My 'gades :)
They updated the OT rule on defensive penalties. Subsequent defensive fouls don't result in an automatic good try anymore, it escalates to half the previous distance. So instead of the 1, it goes to the 1/2. Then 1/4. Etc. No change to the offensive side, if you commit a foul on offense it will result in a loss of down, period. I'm sure nobody will scream about this in the future.
>>154242966an improvement, people will always scream.
>>154242966But any what point does it get ridiculous? Are we really going to do "Ball on the 1/128"?
>>154243014I will scream because I think the original rule didn't need much tweaking.>>154243018Honestly it gets ridiculous after the 1/2 yard mark. Should have just changed it to "If 2 consecutive defensive penalties, automatic good try." I think everyone would be fine with that.
>>154243325That's what it was.
>>154243352No it wasn't, it was "2 penalties in the OT period". What I'm saying is the holding called on Louisville that ended the game should have moved to the 1 yard line, despite the fact that they had a penalty on an earlier try, and THEN if they commit another penalty the try is good. Also have the refs announce after the first penalty "You do this shit again and they're getting the points".
>>154243425This makes more sense. Knee jerk change was not the move
>>1542454233 bongs until 80k people watch Houston get their ass ripped open on the NFL Network
>>154245744Didn't mean to respond but whatever. Fuck it we ball.
