Seems like they completely reworked victories, added a mode where you don't have that civ-switching mechanic, reworked civics and also map generation is now much, MUCH better (seen some screens here and there and it looks like another game lol), added Alexander the Great. There's also many other changes to mechanics that I don't know about since I haven't tried VII yet (like triumphs, commerce, syncretism etc.)
It's a free update thankfully, not like they could afford to make it paid since they're leaking players lol
