swarez to spire, can't wait for him to underperform un yet another team
>>
Aside from possible changes due to the charter lawsuit, there isn't much left for the Cup series silly season at this point.
>>
>>151532830
im sure when engagement levels start to drop there will be some "organic" drama
>>
Btw one of the interview dropped the fact, that there are original RBR devs and even modders from the rsf team in the developer team of AC: Rally
hype is growing
also reports say it's pretty hard but realistic, bigger challenge than DR2
>>
>>151533509
You should not be excited for a rally game with a physics engine that cannot handle bumps and jumps without the suspension collapsing.
>>
>>151532712
>>
>>151533590
rally cars don't have issues with the suspension shitting itself after a jump, they are built to endure that
>>
>>151533774
Unfortunately, AC is not real life

well if AC has fundamental issues on their damper physics then using different parameters wouldn't change anything
>>
>>151533848
>>151535415
so you are trying to say that the cars will shit themselves after a jump?
Can you post your footage from sim racing expo which contradicts everyone else's who were happily driving through jumps, recorded on camera?
>>
>@NBC got 2.556 million viewers for Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race @Talladega, per @Nielsen Big Data + Panel figures, down from last year (3.127 million) but up from 2023.

>@ABCNetwork got 1.5 million for Sunday's F1 USGP @COTA for the race only (not including pre-race).
>>
>>151537739
in the peak years (first half of 00s) F1 produced the same number (1.5mil) in hungary on avarage.
Although context is important. Nascar's viewerbase is mostly the usa, so the global number I wouldnt bet penetrates even 5-6mil, while f1 has between 50 and 60 on avarage this season
>>
>>151537483
Uh, NTA, but it looks like he is saying the physics model of some game is bad, or something.

>>
>>151538074
Yeah, F1 used to be super popular in Germany too during the early 2000's. When Schumacher was still driving, the races had close to 10m viewers on average, now they're somewhere around 500k to 1.5m viewers, depending on whether the race is broadcast on free-to-air or pay TV.
>>
>>151538735
here its hard to judge. Our media authority made a an article about how the viewership was shaping from 2000 to 2021, but they were a bit clueless about the reasons for drop in viewership as they did not take F1TV into account. When it launched the viewership sharply declined on our free to air tv, some of my friends who started to watch in the past decade never even saw it on regular tv, just on F1tv

Maintenance ends up fucking you. Better to just buy a truck, a trailer, and a kart. You can use the truck for other stuff, and the learning curve on the kart will be faster, and cheaper, than the miata.
May not even need the trailer, I've seen different hitch mounted lifts that might actually work to just park it in the bed.

So even in the glorious land of punditry you pretty much have an even split between "Pecco is a world champion and he dominated at Motegi so it must be the bike, nobody's confidence swings like that" and "the bike is competitive so it must be Pecco, machines aren't that unpredictable ". But I think what stands out to me is that even relative to the guys on the hand me down satellite bikes that are ostensibly so consistent and easy, he is the one retard in the entire field doing shit like using the old shorter travel forks and like the oldest aero parts that still fit on the bike, and once you have it set in your mind there's only one way to go fast you're pretty much done at that level.

Really if you think about it in those terms, even though Gresini got its first GP wins of the season, in general the Ducatis have gone backwards in competitiveness since the summer break because you know, Aprilia and Honda and KTM are getting new development while all those GP24s (and the kwabnaiacycle) are not, but it's only Pecco that is especially confused that sitting still is going backwards and chasing his own tail into the abyss over finishing 6th instead of 3rd until it's 20th instead of 5th. Zarco's in the same hole since the summer break where he stopped having the newest shit then scared himself off the new parts and he's in the absolute shitter crashing every time you dare remember he exists.

>Frens, faggots, retards, stop being queers.
I had a realization today that I am quite ashamed it took me so long to have. That is to say, I have finally found an eloquent way to say what I have always known in my heart of hearts to be true.
The reason driving talent is so, so much more important than engineering tallen is because it is so much, much more rare and hard won.
Any filthy jew can procure heaps upon heaps of cash and buy success in a development series. But the sheer human ability to pilot any given machine is so much more rare.
Think not for a moment that I do not appreciate engineering excellence. I perhaps understand it more than most, but it is for this very reason that I appreciate the ability to execute the athletic utility of its fruits all the more.
TL;DR It is more fun to see where the talent ran out than to see where the money ran out.

If you think engineering is an equation consisting of MORE MONEYS = MORE ENGINEERINGS, no you don't understand anything at all much like you don't appreciate anything else about the western civilization you were gifted. >Öhlins now has two types of front fork, with a longer-travel version now available [this fork was created because MotoGP bikes are getting longer, so more travel and pitch helps them turn into corners better]. Many riders prefer more travel, but you prefer the older, shorter-travel fork. Why?
>I tested the longer-travel fork. It’s good but I love to always bottom the forks and with the longer forks you get more pitch, so more movement from the bike, so the bottom of the forks is further away for me and if I can’t reach the bottom I can’t go fast.

>So you like the forks to be fully bottomed?
>Yes. I prefer to feel the bike with the forks bottomed because I love to feel the front tyre.

>Wow! Because when most people feel the forks bottom out they freak out! But you like them to bottom, so there’s no more suspension, so all you feel is the front tyre.
>Yes and then I control it with the brake lever [using brake pressure to control fork compression]. I’m the only rider at Ducati who does this. I’ve always liked it like this, since Moto3, when I used the same fork springs in the wet and the dry. The same in Moto2 and now in MotoGP the springs I use in the wet and dry are very similar.

Both the long travel forks (this is from 2023 so I guess it's an even longer long travel fork for 2025) and the lower holeshot device make the bike slower and harder to bottom out so there's basically all of Bagnaia's complaints about front end feel this season. Those things are in principle almost free lap time with a normal riding style which is why Ducati really, really didn't want to stop using them.

So legitimately, Bagnaia is effectively riding last year's bike at this point because he can't get anything out of this year's new stuff. So if you were for the sake of simplicity to say everyone else that didn't get hurt or swap teams or whatever gained half a second on Bagnaia in the last year, it would move him from 1st to 1st at Motegi, 1st to 1st at Sepang, 3rd to 10th in Indonesia, and 3rd to 14th in Australia. Obviously the reality was a little bit worse than that and Philip Island is a short track so it should be less, but once they get back 7th or 8th or so they start panicking and either throwing setup changes at the bike or he starts trying to over ride what he's got, because as always it's easy to say your bike is easy to ride when you're miles faster than everyone else.
