The question that always comes up with a Paddy Pimblett fight is if he really is a good fighter or not. Is he? I believe he is it's just that he hasn't fought the best level of opponents yet. His last couple fight were all people on losing streaks but he did show that he belongs in the octagon and could dismantle them and get the finish (except for tony) but that is what he's supposed to do right. Justin Gaethje will definitely be his highest leveled opponent as of yet but stylistically, on paper or whatever it should be a very winnable fight for him. The thing is you can't count Gaethje out especially with this potentially being his last fight. i can absolutely see Gaethje chinning Paddy in the first round and that's was always gonna be his most likely way of winning. Thing is paddy is probably aware of that and has trained and gameplanned accordingly but will it be enough? That remains to be seen. But let's say Paddy wins and gets the interim belt, I cannot see him beating Ilia or Arman for that matter. The skill gap would be too high but I believe he is good enough to be a top contender for a while but never being able to win gold. That's how I see his career play out if he gets through Gaethje. If Gaethje wins then he'll probably fall way down below.
