Mariners are in a good spot for next season if they can clear out the trash in the lineup. I mean we took the CS to game 7 and had one of the best (and highest paid) teams in the league on the edge. But you don't get to the world series with a bunch of your supposedly good batters hitting sub 0.200 or even sub 0.100 all playoffs. I think the team will be a lot better next year, but we'll need to drop some dead weight.

Last year my grandson was born during the playoffs in Ventura County. I have been a Padre fan since 1969. My sons are both Dodger fans. I flew out from the east to meet my grandson. I was at game 1 with my sons and their high school friends who were all die hard Dodger fans. I will tell you why I rooted for the Dodgers. They were playing the Yankees. Only team that can make me root for the Dodgers. I also much prefer the NL, and I was in such a fun vibe, my 10 day old grandson was there, and I would have just felt like being a contrarian would have self defeating to having a good time. By the time I flew home, I was sick of Dodger fans, and really didn't care who won. I pick Toronto now. But everyone could have some reason.
