Thx man also was a big Agon fan. I remember him hitting a walk off GS against your Mets in 2010 (Adrian's last year before he got shipped to Boston). A fun fact I always tell people is he Adrian never hit a HR after 8 PM at Petco with the Padres (not sure about his Dodgers tenure). He was a lot of fun to watch and was a local guy, sad to see the Padres fumble him. Honestly, as you probably have felt with Preller, I don't hate Stearns at all. In fact I largely agree with what he's done and think this year can be chalked up to shit luck. Obviously he gambled with the position swaps and injury histories and chemistry and trusting Senga/Manaea, but I liked what he was trying to do. I like his vision. And I think we have a great farm. Hell, Benge & Ewing & McLean & Scott are all basically rookies and look like 3 WAR will be their basement moving forward. That's incredible success for a single year of call-ups

Yeah, Benge specifically caught my eye, and obviously McLean hit the ground running. Good to see Scott come back strong after his first run at the majors. I was kinda buried under schoolwork during the depths of the Padres rebuild under Preller so it was nice to fast forward to Machado and Tatis lol. Hopefully Stearns can improve on the periphery/vet moves. I get there's some run-up when you're doing an organizational overhaul, but I sorta expected better from him after running the show for seven years in Milwaukee. Hopefully it's all worth it soon for you guys.
