The same in Moto2 and now in MotoGP the springs I use in the wet and dry are very similar.Both the long travel forks (this is from 2023 so I guess it's an even longer long travel fork for 2025) and the lower holeshot device make the bike slower and harder to bottom out so there's basically all of Bagnaia's complaints about front end feel this season. Those things are in principle almost free lap time with a normal riding style which is why Ducati really, really didn't want to stop using them.

Obviously the reality was a little bit worse than that and Philip Island is a short track so it should be less, but once they get back 7th or 8th or so they start panicking and either throwing setup changes at the bike or he starts trying to over ride what he's got, because as always it's easy to say your bike is easy to ride when you're miles faster than everyone else.
