So which school is going to get a black head coach or are they all racist?
>>
>>151646017
Is Franklin still considered to be black?
>>
>>151646023
Franklins racial status is under review
>>
Is Lane Kiffin the only coach in America? Seems like every school wants him.
>>
>>151646041
That's the Houston Nutt Effect. Jimmy Sexton releases rumors about different schools wanting particular coaches in order to soften up the admin at their current schools for a better contract. It also can make schools looking for a coach panic sign a bad contract. Every big coaching cycle has a Lane Kiffin that's built up as the darling of college football so he can be used as leverage for Sexton's clients.

Auburn is the most racist FBS program and can no longer get away with not having a black coach. Every cycle there's a slam dunk black candidate and each time he gets passed over. No more! This is the twenty-first century.

>Tier 1: programs that should be natty contenders on a fairly consistent basis
LSU
>Tier 2: programs that should consistently make higher-level bowl games or the playoff and maybe be legit natty contenders once a decade or so
Florida, Pedo State
>Tier 3: programs that just want to make bowl games, maybe if they have a crazy season they’ll make the playoff but they’ll get btfo immediately
Virginia Tech, Arkansas, UCLA, Okie State
>Tier 4: no real football expectations, just don’t embarrass the school too much
Stanford, Beavs, Colorado State, UAB, Kent State
>>
>>151646505
How are your poor Tier 3 teams who have always cared and have actual historical success punching above their weight supposed to afford anything now? What happens when a team like Virginia Tech or West Virginia finds their Michael Vick or Pat White who can make them a contender only to instantly face the prospects of losing them through the portal to a school who can offer 4x their current NIL deal.
>>
If I'm Penn State university, I'm offering Mike Elko well over $12 to leave Texas A&M and come to Happy valley.
>>
>>151646551
Ass to mouth is better positioned to win natties than the pedos are and they definitely have enough oil money to match any offer the pedos could make, why would he leave?
>>
>>151646528
Reflect on all the free value they got in the past and realize it's never coming back. You're looking at things from a program point of view, acting like the players aren't humans, they're hidden jewels to be plucked out of a mine. When the world changes and the old model is no longer viable, some adjust. Others wither away and die. No amount of whining and crying is going to bring the old system back. Either adjust or if that's not possible, accept death. Sewanee was once the most feared football program in the country. Now they're DIII nobodies. Life moves on.
>>
>>151646528
How are Indiana, Vandy and Georgia Tech doing so well?
>>
>>151646628
Because they have donors with a fuck ton of money who have just never applied it to anything.

It took WVU 2 years to fire Neal Brown because of his buyout and only got Rich Rodriguez because he's a rehash hometown discount but Indiana raised 10 million dollars a year at the snap of a finger for Cignetti the second the coaches carousel started turning,.
>>
>>151646582
$12 is $12 man, it's going to be mighty tempting
>>
It'll never be not hilarious to me that Penn State triggered the series of events that will prevent them from getting their own Elite coach

why are college ADs the only ones to lose their minds and promise 6 yr 60 mill contracts to guys after 1 good season when pro leagues are always pushing coaches into 1 year left prove it or else contracts?
>>
>>151646713
I cannot think or comprehend of anything more cucked than having a college recruit. Honestly, Think about it rationally. You are feeding, clothing, raising and rearing a buck for at least a year solely so he can go and transfer to another team. All the hard work you put into your handsome strong buck– doing his homework at bedtime, making sure he goes to sports practice, making sure he had a healthy diet, educating him, playing with him. All of it has one simple result: his body is more enjoyable for other coaches

Raised the perfect buck? Great. Who benefits? If you’re lucky, a random coach who had nothing to do with the way he grew up, who starts him. He gets to start him every saturday night. He gets the benefits of his strong and sweaty body that came from the way you trained him.

As a coach who has a recruit, you are LITERALLY dedicating at least 2 years of your life simply to train a buck for another coach to enjoy. It is the ULTIMATE AND FINAL cuck. Think about it logically.
>>
>>151646786
You almost never see NFL coaches getting 1 year contracts with no security. In fact, coaches rarely make it to the final year of their deals anymore
>>
>>151646951
well I know coaches get 2-3 years to show progress and can get fired after even just one if they look like shit. hell marvin lewis spent 15 years treading water. but I remember mccarthy dealing with having one year left though I guess that was just Jerry being Jerry. bottom line I don't get why they get short contracts and ADs spend like drunken sailors. FL is paying 3 coaches after just getting done doing that same shit a few years ago!

