MVP/Netflix isn't intending to compete with the UFC, not yet. They don't have the roster or market space necessary to meaningfully challenge the UFC as things are nowHowever, I think it's really clear what the plan is. A couple of big cards a year, drag in the casuals with names, use Strikeforce style matchmaking to stack the deck in terms of exciting cards. When the current administration is gone and the UFC has fully exhausted it's audience with low quality events and poor production, Netflix can start actually challenging them.
