and it didn't improve them massively. It won't for United. I don't see why they think that if the Glazers were gone and the debt was gone that United would improve massively and quickly. But you're right, it is the fans. Goldbridge (sorry I have to use him as an example) championed 'give Amorim 10 games' and he's already wanting him out... Sorry, 'apathetic to whether he stays', and we're at what, six games? Then he uses an analogy that United hired a guy who cooks Indian food and gave him ingredients for Chinese instead. I dunno who said buying three No.10's was right (Sesko is a No.10) but they did. So if it wasn't Amorim's decision, that person is to blame. If Brighton can buy nobodies and make them good so can United. Arsenal spent £13m on Mosquera and he looks pretty good.

Either way the Glazers WILL leave but it won't be until 2035 (or whenever the new stadium is built) because this entire plan with Sir Jim is all about making massive profits. They want to sell to Qatar - why do you think the new stadium design looks like a mosque? New stadium, new training ground, new area then sell to Qatar for £15bn.

Arsenal attacked a lot yesterday. It was attack versus defence. Arsenal had like 20 shots (only 7 on target) to Newcastle's 8(3). Pope just made one worldie save, another near worldie save and another great save. If Newcastle had won or drawn that he was MotM. The issue with Arsenal is their attacking coach is shit and predictable. Maybe when Havertz is back they'll try a 4-4-2 or something. But atm I watch them and it's like watching England. Same shit, easy to defend. Only difference is Arsenal are way better at set pieces than England kek.

Anyway whatever Arsenal won't win shit anyway. They're not good enough and that's just facts.

>The issue with Arsenal is their attacking coach is shit and predictable. Maybe when Havertz is back they'll try a 4-4-2 or something
is this a thing being said in arsenal circles? try 4-4-2?
>>
>>151076784
I have no idea, I don't support Arsenal but I watch MotD and highlights and they're basically England as I said. Predictable. So the only way they can change it is to try Havertz and Gyokeres as the FW and two CMs and their wingers. As I said here >>151076782 they're basically heading towards that. 4-4-2 is the natural conclusion after set piece goals. Issue is Gyokeres isn't a small fast striker and Havertz isn't a slow target man (he's tall but decently fast based on what I've seen). Ain't no Heskey and Owen that's for troof.

Anyway what else can they do? Everybody knows how to beat them, just like they know how to beat England. Defend deep, snuff out wingers. To beat deep defences you need to cross and none of their wingers do that. It's le cut inside. Outside of Havertz there is nobody tall enough to do that for Arsenal anyway (or England come to that).
>>
>Amorim has to lose two more games on the bounce to be back to having more games played than points
A loss against Sunderland would make them 34-34.
>>
>>151076782
Arsenal played defensive football under George Graham, and everyone hated it for being boring. Then they played attacking football under Wenger, and everyone hated it for being foreign. Arsenal will always be hated because they represent London (which makes Northerners seethe) and they are local rivals of the designated Jew club (which makes the media seethe).
>>
>>151076855
Well I can't speak outside of the highlights but based on the stats, if you're having 20+ shots per game, it isn't really defensive football.

Arsenal rarely lose games, or even concede goals. Their recent problems are drawing too many games (14 draws last season in the league) and not scoring enough to turn those in to wins. Whether they can fix it this season who knows.
>>
>>151076753
isn't this contradictory?
saying we attacked a lot and basically nick pope had an insane game where he saved like 2-3 goals all by himself and then circling it back to arsenal being shit in attack and predictable?
if arsenal was shit and predictable in attack surely we wouldn't be playing the entire game in newcaslte half and surely nick pope wouldn't be making these world class saves.
also, arsenal have eze and gyokeres as new attacking options added to saka and trossard/martinelli, in any team when you add new attacking players they'll need time to gel and understand each other, if you watched the man united game for example and compare it to this game it's evident there was miscommunication and lack of knowledge between the players in attack, which is slowly but surely starting to fade as they play together more.
>>
>>151070368
nothing funnier than some mong trying to make a dream team when they dont even understand what's required of a WB in a 3-4-3 system lol

>>
>>151076889
You know what I mean. If you keep them out, they drop points. They have no way of getting past defences because everybody knows how to counter them.

>>151076891
Not really, no. Attacking a lot =! quality attacks. Also one game does not equate my point. As the guy I replied to above said, drawing way too many games. That means you're not scoring and winning. That means people are countering your attacks. It can't all be because of 'top quality' teams when even Port Vale did it.
