WoC bros, what is the use case for chariots/gorebeast chariots? I got a few in the army box and they seem underwhelming. I get you could stick a character on them but otherwise they feel like they don't do all that much.

>D6+2 S5 impact hits

Try it and see for yourself. I'm not trying to be snide, this is genuine advice. Chariots are great value for their points but also look gangster as hell. Gorebeasts seem to be less popular and most people suggest you go with horsies for the extra speed, but I've had good things done with Gorebeasts and the extra +1M lost is worth the punch that they bring.

i like warhammer fantasy i like it because it has swords and shields and forests and cities and guns and pistils and hirses and armour and evil bikings and big orcs and little goblins and beastmen in the woods and trolls in the mountains and rivers and theres elves with bows who will shoot you and elves with spears who will stab you and there is money and there is magic and wizards and sorcerors and there is evil ratmen sneaking around and there is cannons and there is dwarfs digging around and its q cool big fyn advebture

and theres undead and different continents and societies and french so its like a big huge world u can imagine
>>
>>97355944
From personal experience, there isn't one. I can't speak for gorebeast chariots, but my regular chariot has flubbed it in every game I've used it in. It looks super cool and the rules make you think it'll be really sick on the charge, but it just isn't. I suppose you can't really complain seeing as it only costs 110 points, but I've had my chariot go barrelling into 80 points of dwarf rangers and bounce right off after inflicting only a single wound. Call it bad luck, a statistical anomaly, whatever, I'm still bringing it to every game because painting it was an ordeal and I want to get my time's worth, but I don't think chaos chariots are very good.

Post art you like.

Necromancy Edition

>What is Trench Crusade?
An alternate weird history 28mm/32mm tabletop skirmish game still in a pre-release playtesting phase but with the full release slated for this year. Based on the art and lore of Mike Franchina, whose illustrations you may have seen floating around on /tg/ for a several years now, and designed by Tuomas Pirinen, one of the original creators of Mordheim. It's grimdark, it's visceral, it's awesome, and it's very Blanchitsu.

>What Trench Crusade is not
TC not an excuse for you to discuss IRL religion, history that didn't occur in the game, culture war shit, or discord bullshit on /tg/. Keep it on topic.

>What's the QRD on the background?
The Knights Templar turned heretic and opened the Gates of Hell when they took Jerusalem during the First Crusade. Over 800 years later the war is still ongoing as technology has developed to a pseudo diesel-punk WW1 standard and a third of Humanity has sided with the Infernal Princes.

>How do I get started?

In theory you could use it to
>Play Promo ShoeShoemon (+ Token)
>activate emblem to Digivolve to Karakurumon
>Karakurumon deletes emblem to Digivolve to Cendrillmon/Kaguyamon
But given that's mid overclock attack already, Kaguyamon won't get its EoYT or see any deletions and Cendrillmon will just spit out a level 4? No idea where you're getting all these cards to play from hand either.

Honestly I find the new Cendrillmon really lazy too so I guess I'm not shocked. Hopefully Mirai and Kaguyamon inspire me.

I dont know anons i dont feel like it would be a good use for the deck being able to draw you can do it with the digi egg and playing a puppet you can do it with the cat and the new lv6

And still prefer the old combo
>play emblem to play promo arisa
>move shoemon ex7
>digivolve to shoeshoemon promo
>suspend to gain one memory
>apply the effect of emblem and digivolve to karakuru
>karakuru delete token and digivolve to Cendrillmon/Kaguyamon

Ryutaro's Agumon X is actually sorta good in a subtle way. Being able to grab a single card from your trash for essentially free is actually super useful. The amount of times I've lost a stack and had 3/4ths of a new one in my hand just to be short either a Tyranno or Mastertyranno is crazy.
>>
>>97356024
Yeah nothing changes with that combo, it's just a matter of whether Rush is more valuable than an additional body (and/or if played by an effect is a better timing than deletion for emblem purposes)

How much would/should changing the default setting from High Medieval to Late Bronze Age change the game?

For example, lowering AC across the board to simulate the lack of general armour. How much would that affect balance?

Both are true. I personally like a mythologized and magical version of Earth's history. But if you just think the Bronze Age is cool, then there's nothing wrong with saying "it happened in my fantasy world like that 'cuz magic!" But it's a descent point that, if you're gonna do fantasy bronze-age, you should feel free to throw in the odd bit of anachronistic tech. Hell even if you're doing it Earth-ish. It's fun. And games should be.
>>
>>97356076
Sure, it's the home for so many of our fantastical notions.

I'd attribute anachronistic technology to the artifices of Daidalos, or the work of Cyclopes under instruction from Hephaestus.