>>151646907
You're basically right: if you're a small programs coach, you have to know it's a sure thing your best players are gone year after year because you simply cannot pay to keep them. Must suck. Only logic I can think of is small program coaches want the best players so they can win and move up the coaching ranks themselves, so they eventually benefit from it too. Then once they become a P5 coach, they can poach good players from small schools.
>>
>>151647072

Vandy maybe, they literally bought an entire hot G5 team. Georgia Tech at least does not have "a fuck ton of money" in the football program. They completely sold out the naming rights to their field just to scrounge a little extra money. There aren't really that many super wealthy GT alumni that care about football. They have a coach and an OC who are both really good recruiters and and have actually built a football culture, and have been MUCH more successful historically, even as recently as 10 years ago, than Vandy or Indiana. Indiana seems sort of the same way but idk much about their finances.
>>
>>151647730
Gotta beat FSU and Georgia, sometimes Miami every year. LSU can lose to Bama and still make the CFP with 10-11 wins

How exactly does anyone explain the disparity between what buying out a coach costs and what buying 5 star players costs... 50 million can literally buy you so much elite talent that any 100 IQ normal guy could coach into a good team.

It just does not make sense to be firing your head coaches like this. If anything get new coordinators if you want to revamp your team.

most successful isn't always the same as "best". Hence your earlier point about program building. That's not necessarily interchangeable with success. got yourself tangled up here.
>>
>>151648824
The problem with that idea is schools have to ask the same whales to fund both their coaching staff and their NIL payroll. If those donors no longer have confidence in the coach and want him to fuck off they aren't going to pay up for NIL. It's not like Kelly can claim he didn't have enough NIL support. LSU went hard in the portal last cycle and besides his first transitional class right after he was hired, all of Kelly's high school classes were in the 5th-10th range.

but I imagine once you have guaranteed $50M or something in your pocket, what's the big difference in your life if now you're between $70M or $90M
yeah you've got tens of millions more, but you're already rich beyond measure
idk just seems like it would be easy for these coaches to relax, if even subconsciously

>>151649343
to add, compare it to something like boxing
young poor fighters do great when they're up and coming, outwork everyone, get big, and then they make $50M on a PPV and fall off
obviously exceptions to that, but once they get the bag sometimes it's easier to relax a little
>>
>>151649343
yeah diminishing marginal returns. you need to have the variety of autism that Saban, Meyer, Brady, Jordan had where they're never really satiated by wins or money. Always gotta jam up the next set of competitors. It's not particularly common
>>
I appreciate the fact that Ole Miss and Georgia got coaches that elevated their schools up a tier, but it is unrealistic to believe that LSU or Florida should attempt to do the same
>>
>>151649374
yeah totally right
need that mindset in a coach
seems pretty hard to find lately

yes actually good call. Man's getting butthurt even when he's winning by a lot. he's also got something locked up in terms of scheme/prep/strategy. His teams are drastically outperforming talent in terms of net success and yards per play to an extent that amounts to like 2 scores per game. For multiple years in a row. I'm not sure if that skill set translates to one of the biggest dogs in the room, but I wouldn't bet against the Cig man

He doesn't have a singular business like Nike, but he has many business ventures and is a multi-billionaire, so it's not like he can't bankroll the football team.

>>
>>151649176
A 3 year span with 2 natties and 2 CCGs off the back of a generational QB talent followed by rage quitting and leaving the program in disarray it has yet to really recover from is arguably much worse "success" than inventing Florida football, pulling the inaugural natty, and dominating the conference for a decade. Whatever dude, idk why you're even obsessed with this detail, the original reply I made was about how LSU football as an institution has been a much more stable and strong SEC/national contender for much longer than Florida. The Spurrier thing was just a dig at the school.

>the fda is retarded and banned snus imports
I actually just got 30 cans delivered to my UPS store this morning. They're not banned, the FDA started poking around and banning a few specific brands and and some US facing retailers started refusing shipments. Even some of the "banned" brands are still getting through (from personal experience), though please don't order them and then try to charge back when it get confiscated because then more retailers will start refusing US orders.
>>
retarded zoomers weren't alive to see what disappointing losers LSU were during the 1980s-1990s, it's not a program that guarantees natties

What kind of a retarded faggot are you? If the in state talent doesn't matter then what does? Do you think the water at your university makes it better than others? Because talent and coaching are pretty much the only factors that matter in having a good football team. And the coach himself brings the coaching so yeah the "good jobs" are just where they have the most talented players who want to play for you. Texas and Florida having more than their fair share of bad coaching in the past only makes these BETTER jobs for a prospective coach, not worse.

This was all true until NIL anyway. Now I suppose a talent pipeline is unimportant you can get unlimited bucks from the deep south to go play for oregon.

LSPoo saying they could get Freeman and their S&C coach back because “he has family in Louisiana, he wants to come home.” Pedo State saying they can get anyone who is already a contender (they can’t, the stank of being pedo state means they are forever relegated to stepping stone status and will need a G6 hire).

not really true. Evolution can be looked at from different perspectives. The gene itself, the individual, or the tribe. A tribe of all psychopaths might struggle to survive. Too much internal conflict and shit. But if you have a tribe filled with highly conscientious people, the psychopath genes would probably increase replication chances for the individual within the tribe.
