It's like a madden player who is only capable of watching one receiver during the play. These plays are easy to scheme against because you just have to shut down one guy each play. Offenses go to the air raid offense where they just chuck it up hoping someone makes a play, without taking strategic shots in man coverage or openings. Peyton Manning and elite quarterbacks were surgical. They would spread the ball around. If you had a hole in the defense, he would stand in the pocket and read it. Sometimes he would read it before the play went off. These are just things that they don't learn in college. They don't learn it under veteran QBs either, because veteran QBs with a good football have basically all retired now. Aaron Rodgers and Flacco are the last ones.