Tatooine's importance makes sense in the Lucas films
It doesn't in other media
>>
>>97354683
I suppose Tatooine appears more prominent to us because how often it shows up in secondary media due to OT nostalgia, but in-universe there's stuff constantly happening on thousands of other planets as well but we don't get to see it. Most of the times Tatooine appears and isn't directly related to the Skywalkers it's some variation of "some dude went there and shot some sand people and stuff while on some mission", which isn't something that would really catch the galaxy's attention. One of the Rakaata star maps was there in KOTOR, but there were some on other planets there so that isn't an exclusive Tatooine thing.

I know there's Everyone Is John, is there anything like picrel? A lighter Fiasco-style game, mixed with Monster of the Week? (Ideally not PbtA please.)

Also what are /tg/'s thoughts on SP? Both the comic and the movie.

Fiasco is for telling stories where some big plan goes sideways. Monster of the Week is PBTA for Scooby-Doo capers, usually supernatural mysteries. Sluglaster is FITD (PBTA-adjacent) gonzo, 80s themed sci-fi about cool kids doing hoverboard tricks.

None of them emulate Scott Pilgrim.
>>
>>97349178
I give you points for not doubling down on your bitchiness and actually providing reasons this time.
You're underselling MotW as Scooby-Doo. It features serialized mysteries themed around investigating and taking down the titular monster of the week, but unlike with the mystery gang that shit is assumed to be real. It's not just Barry the janitor in an animatronic, there's legit supernatural stuff going on. Fuck, even the players can use magic. That's practically the same thing as a serialized sequence of urban fantasy mysteries/fights against seven deadly exes. I mean it's literally based off fucking BtVS, if you can't see the similarities there then I'm afraid I can't help you.

Likewise with Slugblasters, "cool kids do X supernatural shit while dealing with mundane life drama" is literally Scott Pilgrim.

You're bang on about fiasco not emulating SP. That's the only kudos I can give your retardation, however. Frankly I preferred thinking of you as malicious.
>>
>>97350001
MotW having actual supernatural shit does not make it a good fit for Scott Pilgrim. It's not "practically the same thing" just because there's some magic. It's also PBTA which OP specified he does not want.

Slugblaster, likewise, is a poor fit. It's all gadgets and robots and "HEY REMEMBER THE 80s/90s?!" but it's a FITD game, which means it's about staging heists and adventures and trying not to fuck everything up. The FITD component already disqualifies it again. It's just clocks and handwaving shit, like most FITD games are.

Scott Pilgrim isn't cool kids doing supernatural shit. It's painfully mundane outside of the fights, which was kind of the entire point. Scott can't fist fight his way into a healthy relationship and until he realizes that, he'll continue to be a fucking loser and an asshole. If you want big combat in between hyperbolic 20-something relationship drama, both are a bad fit.

Welcome to the Old School Renaissance General, the thread dedicated to first-decade D&D, its faithful modern clones, and content created for use with them. Later editions (2e and newer) should be discussed elsewhere.

Broadly, OSR games encourage a tonal and mechanical fidelity to Dungeons & Dragons played as intended by its creators from 1974 to 1983 — less emphasis on linear adventures and overarching metaplots and a greater emphasis on player agency.

If you are new to the OSR, welcome! Ask us whatever you're curious about: we'll be happy to help you get started. We also have two excellent beginner guides created by Anons with feedback from the thread that you can check for help:

Speaking of my group plays 5th edition 40k, and a friend recently found the 5th edition dwarfdex for sisters and now tries to insist I use it over my Witchhunters codex. It's hard to refuse as we play at his. Thing is, it's an 11 page listing that roughly amounts to cruddace having a tantrum and taking every nice thing the sisters had, nerfing the shit out of acts of faith, and completely deleting the relics. Cloak of Saint Aspira? Litanies of Faith? Book of Saint Lucious? Purity seals? Bionics? The Mantle of Ophelia? The different banners? All gone, like tears down cruddaces face when a battlesister squad heavy flamered his precious Eldar.

This thread is for discussion and development logging.

It's easiest to learn with YGO/MTG experience.

It's not for sale, but you can request a free physical 2-player 90 card set by following the instructions in the description of this video:

I'd tell you to go start your own project, but I suspect that you literally can't.
Which is why you are drawn here to seethe helplessly, while better men do things with their time.

I have no desire to know what it feels like to be you.
But It looks uncomfortable.
>>

Nothing? Not a single picture?
Hell I'd even take genuine real interaction that goes beyond "hey I just got my playtest set!" That's followed by a single sentence reply or a reaction pic or rule spamming.
I wouldn't be pissing all over this thread if there was something substantial but you(OP) are using this board as your personal advertising site and fuck you for that, thats as low as some youtube eceleb creating drama threads about themselves.
Anyways keep seething you literally can't prove me wrong.
