Can't decide between this or the Chelsea game. On hand, this Wolves side are genuinely, truly, in every sense of the word, fucking abysmal. They looked low on confidence if anything, maybe they're still annoyed about the last game. Rice wasn't up to his usual standard either but that's probably because he's returning from illness. Combination of factors contributed to this shit performance but finally we had some luck on our side. Classic Arteta tactics. One goal and defend like your life depends on it. Doesn't matter if you're against the worst team in the history of the PL. Just don't attack. Don't keep possession. If you're going to counter attack, keep 8-9 players in your box.

>>
>>152488329
I did some back of the napkin analysis, and Gyökeres needs to play more like he did in Sporting and not in Coventry. Right now, he's not running in to space as often and when he does fraudegaard and other don't pass it. When they did (see Calamari/Trossard a few matches a go) he excels. Arsenal look better with him on the pitch as he pins the defenders and gives space to Quacka

Sharteta needs to step it up and solve it.
>>
>>152488440
Arsenal basically need to look at Haaland and copy some of those strats without impairing Saka/Trossard
>>
They better go Dubai this week to get better. I need a 20W streak.

When you have a free metre, normally we put the ball not on target and go, and we put it out and time and time and time again, it is frustrating, yeah, but this is the game, but I expect to hit the right colour. You have to hit the back post every single time at this level, and today we haven't done it, so we started to make things more difficult for us.

problem is, the raw talent is so much lesser in the world now compared to just 10-12 years ago. Right now the only ones that are truly insane elite players are Kane, Mbappe nd Haaland.

But 10-12 years ago there were so many OP players the lesser teams could get Higuain, Cavani, Di Maria, Tevez, Suarez, Sanchez, Ozil.

Nobody on the market this summer or next summer is close to that level and its so annoying because we are finally in a position where we can demand to buy the best players

I don't think Arsenal will win it this year either. There's something about this team I can't put my finger on that makes me feel the title isn't realistic. Man City, and now Aston Villa somehow, show up to games and win like it's their job. I never get that feeling with Arsenal. The attack isn't reliable or consistent enough. It's good, like they can destroy teams. But they can also go 2-3 games without a performance. you can't win a title like that regardless of how good your defense is.

Lmao these weak-minded faggots have already thrown the towel in because their feeble psyche can not handle a title race that is a little bit tight.
You retards accuse Arsenal players of being weak-minded and collapsing under pressure, but you're even worse.
16 games in, top of the table both in EPL and CL, while going through a severe injury crisis....All the players are either injured (Gabriel, Havertz), or just came out from injury (Saliba, Trossard), or are at the verge of getting injured (Saka, Rice).
This is the lowest this Arsenal team can get

you mean red cards for literally touching the ball after the whistle was blown? the var controversies? randos scoring from the halfway line?uefa changing the rules for the knockout stages?

>All the players getting injured
yes fine you have a point there. still, merino getting injured on his first day, ode struggling because some random broke his ankle with a tackle from behind, cala landing awkwardly and fucking up his knee twice, etc etc. on top of that if your manager asks you if you can play and you know you cant you should probably say something right?

>the horseshoe of death

We can't be picky where Europeans cups are concerned.

>stupidly giving up pressure after the 1-0
That happens SO FUCKING MUCH that I find it hard to believe that no one is asking them to do that. The amount of times we have all complained here about the team scoring one goal and then just sitting back for the rest of the game is just uncountable.

Burnley won a trophy when they finished first in the Championship

Gyokeres is genuinely one of the worst strikers I’ve seen at Arsenal. I’m not even sure he’s better than Chamakh or Bendtner. I just don’t know what he does at all. He loses every duel, gets outpaced by every defender, his touch is terrible and his passing is awful.

>Former Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu is set to join Dutch giants Ajax on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

If wolves didnt gift that goal at the end we'd be 2nd, CP played vs city like us in the first 25 minutes of most games, dominating but not scoring and the other team snatches a goal from being efficient with the minimal chances they got in the first half, f'n jobbers, whole league is a conspiracy

Aubameyang was born in the wrong generation, imagine him at his prime in this arsenal team

They thought they were buying their own Haaland, but they got their own Hojlund instead
>>
I usually don't like when arteta tries to copy pep but he needs to start playing to gyokores' strengths like city is with haaland this season, if he's starved to the point where he gets 0 to 2 chances per game, no wonder he's struggling
>>
>>152499889
Hojlund at utd looked sharper than gyokeres

i miss him so much, please send him back already

Arsenal are not winning the Premier League.
Arsenal are not winning the Champions League.
Arsenal have been good evening'd by Unai Emery in another PL season.

The League cup is ours.

I’m gonna wait until January to state my opinion, but it’s not looking good for big Vik.

All I wanted was a guy who could score every other game and pump them in against the shit teams. Arsenal always has these matches where everyone is tired, not performing great - >we need some big grug to smash a couple in to give everyone (Saka) a break. This just isn’t Viktor.
>>
Arsenal don't have a single player in the Premier League top scorer rankings or in the assist rankings, but Raya is tied for first in clean sheets. Basically what you'd expect from such a defence heavy team.
>>
>defence heavy team.
>Arsenal have 4.75 shots on target per match at home in the Premier League this season.
>second on total shots
take your hot takes to /epl/ you fags

arsenal have scored the 2nd most amount of goals in the league though

>City will hardly drop any points as long as the ogre isn’t injured.
Meanwhile in reality:
>Haaland has missed insignificant minutes (if any) this season
>has already lost 4 matches in the league
>out of the current top 8, has only been to 3 of the grounds and picked up 4/9 points from it (Arsenal's ratio is currently worse, but they've at least played more of them and are still above city)
>haven't even played Chelsea yet at all
Arsenal is still very capable of slipping, but this Citeh squad is NOT the team you doomers pretend it is (muh sharks lmao). We will drop more points, so will they. Do not be surprised if the winner this season has barely over 80 points
>>

>Do not be surprised if the winner this season has barely over 80 points
The supercomputer seems to think so >>152490116
The predicated points have remained somewhat steady, but Arsenal's percentage to win the league has dropped about 10% over the past few weeks.
>>
Arsenal aren't a very good footballing side I'm afraid
>>
>>152505709
As it currently stands, they're the best in England and Europe.

>>152506188
If that were true they wouldn't have just struggled to beat the worst Prem side of all time

Supercomputers don't take injuries and game form into account
Arsenal's form at the moment is midtable at best (if we cound tge Wolves "win") and our key players are injured
>>
>>152502171
Without set pieces and OGs we'd be at the bottom half near the relegation zone

100% out if we don't walk away from this season with at least a PL or a CL.

>>152511882
I think they'll still keep him on for at least another season even then.
>>
Hope all you miserable cunts kill yourself before you're able to see us win the league again.

Nah that'll be artetasexuals in 2 weeks when Emery btfo the cone placer to go top of the league
