Onosato has really good balance and awareness of the straw bales, a key factor that separates Yokozuna from the rest. He's almost immune to henkas too since he doesn't blindly bull rush, he's just a steamroller that moves forward decisively.

Onosato in his Shishi era without knowing exactly what he is doing but winning because he is very big.

Ok I'm done pretending to hate Hoshoryu. He manages a consistently fucking good win rate basically every basho even if he doesn't yuushou ever since he got the rope. His sumo is good, he's fast, aggressive, strong, and good at adapting to throws. He's also a nice guy outside the tournaments in the youtube videos.
I apologize. Hoshoryu did nothing wrong. He doesn't deserve the hate. At most, some criticism for his attitude with pushing people after the bout is over and mongolian fatigue after the last 15 years but otherwise he should be treated better by you guys.

Sept and Nov were the ones I was the most fine with as at that point I was already bitter. It was March and then the beginning part of May is what made me bitter. March was my first time following a basho, I was excited to see how he'd do as a Yokozuna, and I had these expectations of what a Yokozuna was. Then bro gets ass blasted into dropping out early. Huge disappointment. Yes he was injured but the problem is that we can never know if their actually injured or saving face but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. May comes and then he loses two straight early. Yeah, him wiping his taint on Onosato's zensho rope was cool but in the end it was meaningless. Then July came and he dropped out again. At that point I was just fucking done.
