Now they just transfer as soon as a bigger school comes calling so that critical mass of experience and chemistry that could knock off more talented but younger/less experienced teams to go on a run in the tournament never happens.And the kicker? Most of the time in the portal you're not actually upgrading. You're just pissing away more money to replace your 11 PPG or whatever player with somebody else's 11 PPG player. Unfortunately coaches and GMs are so caught up in fomo they'll keep throwing bags at the portal hoping this time they bought the winning lottery ticket instead of just breaking even yet again.
